That was a stupid move from Vettel going into the back of Verstappen.

Good recovery by Charles, after the team screwed him on strategy again. He was the quicker Ferrari driver today, so deserves this podium. I can't help but feel bad that he doesn't have a win yet. He really deserves one. I look forward to him dicing with Max many more times in the future.

Vettel really ought to be considering his future. He's being outperformed regularly by Leclerc and is habitually making mistakes. If a new driver delivered performances like his last 12 months' worth they'd be dropped by Ferrari. For the sake of his reputation and legacy (even though I think it's over inflated) he should probably retire from F1.

You also have to wonder how much longer Mercedes will be willing to stay in F1 given their utter dominance

Got to wonder how much longer F1 will have an audience at all given merc's dominance. It's hideously dull.

I can't wait for this era to be over

Have yet to see the highlights as where I was sat didn't have a big screen but was such a great, thrilling atmosphere all the way through! Was positioned at the end of the Hangar Straight so saw plenty of the duels going into Stowe. And of course a superbly pleasing result. Thrilled for Leclerc too on the podium, I see again Ferrari attempted to screw him over in favour of Vettel but yet another blunder put pay to that laugh.gif I really think it's time for Seb to hang up his helmet now. He's done, finished.

Which is why it's so reassuring to see a sellout crowd at Silverstone every year no matter what. TV audiences are falling but there's no question about the passion of the hardcore fans of the Sport. They will turn up no matter what.

That said, the Red Bull & Ferrari fights were giving me everything today. We do definitely need more weekends like Austria when Merc are off the boil.

Dull? F1 right now is amazing
Another incredible race with so much excitement
Almost ruined by Vettel though
Shame on him, hes racing like a newie, he should step down if hes not on it

a 10 to verstappen and a 0 to vettel

also a 10 to Sanz and Leclerq was great too

Hamilton very very lucky

Let's see if this works,

Who would be your British GP reject of the race and why?

This can be anything from teams to drivers.

Overall I'd go with dull as well. The last 2 races have been largely pretty damn good but the rest of the season has been tedious, with France being one of the worst in a long, long time. I actually really like Mercedes as a team as well. I mean, they've had 3 serious goes at Grand Prix racing and crushed everyone each time so you have to admire them and those old Silver Arrows were truly beautiful, BUT knowing they're going to walk away with it each weekend isn't particularly exciting.

Agree about Vettel leaving and agree yesterday's safety car was a bit over cautious (but understandable post Bianchi) and it did ruin Bottas' race, basically gifting it to Hamilton. I think he'd probably have beaten Bottas anyway but we were denied that particular thrill

In so many ways it would Kubica every week even if it's harsh as he's such a nice guy and it is an amazing comeback but he's well out of his depth now.

That said I'm going to plump for Grosjean this weekend. he has pace at times but his decision making is awful and he managed to wipe out both Haas cars in one go.

Over the last two seasons I'd started to get properly back into F1 again and was watching most of the Sky coverage. I missed a couple of the early ones this season as doing other stuff and just have had zero interest in following it recently, last 3-4 races I've just looked at the result. Whenever I've watched it's been so tedious, definitely as dull and predictable as I've ever known in the 19 years I've followed it.

Reject of the Race for me would be: Haas they look a complete mess at the moment, followed closely by Vettel for that move on Verstappen.

They do this all the time to be fair, but they tend to get what they want. The hate Prost got in '91 was absurd. Then he compared the car to a truck and was gone before the next race.

The Australian Grand Prix will continue to be held at Melbourne's Albert Park until at least 2025.

If only Adelaide......

Haas team principal Guenther Steiner says he is still not over the collision between Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen at the British Grand Prix.

Two weeks ago, both Haas cars were eliminated from the Silverstone race, which left Steiner exceptionally frustrated as it aimed to understand why it is struggling with its long run.

Grosjean was reverted back to the Australia-spec car for the weekend (which he will also run at Hockenheim), but the team was left with no information following the double retirement.
