So, we now have all 37 songs for our Eurovision 2024, so now discussion naturally turns to the running order the songs will be performed in. Last year, it was revealed on 22nd March which means we're likely to find out the running order very soon.
Here are the Semi splits: Semi 1: First Half Croatia: Baby Lasagna - Rim Tim Tagi Dim Cyprus: Silia Kapsis - Liar Ireland: Bambie Thug - Doomsday Blue Lithuania: Silvester Belt - Luktelk Poland: Luna - The Tower Serbia: Teya Dora - Ramonda Ukraine: alyona alyona & Jerry Heil - Teresa & Maria Second Half Australia: Electric Fields - One Milkali (One Blood) Azerbaijan: Fahree feat. Ilkin Dovlatov - Özünlə apar Finland: Windows95man - No Rules! Iceland: Hera Björk - Scared of Heights Luxembourg: Tali - Fighter Moldova: Natalia Barbu - In the Middle Portugal: Iolanda - Grito Slovenia: Raiven - Veronika Semi 2: First Half: Albania: Besa - Titan Armenia: Ladaniva - Jako Austria: Kaleen - We Will Rave Czechia: Aiko - Pedestal Denmark: Saba - Sand Greece: Marina Satti - Zari Malta: Sarah Bonnici - Loop Switzerland: Nemo - The Code Second Half: Belgium: Mustii - Before the Party's Over Estonia: 5miinust and Puuluup - (Nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi Georgia: Nutsa Buzaladze - Firefighter Israel: Eden Golan - Hurricane Latvia: Dons - Hollow Netherlands: Joost Klein - Europapa Norway: Gĺte - Ulveham San Marino: Megara - 11:11 Make your predictions NOW / tell me how you'd order these semis? |

Semi 1:
01 Cyprus: Silia Kapsis - Liar 02 Ireland: Bambie Thug - Doomsday Blue 03 Ukraine: alyona alyona & Jerry Heil - Teresa & Maria 04 Lithuania: Silvester Belt - Luktelk 05 Poland: Luna - The Tower 06 Serbia: Teya Dora - Ramonda 07 Croatia: Baby Lasagna - Rim Tim Tagi Dim 08 Australia: Electric Fields - One Milkali (One Blood) 09 Iceland: Hera Björk - Scared of Heights 10 Portugal: Iolanda - Grito 11 Finland: Windows95man - No Rules! 12 Moldova: Natalia Barbu - In the Middle 13 Slovenia: Raiven - Veronika 14 Azerbaijan: Fahree feat. Ilkin Dovlatov - Özünlə apar 15 Luxembourg: Tali - Fighter Finland feels like the natural closer here but I don't think they'll be awarded that treatment 2 years on the bounce. So I've stuck them in the 'Tattoo' slot, as they have a prop which may well take the longest to set up, from the staging we've seen so far. I've given the closing slot to Luxembourg instead, one of the only other uptempos and I think they'll want to throw them every possible chance of getting out of the semi so they stick around. Cyprus feels like the natural "party starter without being too abrasive" opener. Picking the "death slot" was hard, but I've noticed in the last few years, they haven't handed it to a ballad in Semi 1, presumably wanting people to stick around without being switched off too quickly. Ireland feels disposable whilst still being a talking point, so I think that feels more fitting. Semi 2: 01 Austria: Kaleen - We Will Rave 02 Czechia: Aiko - Pedestal 03 Denmark: Saba - Sand 04 Armenia: Ladaniva - Jako 05 Albania: Besa - Titan 06 Greece: Marina Satti - Zari 07 Malta: Sarah Bonnici - Loop 08 Switzerland: Nemo - The Code 09 Israel: Eden Golan - Hurricane 10 Estonia: 5miinust and Puuluup - (Nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi 11 San Marino: Megara - 11:11 12 Latvia: Dons - Hollow 13 Georgia: Nutsa Buzaladze - Firefighter 14 Norway: Gĺte - Ulveham 15 Netherlands: Joost Klein - Europapa 16 Belgium: Mustii - Before the Party's Over This felt like a harder semi to predict, but We Will Rave feels like a Queen Of Kings type opener. The producers quite like a story being told in running order and I think this kicks off the semi with a statement of "we will party". A lot of uptempos to try and pace out here which isn't easy. I've boxed Israel on as soon as possible to get that... over, which I'd imagine producers will want to do (and after a break, should they wish to boycott). San Marino in 11th, because, of course. And then, again, went for a message of a closer - we start with a rave and we end with... the party's over. Right after one of the most hyped party songs of the year. |

As in, they wouldn’t be fussed if the song didn’t make it, or less so than Luktelk or Rim Tim Tagi Dim which fill that “keeping the energy” brief that I mentioned.

The second semi final is the stronger one (fewer average songs) but we're going to lose more great songs from semi 1 because there's so many of them in the first half.

I just hope Ireland aren't 2nd on.
I wish Sweden were on 2nd last year as it was an inevitable win and by going on 2nd would take away the 2nd position dread! |

I don't get the whole drawing thing... What's the point in putting some first and second half, and then half of them wherever they want? Might as well have them all wherever they choose...

If it were up to me then I'd run them like this (this might also be the "do everything to prevent an Israel win short of giving them the death slot" order)
01 Sweden 02 Latvia 03 Luxembourg 04 Germany 05 Greece 06 Israel 07 Lithuania 08 Spain 09 Estonia 10 Serbia 11 United Kingdom 12 Armenia 13 Ireland 14 Finland 15 Slovenia 16 Cyprus 17 Switzerland 18 Georgia 19 Portugal 20 Italy 21 Norway 22 Netherlands 23 Ukraine 24 Croatia 25 France 26 Austria |

Running order doesn't matter at all in Israel's case. People who vote for doesn't probably even watch the contest.
