This feels like the weaker semi final to me (although overall I think the quality of songs is poorer this year). I am hoping the following qualify from this semi
2. Serbia: Teya Dora - Ramonda 4. Ireland: Bambie Thug - Doomsday Blue 6. Poland: Luna - The Tower 12. Azerbaijan: Fahree feat. Ilkin Dovlatov - Özünlə apar I can't believe Australia went from a rumoured Dami Im return to the song they actually chose. It did grow on me a bit, but will be a massive shock if they qualify |

I put a bet on last week that Ireland will win semi final 1, it's so strange ,(in a good way) to see home Hype behind Ireland as the last time there was hype was Jedwards lipstick back in 2011.

Not really feeling this year contest sadly - partly because of the Gaza conflict and politics, but also because the quality isn't there.
Hope Ireland, Croatia, Ukraine, Finland and Portugal qualify today. Especially Portugal bringing the ballad quality this contest needs so badly. |

Inspired by the live reaction big sheets on other Eurovision fandoms, I've created a big sheet on Google Sheets for y'all to react!
Link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dcj...dit?usp=sharing To react, rate each countries' performance out of 10. You can put your name at the top row and start giving your scores on an empty column |

Just hoping for Ireland/Ukraine/Croatia/Lithuania to qualify! Which feels pretty guaranteed tbh, not too fussed on the rest.

Obviously my Eurovision season has been dominated by one song really, here for Ireland and Bambie Thug tonight and I am so hyped that they seem to be getting the reaction I felt they should when I first heard 'Doomsday Blue'; haven't seen the full performance yet but what I've heard about it sounds phenomenal.
as long as the rest of the bunch are broadly what's predicted to qualify I'll be good. |

Didn’t expect Ireland to be the dark horse to emerge from rehearsals, but I’m here for it! This is definitely the weaker semi, my main favourites (Croatia and Ireland) are safe qualifiers, hopefully Lithuania and Slovenia make it too, I feel the former will but not the latter but we’ll see.

Saw the jury show here in Malmo last night and Doomsday Blue is INCREDIBLE. I can't even @ the way I came to Malmo with this like 24th for me, and then last night, I nearly lost my voice for gasping and screaming. Every inch of the staging has been thought through with such precision, everything hits, slight tweaks to the live version make the ending feel so impactful. I- WE-
I also felt Croatia as a winner of the whole thing for the first time, for sure, he's come a long way since the national final in terms of stage presence. |

Everyone seems to be saying the same about the Irish performance so im so excited for it, i just watched a clip on RTE news where they spoke with Bambie and they said they are confident in the performance but are concentrating on tonights performance and nothing beyond that when they were asked about how well they will do at the final itself. |
