It's a peculiarly British thing. It's called the 'Tall Poppy Syndrome'.

So Rudebox had shipped/sold at least 2.8M at the end of 2006 and was'nt even released in the US. That's nearly 3M in a little over 2 months. Pretty amazing for an album that got no promotion and his totally different from his usual material
Nearly 3M sold now |

Brilliant news, its just a shame that the UK press jumped on the Sun bandwagon and lambasted it.

Brilliant news, its just a shame that the UK press jumped on the Sun bandwagon and lambasted it. I know But in fairness the Sun has been very kind to Rob recently, it been the 3AM bitches from the Mirror who are constatly on the attack. 4 out of 7 days last week they slagged him off. |

The funny thing is according to Media Traffic it sold 38k & TT were not on the list as they were outside the top 40 - so it still seems to be selling in Europe even if it is in small amounts.
Maybe I am not reading those figures correctly. |

He's got an indoor football pitch to build. I think that's his priority at the moment.
