Lyrically and thematically I want more of what we had in The Cure - mental and physical state is in pain but through music and dancing you can find strength. A Dance in the Dark, if you will, but addressing her physical condition as opposed to loneliness/relationships.
Channel the pain she's been through but in a way that isn't as harsh and abrasive as the anger she felt during ARTPOP. |

From a Music Week interview with Diane Warren:
QUOTE “I’m not against co-writing with an artist. I’ll do it. I did some songs with Adele that supposedly she still loves, and that was fun because we actually sat in a room and wrote together. I wrote something with Lady Gaga that’s coming this year. So, every now and then, I’ll write with somebody. But I won’t get in those rooms. I won’t go to a writing camp and sit with five people on a track.”

That's probably for A Star Is Born, according to Gaga Daily.

Story on Paper Magazine "Trans pop star and producer extraordinaire SOPHIE has worked with legends like Madonna, as well as young artists like Charli XCX and Vince Staples. Rumors have been circulating that her next big project — since her debut album Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides and music video "It's Okay to Cry" — would be a collab with Lady Gaga. Today, she confirms that news. Instagram account @ladygaganewz posted a video of an encounter with SOPHIE, where they ask — behind gates — if she is indeed working with Lady Gaga on her upcoming album. The Scottish singer simply replies, "Yes." "I mean, whatever. I work on a lot of different things. If it comes out, that's cool. But you just never know," she continued. "But yeah, she's a cool person."" |
