They're back again and yep it's a cover of the Charli XCX & Troye Sivan track. Probably mega cringe but a clip can be heard in the last minute of this video they put up earlier

The song is trash in a good way, but the references in the video... god. It really shouldn't have been that hard to find things that are related to 1999.
(Nokia's 3310 came out in the end of 2000, Nirvana's Nevermind came out in '91 (!) Madonna's Bedtime Stories in '94, then TLC, Janet Jackson, Björk... all of them years before '99. |

Personally I'd FAR prefer going back to 1991 myself, but regretably this is not possible without defying all known laws of physics to reverse entropy, or by driving to Lincolnshire.  *well not the dinosaurs nor any sense of irony about the 'curtains haircut' obvs. Incidentally I'll bet Aphex Twin is THRILLED to appear in a Vengaboys music video. |

I do love the video/this actually existing in 2021, although hearing it without that, it's kinda just an inferior cover oops (although weirdly, it does fit better with the Vengaboys lyrically if just because Charli singing it was always a little weird given she would've been seven then!)
