We're not the only one to get muddled by the chart this week as Music Week publishes the wrong chart in its magazine with all the discontinued records still in it!!! anyone else noticed it?

Damn OCC indeed.
If it sells - it should be included in the charts - It's not rocket science is it? |

I like this chart better, what is the point of removing singles that are selling?
Well done Music week! |

The thing I don't understand is that 'Gold Digger' has not been available for months. I live in Manchester - a big city with lots of enormous, well-stocked record shops. Even when that song re-entered the top 40 after Christmas, there was not a single copy. They had massive gaps in HMV.
Surely that song has been deleted if it's impossible to get. So why was it not disqualified? |

One word, Downloads! But that's the point. All songs that are selling well on downloads have been disqualified because a physical single is not available. 'Gold Digger' is not available in the two big cities I live in. So why has it not been disqualified along with Blunt and the Babes? |

I thought songs were removed if they were no longer avalaible on their labels catalogue to purchase - ie they had been deleted.

Maybe kayne west's record company has not told the occ that its not available. then again it might be still out as a 12 inch vinyl? i was quite surprised only 5 records were taken out. i thought kelly clarkson would have gone weeks ago as well |
