Close to me is beyond bad, super disappointing comeback, would have flopped back in the day
but got savaged thanks to huge amounts of payola that put Close to Me on every imaginable playlist on Spotify probably has ruined her label |

The way this eras been handled is horrible.
Ellie used to be someone I looked forward too and anticipated her releases but singles wise she’s releasing songs what just aren’t up to much. Her last three tracks have all not had much of an impact on me or made me want to listen more If that’s the direction the album is I feel it could be the first Ellie album I don’t buy I can’t believe the same person who released Lights and Halcyon has released stuff like Close To Me and Hate Me. |

I think we’ll still get the album that Ellie *wants* to release, but we’ve got to wait for all the intended ‘hits’ to pass before she can release it. Then I’ll imagine the singles will just be tacked on to the end.
