Seeing as we don't currently have one and we need to create more of a Rihanna fan community here I think (Me and Tim are in the process of re-vamping this forum)
How are we all?! I feel like Rihanna currently feels now - hungover. This post has been edited by Andrew.: 21st August 2017, 02:33 PM |

I'm v v happy to see some activity in here! It's been so quiet of late
I was thinking of doing a 'music video rate', before I saw that you're currently doing a single rate! Maybe I'll do it after? Just a thought of slightly different rate, plus she's had some fabulous (and fabulously shit) videos. |

Yeah a music video rate after would be fine! I just did a rate that I knew everyone would participate in to get activity up in here.

I would definitely be up for a music video rate at some point in the future. She's had some truly excellent videos in her career and I'd love an excuse to revisit them all.

QUOTE Rihanna has chosen Drake to be her first serious boyfriend since her last relationship with ex Chris Brown came to a sudden and tragic halt five years ago. Older and wiser, Rihanna decided to take a "more mature" approach in advancing her relationship with Drake, and he agreed. The now exclusive couple dated briefly in 2010 and has casually hooked up since then. RiRi and Drake won’t be taking any other big steps in their relationship anytime soon though. “They’re not about to run and go get married. It’s not like that. They’re playing it safely and responsibly,” the source said. http://www.entertainmentwise.com/news/1438...ir-Relationship It's official guys! A new power couple has emerged! |

Hii.
Not sure where else to post this, but one of my favourite under-the-radar artists has included a cover of 'Diamonds' on his latest EP. The cover and HE in general are just perfection, so sexy and he really does it justice. Getting a very good response too so thought i'd share so the Rih fans can listen too~ You can stream it here as well as the rest of the EP. |

Haha that emoticon won me over.
I recognise the EP artwork, I think I must've seen it on a blog or something somewhere..anyway, I like it but I'm not blown away on first listen. I'll give the rest of the EP a listen though because I trust your taste! |

That's surprisingly good! I say surprisingly because while I did like Hustler to an extent it's not really my sort of thing, but this cover is a very nice chilled out version of Diamonds. Good stuff!

University of Austin to give Beyoncé and Rihanna courses
QUOTE Beyonce Feminism, Rihanna Womanism
Students in this class will learn that there is far more than catchy melodies to Beyoncé’s and Rihanna’s music. They will not be simply listening to Beyoncé and Rihanna for fun or even comparing the roles of Beyoncé and Rihanna in popular culture, rather, students will be studying how the lyrics, music videos, and actions of these women express various aspects of black feminism such as violence, economic opportunity, sexuality, standards of beauty, and creative self-expression. The instructor hopes for students to understand the role black feminism plays in popular culture as well as everyday life. |

Billboard: The 20 best videos of the decade so far
QUOTE 2. Rihanna feat. Calvin Harris, "We Found Love" Once we got past the initial chatter of "Whoa, that guy looks a LOT like Chris Brown," we collectively realized that Rihanna's "We Found Love" was the stark, piercingly dramatic kaleidoscope we never knew such a fun song needed. A broken relationship is wholly captured and fully felt, with kinetic drug footage more cinematically effective than all of Requiem For a Dream. We Found Love is being held off the #1 spot by Lady GaGa's Telephone. Other videos in the top 5 are Drake's HYFR at #3, Miley's Wrecking Ball at #4 and Iggy Azalea's Fancy at #5 ICON ha impact |

Love the ''young boy.. tryna get the wheels in motion'' delivery. Sounds like a potentially great track. |
