I know, I know - it’s literally been a couple of days since Chromatica was released and that should be centre of Gaga discussion right now, and we’re likely not getting LG7 till 2023 at the earliest
However, ever since it was announced LG6 was Gaga going back to her dance pop routes I’ve been curious where she would take her career after this.
After the success of Shallow and ASIB I don’t think any of us expected Gaga to put out her most dance heavy pop album to date, but it seems that’s it’s going to be her most successful era in a long time, definitely more successful than Joanne
Will she take the success of Chromatica into account with her next album and follow suit or will she do what she’s usually done and follow the artistic direction she feels is right for her regardless of success

I feel like Gaga always evolves album to album and never really takes a step back, so I can’t see LG7 being another fun dance pop album, but I don’t see her going back in the Joanne direction at all. Maybe another darker pop album?

So, what kinda direction do you think Gaga may take for her next project?

Gaga's albums always seem to represent where she is in her life at that moment, so I really couldn't hazard a guess as to what the direction of her next album would be.

I want her to pull a CJP and go full 80’s-Pop/Disco on us. I am beyond HERE for a Bowie-inspired era

She will transform again i'm sure.

It could either be dark-pop again, much like The Fame Monster was to the fun we had in the fame. Or something completely different.

I'd quite like her to explore a more R&B-pop sound, like The Cure~

It really honestly just depends on where life takes her.

I think following this era she’s in a good position of going into any direction really.

I think it might be slightly more experimental but we will just wait and see. It’s exciting to imagine what the next sound / era will be like though but it just depends on who she works with / what she’s ready to say at that time.

I’d quite like something slightly more “rock” like in sound but I think the next era could be more in line of like 60s / 70s styled music personally like a real disco inspired throwback.

No idea laugh.gif

But it'd be cool to look back on this thread when LG7 is released in the future tongue.gif

I wonder if she'll be pregnant or married before her next record, this will heavily influence one of her upcoming albums at some point. If it isn't her next album, it'll be the one after.

I still want the R&B vibes of The Cure to be explored more, but I feel like she's going to go rock at some point too (Gaga.png)

If she did rock, it'd most likely be a collaboration album. Imagine her fronting Iron Maiden or Metallica. cheeseblock.png

Yeah for her next album I want a compilation of several classic ballads like ARUTW (Adele will have to share her moms and aunts laugh.gif).

The only collab album I'd like her to do would be one with Bruno Mars.

Bruno Mars, haven't really thought of that. Not sure if they fit together.

I never really thought of 'The Cure' as R&B, more apeing the tropical pop sound that was prevalent in 2016/2017.

I think she could delve into electro-swing.

They really fit together and I love Bruno's songs.

I don't think she'll do anything Fortnight related this long after Chromatica...

The same account is saying that LG7 will be "mature" and "rock". Come to Mama comes to life again Gaga.png

Mature rock.. what sort of sound is that - what comparisons are there thinking.gif? I did predict a rockier sound tbh so I can believe that!

That account tearsmile.gif

I'd say we'll get LG7 around 2023/24 time.
