I don't think so. As a military expert was saying on Newsnight, yes it would make him look good and tough to be a military leader for the 2020 election but it would also be difficult to attack Iran. Would be far different to Iraq or Kuwait and many would die on both sides. His advisors are apparently split with some in the Pentagon saying to go for it and others saying it's too risky and too many body bags would be coming home. Iran would be no pushover either and a much tougher nut to crack and other countries would probably be drawn in.

It would depend if there was a clear & unmistakable attack on the US/West though - not to respond in *those* circumstances would look weak, and encourage further attacks... |

Trumps foreign agenda seems completely different to his domestic one - it's been much less militant strangely enough than his domestic one. Like he's doing things people would t expect e.g. In North Korea. I would t rule anything out with that man though!

That bloated orange turd kept shouting rhat Obama would declare war on Iran to get re elected He only said it as the porcine senile dotard would have done that! Fortunately Captain Bonespurs changes his mind on a whim and is a coward. He wouldn't dare. He'll try smaller things for the election. Silver linings and all that!

Good thing there is about zero chance of an attack on the West from Iran - that's more the style of their enemies over in the Wahabist Kingdom. This is entirely a Saudi-Iran spat fought through proxy and America's only possibly getting involved because of, as ever, the West's sketchy ties to the Saudis. I reckon there's a small chance this latest one will escalate, but only in the sense that Iran will be defending its sphere of influence. I also cannot see a war fought to defend the Saudi honour being popular. |
