for those that were curious i had confirmed David Guetta 'Baby When The Light' and tried to confirm Eva Cassidy 'Over The Rainbow' but at the end of it i wasn't rly happy submitting anything i came across

i would've sent Cassius 'The Sound Of Violence (Narcotic Thrust Remix)' if we were allowed rmxs doe

Some incredible songs in here, Lights always feels like it was a top ten but I guess in my mind it always feels a lot bigger than it was because Debenhams used to hammer it all the time (and wasn't it quite big in the US, or did I dream that?).

Annie and The Pipettes <3 So much love reserved for many more too and a handful I don't recognise that I'll look forward to hearing.

Of Corrs I was never going to send anybody else though...

Cameron, I LOVE that song, excellent choice. And MCR finally in a BJSC too biggrin.gif I guess even if this does involve some well-known names it'll be fun at least (and hopefully not TOO obvious in the way it pans out because there are a few songs that are clearly at an instant advantage).

Two versions of Over The Rainbow confirmed in the same contest! ohmy.gif Always funny how they both charted similarly, yet are both very well known.

I know a fair few here but a decent amount that I don't as well. JUSTICE OMG wub.gif wub.gif That's one of my faves but never knew/remembered it was eligible for this, I may have tried to send it myself otherwise! (Great choices from Taahino and Cradannet as well <3)

I'm pleased with the inspiration of some of these entries actually, of course we have the supercheap (Ellie Goulding, MIA, Jessie Ware etc) but also some songs most people probably haven't heard of, and for a chart themed spinoff I'd say the cheapness isn't too high overall.

I'm thrilled I got D.A.N.C.E., I confirmed late and thought it would've been one of the first ones confirmed. One of my absolute favourites of the last decade.

Very nice entries all around, Ellie Goulding and Jessie Ware are obvious shoe-ins for the Top 5 but I can see Annie dark-horsing this.

It was absolutely massive in the USA! Top 5 in the end of year chart IIRC (and peaked at #2 on the Hot 100), still by far her biggest hit over there. I think it has sort of become well-known here as well as a result even though it never became a hit itself.

Excellent debut entry from Cradannet <3

I so nearly sent Move Along, so I'm happy to see someone else confirmed it!! heart.gif

Great to see Ladytron here - I was toying with entering “Destroy Everything You Touch” (which charted at 42).

Sad that nobody entered the theme tune to Postman Pat or “Driving In My Car” by Maureen Rees. sad.gif

I want to say that reason is Ellie Goulding but people love her for some absolutely unknown to me irrational reason. sad.gif
