Still listening to this fairly regularly; in particular "Battle Symphony" at the moment is high up in my 'current' playlist. It's so different from their classic material but I'd put it up there in my top 3 Linkin Park albums. I've also been listening to Linkin Park regularly since the awful news about Chester.

It is such a good album. I love how experimental the band were with all their releases. My top three albums are A Thousand Suns, The Hunting Party and Minutes To Midnight but this is certainly a good album, and experimental in style for them.
Good Goodbye is incredible, I never thought I would Stormzy working with Linkin Park. I love One More Light, Heavy, Nobody Can Save Me, Invisible and Battle Symphony. You can really see where Chester's head was at with some of these lyrics though |

How can you rank anything above "Hybrid Theory"? I mean, they've followed up with some great albums ("Meteora" in particular) but HT is a modern classic! You'll struggle to find a Linkin Park fan who disagrees (with some placing "Meteora" only above it).

A Thousand Suns was the first album I had of theirs and I liked it cos it was experimental and had a lot of different styles. I didn't really know their albums back then (early noughties), I just knew their big hits like Numb/Encore (which was my jam when it came out). I prefer The Hunting Party out of their heavier albums. |

One year has passed since Chester has gone.
I can't imagine new LP music without Chester and only hearing Mike (he has solo music lately so hmm...). |

I wonder if we'll get any previously unfinished music released in the future. I can definitely see Chester's vocals being sampled in the long run, in rap music as well as dance music. The Jay-Z collaboration worked so well.

Frontman of US band Orgy has said that Linkin Park are apparently returning with a female lead singer at some point, it'll be interesting to hear whether that's true or not...

If Shinoda and the rest of the gang want to do a project with somebody else stepping in as singer on new music they should be all means do it. They absolutely shouldn't be using the Linkin Park brand for it. I'd say that if it were a male singer. |

I wouldn't blame them really though, as it's their decision at the end of the day about what they're comfortable with. They've said for years that Linkin Park will return when the "time is right" or whatever, so I expect it'll happen at some point even if not anytime soon. |

The LP reforming with a female singer rumour seems to be picking up more steam now. |

I'm not sure what to think about them doing anything without Chester. Of course, it will never the same however you put it (but that's not the point).
I guess I'm more concerned about how many others will react/respond to their (currently unknown) touring vocalist, if ever that's confirmed. This post has been edited by All★bySmashMouth: 1st May 2024, 02:09 PM |

The fans generally seemed pretty onboard with the idea of Amy Lee, before she denied it.
