Whilst we're revisiting 00s dance in the chart forum, it's time we ranked the biggest dance hits of the 2000s.

The top 15 best-selling dance songs of each year in the UK have been selected, simply rank them from +15 (favourite) to +01 (least favourite) and the top four of each group will be put into a grand final.

The deadline will be set for next Saturday.

2003
Another quite bleak year for dance music with not a whole lot of big sellers. The year's biggest hits came from 'Move Your Feet' and 'Make Luv', whilst eurodance was still going strong with Ultrabeat making two appearances as well as entries from Scooter, DJ Sammy and XTM in the year-end list. 'Satisfaction' was a huge electro house hit for Benny Benassi whilst garage producer Jaimeson had two hits in the year. Trance also represented with 'Loneliness', 'The Opera Song' and 'The Way' though the genre was starting to die out as a chart force sadly.

+04: Bhangra Knights vs. Husan - Husan [this & mundian to bach ke bringing the punjabi flavour to the chart]

+02: Jurgen Vries feat. CMC - The Opera Song (Brave New World) [a bit dull, The Theme was 1000x better]
+01: Ultrabeat - Feelin' Fine [well, some comedown this was! they'd at least redeem themselves with future releases]

Don't actually dislike anything here, only the bottom 3 I'm not all that keen on.

+15 Tomcraft - Loneliness (great dance tune, certainly one of the best of the 00s)
+14 Ultrabeat - Pretty Green Eyes (such a great vocal and a drop to bounce around to and I like the use of the flute in it too)
+13 Layo & Bushwacka! - Love Story (Finally) (one of the best deep house songs ever imo, has an amazing vocal and nice 'deep' production)
+12 Divine Inspiration - The Way (Put Your Hand In My Hand) (great song, one of the trance songs I really liked even before I got into trance as a genre)
+11 Ultrabeat - Feelin' Fine (remember this from the time and liked it, defintiely one of the best Clubland songs with a great vocal and atmospheric production)
+10 Jaimeson - Complete (great drum and bass tune)
+9 Bhangra Knights vs. Husan - Husan - Great funky bhangra tune - liked this at the time
+8 Scooter - Weekend! (not one of their best but still a good tune)
+7 DJ Sammy - The Boys Of Summer (this was EVERYWHERE in early 2003, seemed like everytime my parents turned on the radio in the car it was on. Good dance cover!)
+6 Benny Benassi pts. The Biz - Satisfaction - Great tune, very different from anything else around in the charts at that time. Prefer this to most of the late 2006 and 2007 electro songs tbh.
+5 Jaimeson feat. Angel Blu - True (This still sounds very relevant! Those raps by Jaimeson and Angel Blu are great and the song has a great bassline drop)
+4 XTM & DJ Chucky pts. Annia - Fly On The Wings Of Love - Very cheesy, this was 2003's dance novelty song and I think its a good tune.
+3 Jurgen Vries feat. CMC - The Opera Song (Brave New World) - A bit too serious for my liking but still good, I prefer 'Destination' from Jurgen Vries' DT8 Project (ft Roxanne Wilde)
+2 Room 5 feat. Oliver Cheatham - Make Luv - Good tune but it is a little overrated imo, bit minimal for my liking, and for funky house I prefer the likes of Salsoul Nugget or the later funky house tunes that made the charts around the middle of the decade.
+1 Junior Senior - Move Your Feet - Still a good tune but its been overplayed and is overrated.

My favourite dance tune back at the time in 2003 was Barcelona by D Kay, Epsilon and Stamina MC, sadly it didn't do well enough in the charts to make this list though!

Yeah that's one of my all time faves too, never fails to put me in a good mood.

Stamina MC also provided vocals to another incredible track the year before, DJ Marky's 'LK', I love that almost as much <3

It would have been a better year for dance in terms of chart performance if there were still dance songs making top 10 past August. Like 2005, the top performing dance songs were mostly at the start of the year.

Great top 3 there, surprised XTM is so low, thought that usually did well on all the various Rates across the board we've had in recent times.

Excellent top 4! Glad 'The Way' made it too!

There are better funky house songs imo though as we will see with a certain 2001 track that I hope makes it to the final. I think the house songs are not getting as many votes for the early 2000s years because trance and eurotrance is more nostalgic because these genres haven't been in the charts for a long time.
