Poor brave Song 4 Mutya, not even 60k when it was tipped to be a big No.1 for a little while
Such an incredible track, I just don't get why it underperformed. |

It must be closer to 100k by now. It's release was just such a shit show it seems to have been drip fed then followed up way too late with an official release and a now iconically shite video.
It deserved so much more and should have done so much better. I think if this had been a pre-album single in like March 2007 this would have pure smashed it |

The video was such a momentum killer when you consider what could have been.

It was like they had less budget than Jessica Mauboy usually gets!!! It was messy, cheap and didn't fit with the song at all. I'm not surprised the video bombed and then sank the song with it.

It's odd that there's actually TWO videos for Song 4 Mutya, yet they were both shit. Couldn't they have just invested in one good video?
Also, if Girls is Silver, then it's sold 200k+... This post has been edited by tommie: 20th August 2017, 09:01 PM |

From the OCC today:
QUOTE There may have been rumours of tension in the band, but Round Round presented the trio as carefree and out for a good time. It was a recipe for success: Round Round was the second of six Number 1s for the band, in various guises, and has sold over 273,000 copies. Its parent album Angels With Dirty Faces is the band's bestselling album, with 924,500 sales.

That's almost 20k in the past 8 years. Should give us a clue on how their drip sales work.

Hey everyone. Just wanted to say how enjoyable it is to see some activity in this sales thread (so much so, I had to register!)
Today the OCC have given an update for About You Now's UK sales: QUOTE To date, the song has notched up 626,000 combined sales, split between 470,000 downloads and 7.9 million streams. And it seems plenty of you are still enjoying it - last week it was downloaded 91 times in the UK and played 172,215 times on streaming services. Push The Button has been hanging around the UK (#174 atm) and Ireland iTunes Charts this week, too. It's been reduced to 59p - seems to be a push towards that platinum certification! It's also on a throwback playlist on Spotify. Finally... a little solo update. Amelle's Never Leave You is certified silver, so it's on at least 200k, whilst ChartMasters have Mutya's This Is Not Real Love at 100k. No problem at all! Thanks for having me.
Push The Button is up to #151 on UK iTunes today, and #55 in Ireland (Freak also made a brief appearance last night). Too Lost In You is currently at #45 on Gambia's Apple Music. Nothing significant, but nice to see some chart entries going on. This post has been edited by rowork: 6th October 2017, 11:06 AM |

Seems the UK 59p sale for Push The Button has been removed. Pity - it was doing quite nicely on iTunes, and even made an appearance on Spotify 200 last week. Would be interesting to see its recent sales.
Still hanging around Irish iTunes - +17 at #131 atm! |

Sales updated Thanks rowork for the new info!
About You Now has shifted 26k since it's last update at the end of April this year. That's pretty decent for a song that old! (no doubt because of streaming) I've also replaced the album images for the first 4 eras as they've been killed off my photobucket being greedy bast*rds. |
