Sunday Chart Predictions
Predicting the 13/07 to 19/07 chart

1000 forms of dope
Aiming to receive his 3rd number one (10th when including #1s as a featured artist and as part of Black Eyed Peas) is will.i.am with his new single 'It's My Birthday', featuring American singer Cody Wise. However, with its streams naturally increasing, last week's number one 'Problem' by Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea may still prove a threat. Also looking to enter the Top 10 is 'Right Here' by Jess Glynne, who has already made a name for herself following her features on the #1s 'Rather Be' and 'My Love', and 'Somebody to You' by The Vamps, following the release of the digital EP and the version featuring Demi Lovato. Elsewhere in the Top 40 should see new entries from MKTO with 'Classic' and Matrix & Futurebound with 'Don't Look Back'.

Ed Sheeran should be safe for a third week at number one with x this week, but may be joined in the Top 10 by new albums 1000 Forms of Fear by Sia and Futurology by Manic Street Preachers. New entries elsewhere may include Milky Chance, Lewis Watson, Example, Nicola Benedetti and Bright Light Bright Light.

I should imagine Ed Sheeran will get a third week at #1, his closest competition seem to be the Manics this week.

From Facebook. Guessing it's either in the top 10 or close to the top 10 in the midweeks today.

I imagine sales are low this week (other than Ed) if the Manics are no. 2. I was hoping Sia would get the no 2 position.

Manic Street Preachers must be outselling Sia then as there's no way she's #1 ahead of Ed? I knew they'd be higher than they were on iTunes but very surprised at them doing *this* well. I suppose I underestimate their core fanbase. Looks like it'll be safely another top 5 for them at least. (Sia may overtake midweek though especially if she's at #3).

Absolutely shocked at Example's album being as high as #3! ohmy.gif Well behind the top 2 though (Manics could quite easily hold onto #2 based on that gap, or failing that perhaps Dolly Parton could get there) so I expect he'll fall a bit by the end of the week but he should be on course for at least a top 10 again. Sia clearly not selling many physical copies if she's as low as #8.

I must stop underestimating boybands, 5SOS and The Vamps seem to somehow still own the art of shifting physicals (the EP for 'Somebody To You' hasn't even done particularly well).

Very empty singles chart update this week. Only 4 new entries and 2 songs ascending to a new peak, then the only other climb of any description is, perhaps inevitably, 'Happy' up 1 laugh.gif

(Sex Pistols' album is the 99p album of the week by the way - but it looks like 'Bad' might have remained 99p on Sunday as it's still comfortably top 40).

Worth noting that will.i.am has 0% contribution from streaming - so although people are buying, nobody is listening (yet). tongue.gif

I'd guess so far jess glynne seems to be the first big victim of streaming. Surely she would be 3rd on sales only

Surprised Sia is at 8, thought she would be higher to be honest.

Good to see Example top 3 and am surprised the Vamps are in front of Problem - but they'll probably drop back to 4/5 by the end of the week i'd imagine
