Well let's not forget Ella Henderson shot to fame with her #1 debut single Ghost in 2014.
The following year she worked with big names like Kygo and Sigma. Now, in 2017, she has tweeted that her follow up album is due very soon, and may be working with Clean Bandit on it. Stay tuned for further details.

I thought she wouldn't have a hit in the first place so her first era + the collabs really surprised me and I'm looking forward to see what she comes up with this time. She's definitely the best X Factor star since Little Mix for me. Bit odd that she's the support for James Arthur though. I would say its to get her name back out there but its in November and she should have ideally released music by then! She has left it quite late but, as I said, I never thought the first era would be a success so I'm sure she'll surprise again!
The Clean Bandit thing is just her saying she wants to work with them though.

'Ghost' is the only thing she's done that I got on board with! Never appealed to me in XF either. I thought her voice sounded like it was gargling water a bit too much.
I'll remain open minded though. Coz I was obsessed with 'Ghost'. Edit: oh and that really poppy one on her album, 'Pieces' I think it is called. |

I'm fully expecting Ella to return with a banger and have everything thrown behind her promo wise.
She was bigger than most expected in the first era (Platinum album, 5 Top 20 singles) and I think Syco will really push her (Getting her on tour with James shows they are already investing - they could have easily chucked Louisa Johnson on as the support act). |

A song like Ghost was always going to overshadow what came directly next regardless of the song.

Do we have no news about her 2nd album? I'm revisiting her first album this week and it makes me realise how much I loved it.
I find it strange that 3 years later she still hasn't released a second album. Is she ever going to come back? |

Jesy from Little Mix put this on Ella's Instagram yesterday 'jesynelson If only they knew what was coming 👀😍 I agree 3 years for the follow up on a platinum debut album is ridiculous, especially when we were hearing the album was nearly done a year ago. I assume Syco have prioritised Louisa and just dont see much mainstream future in Ella, which is a bit sad seeing her first era was pretty successful. Will be interesting to see if they give Ella an XFactor slot, I doubt it as she isnt a feature in any XF promo Ive seen. One things for sure, the Album 2 debut single had better be immense,else it's game over.... |
