Why Don't We - Hooked [32-17-14-21-20-7-30-51-72-82-X] - Sales: 505,400 176. Clean Bandit, Marina, Luis Fonsi - Baby [9-9-15-20-35-50-75-55-…] - Sales: 503,800 177. Lady Gaga - Look What I Found [18-11-13-29-39-54-76-75-85-X-X-51…] - Sales: 502,500 178. Camila Cabello & Swae Lee - Real Friends [16-18-21-22-26-32-45-65-77-87-92-X] - Sales: 499,900 179. Iggy Azalea feat. Quavo - Savior [77-72-47-31-19-20-32-43-53-65-75-86-X] - Sales: 498,000 180. Dua Lipa & BLACKPINK - Kiss And Make Up [54-49-47-44-44-30-26-41-66-29-…] - Sales: 497,900 So kicking off our next section, we have five top 10 hits and more long runners with lower peaks I was originally gonna split this into two sections of the 5 T10 hits and the 5 non T10 hits but let's play a connection game In this section we have Dua Lipa, who collaborated with Sean Paul, who collaborated with Clean Bandit. And we also have entries from Camila and Quavo who have collaborated together before. Kiss And Make Up was Dua's 2nd biggest hit from the deluxe version of her smash album (which included two number one's, one of which is coming up in the next section) and is a complete bop and pop anthem. It's also BLACKPINK's 2nd hit yet after As If It's Your Last which I think went top 20 for them. Anyway K&MU is far from done as its set to reach a new peak this week and could eventually make my top 10! Sean Paul also appears in this section as a feature on the CNCO remix of Hey DJ led by Meghan Trainor. This is another hit for Meghan whose been one of the biggest artists on my charts ever (my charts started at the start of 2014) and peaked at #6 and has spent 7 weeks top 30 so far! I adore the remix and Meghan slays her parts, this is also CNCO's 3rd hit here after million sellers Ahora Lloras Tu and Reggaeton Lento (Little Mix version). Time will tell if this cna become their 3rd million seller out of 3 hits! Clean Bandit pop up here with their latest (underrated) single Baby which gave Marina her first hit since #1 hit Blue and Luis his 2nd hit ever after the song in the last section. Baby issa bop and spent two weeks in my top 10 (on very high sales, the week it debuted was competitive af with new songs from Hailee/Carly/Ari which are all still to come). However it fell pretty quickly down my charts as I've got a lil bored of it. Camila pops up here with her remixed version of Real Friends, which debuted and peaked at 16 when it looked like it was gonna be a proper single but after the first few weeks, I stopped playing it so it fell down very quickly. I think it's the only Camila (album) single to miss the top 10, it's nice but nothing incredible. Another Camila single to miss the top 10 was OMG, featuring Quavo who is also a feature on Iggy Azalea's Savior. This continues Iggy's trend of getting at least one hit per year and peaked just inside the top 20 in early 2019 and is her best song since Team, its such a bop and the verses/chorus work so well together. So let's go onto the other three non ASIB songs. Why Don't We pop up with their 2nd track here with Hooked. This impacted as soon as I really started to get into the band and peaked at number 7 on album release week, before falling incredibly quickly down the charts oops. Hooked issa bop and one of their best videos. Una Healy scored one of the biggest surprise hits of the year with country-pop bop Never See Me Cry. Una sneaked a week in the top 10 at #9, becoming the first solo Saturdays' top 10 hit since I think her own song The Waiting Game in 2016 (though that plummetted down the charts). NSMC sneaked top 10 on one of the most dead weeks of the chart so Una was lucky in that regards (it was the same week Gaga's Your Song cover sneaked top 10) but it actually served way longevity than I expected at the time but I've not really gone back to it since mid 2018 haha. In terms of Saturdays members, Una has the most top 10 hits though Mollie still easily has the biggest hit with #1 smash Back To You (tho Hair Down bombed) and all of Vanessa's crap songs bombed x Completing this section is Nina Nesbitt who's had a massive renaissance in my charts over the past couple of years. Somebody Special was a long runner with nearly 15 weeks top 100 and despite only peaking at #35, was another big hit for Nina. SS isn't Nina's best but is still a great background pop song. This isn't the last we'll see from Nina in this countdown, though that's it for Una and also don't expect to see Why Don't We again until we reach the top 100 when their biggest & best songs will be popping up! And finally we have the next two songs from the incredible A Star Is Born soundtrack to pop up here. Look What I've Found in #177 is the first song to pass the half a million mark in this countdown whilst Heal Me at #172 was PopGa slaying again. LWIF is such a great song, idk why I always think it's a duet with B-Coop apart from whenever I'm listening to it Gaga's vocals are soo good and its one of the songs on the soundtrack I've gone back to the most, unfortunately for Gaga the song just missed the top 10 but has slayed in its chart run to make up for it. Despite making the top 10, Heal Me spent less weeks top 40 but comes out higher. It's another bop and works great in the context of the movie for the PopGa part and it was Gaga's umpteenth top ten hit at number 8. Recomendation: |

Baby never did it for me, one of their worst singles yet.
Great to see Alan Walker here though, really liking his output at the moment (particularly 'Different World' ft Sofia Carson) Underneath The Tree seems to return to my chart every Christmas now, it's rather good. Made it to #38 this year |

Most of your hatechart I mostly agree with, same with the top 25 videos (there are many videos that I like too!) and now onto your top 200 songs.
I like "These Days", "Sucker Punch", "Then", "Americans", "In My Blood", "Friends", "Diamond Heart", "Echame La Culpa", "Baby", "Real Friends" and "Kiss And Make Up" from your first 30 songs! Sorry, if I couldn't comment in time, my sickness ruined everything for me. |

Kiss and Make Up is my favourite from the last 10, possibly my favourite Dua song actually! It's very uptempo and quite the earworm. Baby was nice enough but not really that memorable compared to some of the tracks on the album. Giving Look What I Found a listen now, it's a bit more upbeat than the songs which charted and I think I actually prefer it! It's a shame no more ASIB songs entered the charts when the others hit ACR

Really glad to see Diamond Heart in here, Alan Walker's album Different World is superb!
As for the hatechart, I completely agree that James Arthur & Anne-Marie ruined Rewrite The Stars and it's frustrating to see that version doing so much better than the original! When people talk about the song they're gonna think of that cover instead and it's a shame. Although I Love It was a bit of a guilty pleasure for me, I thought Filthy, Sangria Wine and FEFE were all dreadful too! |

Kiss and Make Up & Real Friends are my favourites so far from your countdown.
Blackpink are quickly becoming one of my faves so I was so excited for the Dua collab and it did not dissapoint. Swae Lee is fine but I much prefer the solo version of Real Friends. |

Glad to see Clean Bandits Baby here!
The 1975 should be nowhere near the hate chart tho x It's interesting because they have quite a large crossover audience with Why Don't We. This post has been edited by WhoOdyssey: Feb 15 2019, 12:36 AM |

Made it to #38 this year Thanks Dan <3 I got low-key bored of it pretty quickly haha Alan's album is acc so good <3 I wasn't a massive fan of the Sofia track tho Yep UTT is getting bigger and bigger for me every year Hopefully it'll continue to slay your chart *.* Most of your hatechart I mostly agree with, same with the top 25 videos (there are many videos that I like too!) and now onto your top 200 songs. Sorry, if I couldn't comment in time, my sickness ruined everything for me. Thanks Serge <3 Glad your agreeing and loving so much so far <3 Dw it's fine I'm running about 800 months behind with this as ever At first I thought In My Blood was pretty good, then I ended up liking it more upon relistening. Thanks Dalek <3 Oops it went the other way for me Kiss and Make Up is my favourite from the last 10, possibly my favourite Dua song actually! It's very uptempo and quite the earworm. Baby was nice enough but not really that memorable compared to some of the tracks on the album. Giving Look What I Found a listen now, it's a bit more upbeat than the songs which charted and I think I actually prefer it! It's a shame no more ASIB songs entered the charts when the others hit ACR Thanks Pete <3 It's so good, def one of her strongest *.* Yep look what I found is one of the most upbeat ones! If your wanting more upbeat tracks on ASIB, then I'd say Heal Me/Hair Body Face/Why Did You Do That are the other ones and I'd recommend those <3 I'm glad you enjoyed that and yep same, I was hoping some more would enter Really glad to see Diamond Heart in here, Alan Walker's album Different World is superb! Blackpink are quickly becoming one of my faves so I was so excited for the Dua collab and it did not dissapoint. Swae Lee is fine but I much prefer the solo version of Real Friends. Thanks Lewis <3 Ikr *.* Blackpink are sfg Ready for them to breakthrough this year *.* I can leave or take Swae on the track, he doesn't rly make much difference for me haha Somebody Special *.* I kinda glossed over it at first but obv Loyal To Me slayed so much I had to go back and I love it now! Thanks Liam <3 SS is sfg, Nina is queen *.* Hello to Una Healy! Also a nice run of Gagas she just missed out for me this year unfortunately! 161. Taylor Swift - This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things [10-11-16-21-26-41-52-58-61-62-70-79-80-87-90-x(17wks)-4-27-73-X] - Sales: 565,800 162. The Chainsmokers - Sick Boy [92-9-8-17-22-28-42-49-58-71-76-85-X] - Sales: 563,100 163. Julia Michaels - Heaven [10-5-13-25-37-46-52-61-63-67-81-95-X] - Sales: 560,000 164. Mabel feat. Not3S - Fine Line [52-43-36-37-31-16-26-35-47-59-64-78-91-X] - Sales: 552,300 165. Dua Lipa - New Rules [57-13-14-11-3-4-4-3-1-1-2-6-6-7-9-9-11-14-15-19-19-24-27-34-36-41-45-55-70-20-39-45-52-57-59-64-66-66-74-81-86-88-90-93-96-X] - Sales: 538,200 166. Hayley Kiyoko - Curious [74-37-41-30-24-23-18-34-46-65-91-95-X] - Sales: 530,000 167. Kendrick Lamar & SZA - All The Stars [55-55-54-56-55-41-30-46-58-77-85-88-88-91-X] - Sales: 525,500 168. Rita Ora, Charli XCX, Bebe Rexha, Cardi B - Girls [13-10-21-36-47-58-97-72-77-89-90-X] - Sales: 525,300 169. Daya - Safe [75-39-24-23-23-31-34-45-56-61-73-89-X] - Sales: 523,000 170. HRVY feat. Malu - Hasta Luego [36-34-82-58-51-54-31-41-58-85-X(>20wks)-15-…] - Sales: 521,400 The quick chat: - TIWWCHNT was one of the biggest boosts from the Rep Tour which saw it go top 5 - Sick Boy started off strong and is by far one of the best ever things that band have done - Heaven is one of Julia's highest peaking hits (maybe even highest) but she has quite a few bigger selling ones oops - Fine Line was Mabel's first & only hit of 2018. Look for her to have much more success this year where she's already scored her first top 15 hit with a multi-week #1 - New Rules continued to slay - Curious issa bop and it deserved a longer chart-run, probs my fave of the 2018 songs here, then again it peaked v. late in my chart compared to release date - All The Stars is good but idk how it had such a long-chart run, I haven't gone back to it in ages - Girls was a rare flop for Rita, only just sneaking top 10 and having a dreadful chart run - Safe was also Daya's worst performing single to date - Hasta Luego got a way nicer peak in the post-Xmas boost, a bop *.* |
