So is this OCC confirming Mondays update is only Friday and Saturdays sales ?

Don't think so, cos at one point they do talk about 3 days of data
but in another part of the article they mention 92 hours =4 days

I think physicals is 4 days and maybe Amazon too but Spotify, Apple, YT is 3 days cos they lag x 1 day

Reread the article it says 3 days but 96 hours, 96 hours is 4 days laugh.gif

Yeah, I guess 4 days of sales but 3 of streaming. I think she’ll finish close but finish at 257K.

Wonder if Taylor's album will have the highest weekly physical sales since 2017 - currently these belong not to Adele, but to ABBA:

ABBA - Voyage – 182,567 physicals (of 203,909 total)
Adele - 30 – 176,421 physicals (of 261,856 total)

One of the reasons Adele's total was so much higher was her downloads of 41,246, almost as much as her streaming equivalent sales of 44,190. Taylor's streaming will be higher this week but her downloads won't be nearly as high, so if she gets close to 260k you'd think her physical sales would have a chance of beating ABBA's.

Surely most of her physical sales was at the weekend when people are not working?

From the OCC.
Today's sales flash (April 23), shows The Tortured Poets Department to have shifted in excess of 220,000 units in the UK in just three days. Comparatively, Midnights managed a seven-day total of 204,000 on its release in 2022.

In its first week on sale, Ed's 2017 release ÷ logged 670,000 UK chart units; making the record the third fastest-seller in Official Chart history behind Adele's 25 (800,000) and Oasis's Be Here Now (696,000).

Exactly what I was gonna say! CDs have become so worthless that my local second-hand record shop is selling numbered Now albums at 3 for £1!! ohmy.gif (so naturally I've been adding to my collection)

A big gap building up now on Spotify between Sabrina/Hozier in 2/3 place and the rest of Taylor’s tracks, whereas Taylor staying strong on Apple. It will be an interesting battle to see if Taylor can get the top 3 places this week.

Surely its obvious she isn't going to get the top 3 places, especially going by Monday's update - Hozier less than 2k behind 3rd place.
