As these are proper matches (rather than silly best-of-seven or so), I shall probably watch quite a lot of it.

Oh most definitely they are. Really looking forward to seeing this. I think to win it, it will be either be Neil Robertson, Judd Trump or Ronnie. But I'm going to take the 16/1 for John Higgins. Yes he's been out of form this season but he is worth a flutter at a price.

Bingham v Dott that will be a tough one for Ballrun. Higgins against Davis that won't be easy for me. I don’t think Lisowski will too happy to draw Carter, Carter a tough draw for anybody. Looking forward to seeing Trump v Un Nooh that looks a cracker. It’ll certainly be quick.

Neil Robertson was in scintillating form as he built a 9-0 first-session lead to turn Michael Georgiou's World Championship debut into a nightmare.

I think George Michael might be heading out. What a shame he didn’t get to play Robbie Williams.

Could have two records to his name, Michael. Least points scored in a.match at the Crucible and involved.in the second whitewash at the Crucible.

Shaun Murphy has become the second player to win 10-0 at the Crucible against Luo Honghao, Honghao has broken an unwanted record for the fewest points scored at the Crucible with 89 points which is 102 points less than the previous record which was 191 by Danny Fowler back in 1993 against Stephen Hendry in a 10-1 loss. Anyone want to guess who was the first player to do it?

Maguire gosh he had some luck to beat Tian Pengfei 10-9 with that fluke on the blue when he got the snooker when he was 9-7 down.

The first 10-0 at the Crucible was John Parrott against Eddie Charlton.

Ronnie O'Sullivan now 5-8 down against amateur James Cahill. I suspect Cahill would have preferred not to go off for the mid-session interval.

And O'Sullivan is out ohmy.gif A brilliant win for Cahill who never seemed to panic as he got near the finish line.

Probably the biggest shock in snooker history that is. Well played James Cahill, take a bow.

In regards to shocks at the World Championship, this must top Knowles beating Steve Davis 10-1 in 1982 and Bingham beating Hendry in 2000.

Former world champion Ken Doherty has accused Ronnie O'Sullivan of playing with disrespect during his opening-round defeat by amateur James Cahill.

Doherty, who won the title in 1997, also said the world number one did not look well during the 10-8 loss.

"He played very casually, it was almost with a lot of disrespect in a way," BBC pundit Doherty said about Monday's first session which Cahill led 5-4.

"He didn't want to be there, didn't look like he fancied the job."

Somehow Bingham beats Dott 10-9 after being 8-1 up and 9-4 up. Great comeback from Dott but to no avail. That will be gutting for him. Bingham will play.John Higgins in the next round.

Zhou Yuelong was 9-2 up against Mark Allen and now Allen has pulled it back to 9-7..... Could Mark do what Graeme nearly did last night?

Following on from Barry Hawkins completing a 10-1 win against Li Hang this is the first World Championship in Crucible history where 3 players have won 10-1 or better.

Shaun Murphy potted 14 reds and 14 blacks and missed the final red to the middle pocket for a 147.
