Pretty mad that FARC almost DNQ’d and then came top five in the final. One day a potential winner will be knocked out
in the semis due to an unfortunate draw like that. |

Congrats Chris! It was in my Top 15 after first listen but fefll quite a bit throughout the week whoops, still a good song though. Fab to see Zanmatony Top 10 and Singerpurear Top 20 as well! Shame to see Ojnoj in last though, missed my votes but one of the songs I can actually recall quite well now. Once again thanks for all the effort put into hosting John - and for all the mods for the work behind-the-scenes!

OMG CONGRATS CHRIS Puppy is a wonderful tune, had a kinda classic bjsc feel to it
also - THE BEST SONG WON!!! HALLELUJAH, and a big well done to Zanmatony for getting that amazing Mint Royale track in the Top 10 (note: neither would've happened if i didn't vote - BJSC has been saved thanks to me! ) I suppose 25th is pretty impressive for Dreamland, considering it's no less niche than all my recent entries! |

oh wow top 10 for Danæviia and more importantly, 7th which is a unique position! *.*
big yes for N DNTN winning as they were very much my fave of the contenders, congrats! also amazing to see Dobago and Zanmatony out-do the odds so much to reach top 10 as well, Zanmatony have had a very impressive comeback getting 2 back to back top 10s! Arcodesia deserved a lot better though at least they managed a few +18s from the dance bloc, and Cumulonimbia bottom 5 is a big shame. |

Entirely possible that such a thing might have happened already, there's no way we'd ever know about it for sure! (LION BABE's 'Treat Me Like Fire' came 8th after only qualifying because the number of qualifiers was expanded from 15 to 16 on a whim, and in the mess contest of BJSC 64 Ben Khan's 'Youth' came 6th but later turned out that it would have DNQed if the semi-finals had gone ahead as planned - I'm sure there must be other examples of songs that just missed out but would have smashed if they had made it in, not a huge leap to imagine that could include potential winners in especially close contests). Bre, would you mind posting your scoreboard too since yours has the artists and song titles? I can hardly remember who sent what (That aside, thank you John for hosting!) 1 365 N DNTN // Doss - Puppy 2 350 Hendinia // Ulrikke - Falling Apart 3 293 Summericia // Xenomania pts. Arcodesia deserved a lot better though at least they managed a few +18s from the dance bloc, and Cumulonimbia bottom 5 is a big shame. Not only did it get three 18s but it had three 15s as well, very happy to see so many big fans of it! Interestingly half of those who voted for the song at all gave it double figure points (Agreed on Cumulonimbia too, second on my commiserations list and deserved a bit better) |

Didn't we also have I Feel You (Wonder Girls) and Yalla (INNA) also coming top 10 after nearly DNQing in their respective contests?

True. There was (an admittedly ancient) BJSC adage back in the day that the ‘wrong semi effect’ was a bit overhyped and that songs strong enough to win the entire thing should have enough widespread appeal to make it through the semi regardless of who’s in it. But I really don’t believe that rings true anymore, especially as quite often we distinctly have one more pop semi and one more alt/indie/dance semi. They very rarely seem completely balanced, and an indie song being lumped into a pop semi doesn’t always end well, and vice versa. Of course on the flip side are the songs who end up with basically all of their supporters in their semi, and then tank in the final when either no additional support comes their way from the opposite semi, or their original semi voters desert them when more songs are added into the mix. A wide appealing song is of course the most important thing but there is certainly a large element of luck to the semi draws, especially on contests like this one with a much larger number of entrants. |

Y'all doing me dirrty in the final.. I see.. I see...
A shame as I am obsessed with it right now. But at least I made the final! Yay. My 100th anniv entry next month, not expecting to qualify but hoping some people find the beauty in the song Congrats to Chris! Wasn't my thing, but that was a huge comeback! Great to see Hendinia, Summericia and FARC do so well |

This is the first time my 18 has won since 'Ellipsis', too lazy to look up exactly how many times it's happened in total but I think it's only 5 or 6 times - I don't know if I'd have pinned Doss as a winner contender if not for other people hyping it but I'm thrilled that the hype turned out to be warranted, really feels like stepping back in a time machine to the good old days of BJSC hipster smoothie domination (and not only because it's N DNTN although partially because of that as well x). As I hinted at already Hendinia and Summericia were both v much not my thing (Hendinia grew on me a little bit on my final listenthrough and ended up not being in my bottom 3, Summericia... is still a hard pass for me sorry!) but congrats to the both for also living up to the hype, pat on the back to those who did predictions this month xx
Great to see Aeroche in the top 5 + Dobago and Elëdan both in the top 10! Also Zanmatony getting another new peak at this rate they'll get their first win in 8 contests' time this one only just missed out on my votes so also happy to see it! Would have loved to see Kathaldazia finally getting a top 10 again as well (so close!) but at least it's stll their biggest hit since their comeback ~ also a decent enough result for Klum Rep if lower than I had hoped, and a few more of my votes sneaking into the top 20 in the form of Rolloland, Jadakissnia and Singerpurear (especially surprised by the latter as I didn't expect that one to even qualify!) The big disappointment here is Cumulonimbia, I guess I shouldn't be surprised given its hype vacuum but I'd have been severely let down if I'd sent it and only come 39th :'( deserved soooo much better than that. As it were, my entry has indeed slightly beaten the entry that I previously had as a potential for a second month in a row, so my apologies to Doctor Blind as well as to LewisGT last month Shame that I mostly hit a drought in the second half after being a top 20 contender early on but at the end of the day I had absolutely no expectations here so I'll take 33rd, just glad to finally have the song out there after it being constrained to the potentials list purgatory for half a decade, and that it at least appealed enough to make the final and pick up a few medals (thanks again 152chris, Harve and Rollo my faves <3) - although I see it was a pretty close shave in the semi-final eek! I'll have to actually bother to find something new for the next contest so hopefully I haven't got too rusty at potential searching Thanks for the great hosting once again John, I'm sure it shan't be the last time x |

Oh my at that rock solid win for N DNTN - for once here my hype was not a curse, woop woop.
And yes, that absolutely does now mean that 152wild must now both stay!! Thanks to everyone who sent some points our way. Nevermind BABii, I still love ya. |

So happy with the amount of high points, including 18s from Niceland, Suedonia and Summercia and 15s from Beaverdonia and Lotunia, 12s from Skall and Seyetana. 12 from St. Burbia in semis and still 10 in the final, I feel like it's rare for me to get points from Burbia!
Happy to make top 30 too, absolutely DEFIED odds getting to the final on 2/8 Q predictions and being mostly near the very bottom of final predictions. Thanks so much for all the votes. Great winner, I gave 5 points- very solid track. Huge congrats to Chris on the win! And thanks again to John for hosting, very nicely done. Aw shame to not make the Mulgracian votes after some hype! Although there are quite a lot of commiserations there so I guess a case of lots of hype but not enough spaces. I thought the same.

Good winner and top 2, well done Chris for a good comeback win, I definitely liked it enough to give it a few points, and while Hendinia was good that's quite an okay ordering. Very great reading as always, great stuff from John. thank you! x
there were mentions of me in this thread yay (even if most were digs I can take digs). Great to see Dobago in the top 10, Quintessa and Aelandor very underrated for providing some really enjoyable different sides to the final though, though I did notice the latter getting a rather nice amount of high points from some people. |

Thanks!
Omg at the justice for Xenomania/Paige Cavell! I'm amazed at 'Red Is The Way' giving them not only their rightful top 10 (which they deserved last time) but top 3! Really happy that 'Don't Falter' made the top 10 too for Zanmatony, I wasn't sure that would get such wide appeal And yesss at Kingdom of Horanius finishing in the top half, WD Maurice *.* Disappointed that Numayania, Cor Lupus and TARO Bellamia finished so low |

Im a Bit wine drunk but omg you guys thank youuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!
First top 10 in three years since Powder also came 8th in CIII (I checked because while I’m half cut I’m still lowkey pathetic enough to check) Buzzin. Similar placing to Dagny (she was 7th but should have won the absolute queen) and I had the like same „omg I have to send this“ feeling about the song and the form was submitted before the song had finished its first play. When you know you know Congrats N DNTN! It was a fairly decent track |
