Albums still pick up only a handful of sales from streaming, it certainly wouldn't make a difference given how far ahead she's likely to be (providing she doesn't underperform).

I think likely she'll open with the same sort of sales as Sam Smith this week.

I think she will scrape between 30-66.

Wouldn't be surprised at 30k either.

Her last album was crap, only fans liked the trite sound, her behaviour has been Mean Gurls esque, and this new music, esp the lead single, is real bad.

Sam Smith will win.

No one will return after it.

That happens with bad albums. It is a relief for Katy that fewer bought Witness do she can come back with a cleaner album slate.

I loved 1989 and I'm not a fan of her at all!

I'm finding her new sound not my cup of tea at all but it seems to be much more for the fans.

How can peolple say 1989 is a bad album??? Bloody brilliant pop album and the new one sounds like it will be great too.

so far the 4 songs released have been very disappointed, there is no trace of the genious lyrics that were everywhere in Red and 1989, and the music is nothing extraordinary either, we all know how repetitive and lackustre Look was, only good thing weøve had musically is the bass in Ready

Think I missed that memo tongue.gif

I've enjoyed all the songs so far this era to some extent, although I do fear LWYMMD was the wrong choice of lead considering the fact it just reinforced the negative opinions people had formed of her. This is evidenced by its rapid tail-off in both the UK and the US. I do really like it though even if it's a step-down from the last couple of leads, and I'm extremely hyped for the album!

Second track on the Album, 'End Game', is reportedly a collaboration with Ed Sheeran and Future, could be the break-out hit she needs to propel the Album to sustained success?

If its good then the single could be massive and like you said could propel the album to sustained success.

WOW. Well I totally overestimated Sam!!
Happy to be totally wrong as Reputation is fantastic packed full of potential tracks! Hoping it becomes her biggest debut yet in the UK.
