WOW at the drop for Madam Secretary, decent hold for TGW and Revenge looks almost certain to be the final season now if it saw no uptick from the finale (it went up 0.6 from S2 finale to S3 premiere)

Also WOW at OUAT as well. No doubt the interest in Frozen has done it, but still, if it can hold anything near that that will be a huge climb from S3.

Finally a reason for celebration at Fox laugh.gif

Fantastic return for OUAT and a great start for Brooklyn 9-9 too. Of course the latter won't be surrounded by such high numbers every week but it's been given the best shot possible.

Slow start for CSI.

Once The Simpsons loses football I fully expect a return to 1.5-1.7 territory for B99.

I'm presuming all this 'Frozen' hype is helping OUAT more this year! Yay at that solid start for B99!

TGW lowest rated Sunday show mad.gif

It's still the best show on Sunday network TV for me happy.gif
do you think it will get better ratings in a weekly 10 pm spot on CBS?

When producers/networks are looking at renewing a series, do they value rating/share more than actual viewership? The Good Wife always seems to have a really low rating in the demo but has quite high viewership. 11.2m last night is a fantastic number considering it lingered around the 9m mark last season.

They look at money, it's not really the ratings that matter but they give the best indication of anything available. It all depends on how much each series costs and how much they can make through advertising. A cheaper show can afford lower ratings or a show specific to a certain demo might make more money through advertising than the A18-49 ratings suggest. Advertisers will pay more for a show that is watched by wealthier people or a company will look to see which shows suit their product more and would pay more for a slot in that shows ad break. But in short overall viewer-ship matters the tiniest amount, just for bragging rights really.

Great week 2 hold for Scorpion! Interested to see how it holds once TBBT is off the night entirely. ABC ratings may be inflated but I wasn't expecting Castle to beat NCIS: LA so fair play to them.

And ABC have put out a press release saying that OUAT and Resurrection were each adjusted up three tenths, to 3.7 and 2.5! Wow at the renewed interest in OUAT, being not far off the series premiere in 2011. Revenge went up to a 1.5 and beat CSI.

That's the highest episode for OUAT since the S2 premiere, amazing really. If it can hold around or above a 3.0 that'll be great.

1.5 isn't it pretty bad for a premiere?

Yes. But really, if anyone imagines Revenge will be continuing beyond this season then they've been sampling a few too many of Victoria's meds.

They should just announce this season as the final one and get it over with.

I have put it on the backburner for now, by the way. Once Upon a Time too. I think I'll catch up during their mid-season break.

Considering how badly all the dramas they've had the past couple of years in that timeslot, 1.5 is ok.

Yeah but considering this is a season premiere and the ratings are bound to drop, I think they'd rather go for something new next year.
