Firstly, we're thrilled to be a part of the final again with a very summery offering from Paola & Chiara! Here's hoping for a decent finish tonight.

Now, time for our own points:

18 Persephonia SadSvit - Nebo
Our gold medal this month goes to close allies Persephonia! They overcame negativity from the Danæviian predictors to secure a final slot and we're so glad this was the case. We're pretty stunned that the delivery from their vocalist, born in 2004, is so scarily mature. But this is a great thing as they have the perfect voice for dark post-punk. We're always here for a bit of that sound - even in the summer months. The Ukranian language helps this to stand out even further. Bonus points for not one but two feline appearances in the video too.

15 Aeroche Abroad - Coffee
Next up we have reliable hit-makers Aeroche clinching a silver medal! This was up my street from the word go but grew even further upon second listen - advancing from third favourite in the opposite semi to second favourite across both of them. I am a sucker for that dreamy RÜFÜS-esque sound and this emulates that style to perfection. We hope this cosy electronic entry can challenge for the win tonight.

13 Séyetana Goat Girl - Sad Cowboy
Taking home bronze from the Jadakissnian people are Séyetana with this blinder of an entry <3 the title intrigued me and it seems that the sadness may be tied to losing a grip on reality, which makes for a really haunting listen - those vocals execute this depth just wonderfully. The genre-blending production is an audio feast too - especially when topped off with an unexpected outro that features pleasing dark, electronic influences. I hope this will be a dark horse!
