⬛ Joined: 17 February 2011 Posts: 56,208 User: 13,007	Where it all began ~ September 12th 2010 Gaga recorded most the songs for the Born This Way album on her Studio Bus and various recording studios around the world while touring with the Monster Ball Tour. The first we heard about its name and concept was during the 2010 MTV VMAs. She announced the title during her acceptance speech for the Video of the Year which she received for Bad Romance. She was, obviously, wearing her now iconic Meat Dress during the moment. z8gRp8mEiaU

The photoshoot would eventually form some of the artwork for the era including the single cover for the album's lead single. Have a look at the photoshoot below and comment on your thoughts:

⬛ Joined: 17 February 2011 Posts: 56,208 User: 13,007	Shooting of the Born This Way music video ~ January 22nd-24th 2011 The shooting of the music video for "Born This Way" began on January 22nd 2011, and spanned until the 24th. Lady Gaga told 92.3 that the vision and theme of the video is birthing a new race within humanity. It was eventually released on February 28th (but more on that when the day comes). On the 24th Gaga revealed plans of a second music video. The video will use a more stripped down version of the song, and the video will be released onto iTunes following the release of the first video. The money raised from downloads will go to charity. It is rumored that the video was shot but for some reason was never released. ~ For some reason, I can't seem to find any behind the scenes images from the video - so if anyone has any, please share!

Gaga chose New York to shoot the video because the city is her birthplace. Before shooting started, Gibson and Gaga decided there was only one place to work on the avant-garde, modern dance routine for the video, Alvin Alley, where Gibson had studied dance. Since Gaga did not want set pictures to be taken before the video was ready, her team had to hide the location and were successful, except at the last day when paparazzi started sneaking around. The costumes for the video were designed by Formichetti, who blogged about the various designer pieces shown in it.
