At we're halfway through the year so far - what's been your best and worst #1 singles so far this year?

Ava Max - Sweet But Psycho
Ariana Grande - 7 rings
Ariana Grande - break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored
Lewis Capaldi - Someone You Loved
Lil Nas X - Old Town Road
Stormzy - Vossi Bop
Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber - I Don't Care

6. Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber - I Don’t Care

I don’t hate any of them which makes a change from most years, and really like the top five!

Been a good year for #1s so far!!! Old Town Road gets my least fave as it's tired on me now but I genuinely like all of these songs.

What a mellow list, I don't even dislike these, a lot of them are just...there.

Ava Max I still like quite a bit, Lil Nas X was also fairly amusing for a while. Least favourite probably Lewis Capaldi, again I don't hate it but it defines dull.

Pretty good list, I like all of them (though 'Someone You Loved' stuck around well past its welcome). Honestly kinda forgot 'break up...' reached #1 as opposed to #2 or so

the best by miles is Lewis Capaldi SYL, great song with great lyrics
cannot the same for any of the rest
the Ava Max song is good but she's too much of a copycat, but still good

the worst are the 2 Ariana songs and IDC

Best - Vossi Bop by Stormzy
Worst - either Ariana song, Break prob worst as it seemed to hit the top spot with the momentum she had built before the album and for a no1 these days fell down the chart quite quickly.

Can you tell that I'm an Ariana mod on here stan goggles off though this era has genuinely provided her second best album for me. '7 rings' hit #1 in my personal chart, 'break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored' #3 and 'Sweet But Psycho' #5 so those are very high highs! I then enjoy 'Old Town Road' and 'Vossi Bop' too. Big gap from #5 to #6 as I'm not a fan of the bottom two.

'Someone You Loved' is a fine enough song really, I'll probably enjoy it more down the line when it's less overexposed, but it's my least favourite of Capaldi's 4 top 40 hits even before the overplay oops. Has been a good year for #1s imo.
