(I will happily accept corrections and will listen to appeals for points, whether I act or not depends on how I'm feeling but let's make it a bit more interesting wink.gif)

1. Kygo & Whitney Houston – Higher Love

10pts: Kygo & Whitney Houston – Higher Love (chrissmith276, coi, Bjork, Mango, awardinary, StoneDragon, vibe, LewisGT, CJK, dandy*, rio309)
10pts: Steve Winwood – Higher Love (jimwatts, paulgilb)
10pts: Beyoncé – Love On Top (CianS, JulianT, Ansel)
10pts: The Maccabees - First Love (Riser)

0pts: Sigma – Nobody To Love (Mack)

A relatively easy one to start off with, what with the clue basically giving the answer and the songs being one of the more loved songs from recent years on Buzzjack. There were in fact a whole range of answers which could have been given for this one, including Beyoncé’s ‘Love On Top’ and ‘First Love’ by The Maccabees. Only one non-pointer here, I assume just one of those moments Mack?

2. Tiesto & Matthew Koma - Wasted

10pts: Tiesto & Matthew Koma - Wasted (Ansel)

4pts: REM – Losing My Religion (Bjork)
3pts: Madonna - Papa Don’t Preach (rio309)
3pts: Glasvegas – Daddy’s Gone (Mango, paulgilb, JulianT)
1pt: Basshunter - Now You're Gone (chrissmith276, coi)

0pts: Dua Lipa – Don’t Start Now (Riser)
0pts 1pt: Bon Jovi – Wanted Dead Or Alive (jimwatts)
0pts: Slowthai – CANCELLED (coz Father Ted was cancelled?) (CianS)
0pts: No Answer (awardinary, StoneDragon, vibe, LewisGT, CJK, dandy*, Mack)

Oh dear. One of my more ‘lateral thinking’ questions now, I was actually quite surprised at this only getting one correct answer given how well-guessed the other two questions of this sort were. The clue, if you haven’t worked it out already, takes the form of ‘Wasted’ = ‘Was Ted’, as e was before and is no longer. Evidently if you didn’t know who the person in the picture was it was difficult but there were a few guesses which sort-of got the ilk of Father Ted no longer being there and thus received some compensation points.

Ha would never have thought of that but knew there must be something specific about Father Ted!

3. MC Hammer – U Can’t Touch This

10pts: MC Hammer – U Can’t Touch This (coi, Mango, rio309)

1pt: Taylor Swift – Blank Space (StoneDragon)
1pt: L.A Mix - Check This Out (coz This is the stand out?) (CianS)
1pt: Danii Minogue - This is It <- cos "This" is repeated in all the titles (Bjork)
1pt: Similou – All This Love (jimwatts)
1pt: Petula Clark – This Is My Song (paulgilb)

0pts: ?? Something to do with space between This and U! (chrissmith276)
0pts: Don McLean – American Pie (JulianT)
0pts: Too Close - Alex Clare (because the letters are too close together) (Ansel)
0pts: Fall Out Boy - My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up) (Riser)
0pts: Little Mix – Break Up Song (dandy*)
0pts: No Answer (awardinary, vibe, LewisGT, CJK)

Next up is another which ended up with a surprisingly low guess count. Quite a few people got the significance of either the ‘this’ or the fact that there was always a space between ‘this’ and ‘u’ but only three people managed to merge them together into the classic by MC Hammer. I started off being very harsh on this question for no apparent reason so I’ve quickly added in a point or so for anyone who got the ‘this’ link at least.

Bugger! I should have got that one, I kept thinking of ‘noted’ instead

U Can’t Touch This makes sense too...

Hadn't picked up on the 'u' but I went for that because "all" was the only word to show "this" any love! biggrin.gif

The outer artists in the larger writing were British and the inner ones in the smaller writing were American. Hence I thought it was an American sandwich. laugh.gif

4. Kim Wilde – Kids In America

10pts: Kim Wilde – Kids In America (chrissmith276, Bjork, jimwatts, Mango, paulgilb, JulianT, Ansel, StoneDragon, CJK, dandy*, rio309)

1pt: Lynrd Skynrd – Sweet Home Alabama (CianS, vibe)
1pt: Liam Lynch - United States Of Whatever (Riser)

0pts: No Answer (awardinary, LewisGT, Mack)

Onto a more guessable answer now! ‘Boy’ and ‘Girl’ inside Alabama – a place in America – provides us with ‘Kids in America’, a song which is equally a classic and annoying at the same time. A few people went very much with ‘say what you see’ with Sweet Home Alabama, plus a guess for a song I’ve never heard of from Riser!

5. Bronski Beat – Smalltown Boy

10pts: Bronski Beat – Smalltown Boy (coi, jimwatts, Mango, JulianT, Ansel)

5pts: Billy Joel – Uptown Girl (dandy*)
3pts: Elton John – Made in England (Bjork)
1pt: P!nk – Family Portrait (chrissmith276)
1pt: Embrace – One Big Family (Riser)
1pt: Sister Sledge – We Are Family (vibe, Mack)

0pts: Wildhearts - Stormy In The North Karma In The South (paulgilb)
0pts: Sam Fischer – This City (awardinary)
0pts: Bible stories! (StoneDragon)
0pts: No Answer (CianS, LewisGT, CJK, rio309)

Four family members, three from big cities and one from a small town = Smalltown Boy! For the record I’ve never been to Kildwick, it was purely a random town I found in Wikipedia’s list of civil parishes, but it sounded fun enough. Dandy* feels so close to getting it right but goes for the wrong side of the picture, whilst a few family-related guesses pick up small points.

Just catching up with this. Glad to see I'm doing OK, though I was so sure about 'Daddy's Gone'! Glad to see I wasn't the only one who went down that path either! Maybe I didn't do as well as I thought in this after all laugh.gif

'Kids In America' took me longer than it should have, I just kept thinking Alabama and 'Sweet Home Alabama' before the answer clicked!

For 'Smalltown Boy' I originally had 'North Country Boy' before working out the correct answer.
