With Ellie Goulding at number one with the song from the soundtrack to Fifty Shades Of Grey. I have been thinking how many big hits from the last ten years can we name that have been taken from a movie soundtrack. Songs written or recorded specifically for inclusion in a film rather than songs added to film soundtracks long after they'd been written / recorded. I can name two straight off, anyone think of any others?

+Beating Heart (Divergent) *(on which Find You should have been released!!!!)
+""My Heart Will Go On (Love Theme from Titanic)"" Celine Dion Something here I found on OCC my googling http://www.officialcharts.com/features/lig...undtracks-3471/ Too lazy to manually copy and paste each heading, oops I have been thinking how many big hits from the last ten years can we name that have been taken from a movie soundtrack. Was just trying to find any hits regardless of year (and yes I didn't read that bit ) This post has been edited by §þiŋŋiŋğ Åđɑм: Feb 10 2015, 04:17 PM |

Will Smith - Black Suits Coming Although it was a hit in 2002.....which makes it 13 years old. Pitbull - Back In Time N Dubz - We Dance On |

I'm still highly shocked that "Breaking Free" reached the top 10 to begin with.
Also "Elastic Heart" was in the Catching Fire soundtrack before it became a hit. This post has been edited by Blank Slayberry: Feb 10 2015, 10:16 PM |

Muse - Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever) from I forget which Twilight film, and Linkin Park - What I've Done & New Divide from I forget which Transformers films.
Temper Trap - Sweet Disposition Should that count when Sweet Disposition came out a year before the movie? This post has been edited by Dircadirca: Feb 11 2015, 02:23 AM |

Another question...how many of these songs have become Platinum? Or become million-sellers?
