Trailer coming tomorrow! Thoughts?

Ohhhh this is the one I'm looking forward to the most. I think this is #ProjectRed isn't it?

Could this be Project Rose?

Posted by: Slayer 22nd September 2021, 06:44 PM

Excited to see it! I think the trailer will drop at 8pm UK (only guessing as that is when they released the snippet yesterday).

Posted by: Tafty³³³ 22nd September 2021, 07:23 PM

You were right about it being 8pm!

So hyped. Premieres 28th September.... the day before the next hearing.

Also back to the #ProjectRose stuff that was the Framing Britney Spears doc wasn't it? Isn't this (another one she seems to support) #ProjectRed ? Idk.

Guys!! Fe is in the doc, so exciting!

Looks very pro free britney!

The director did a really good interview as well!

Sam has commented on this one:

I don't think it shows that he's against the doc, just that the profits should be going to causes etc.. (at least that's what I got from it) I actually agree with him too. It's so easy to get caught up in these kind of things that it's hard to remember that people can profit off of it.

The minute he actually says "Britney doesn't want you to see this", I'll be boycotting right away.

Posted by: Slayer 22nd September 2021, 09:31 PM

I agree with Sam too tbh, however I kinda wish when he does watch it he'll see it'll hopefully help in some way?

I really hope one day Britney can tell her story and nobody else.

i thought i read online he was interviewed for this doc???

Interesting their allowed to use the spoken bits from her court testimony?

Posted by: Nick Jonas 28th September 2021, 09:54 AM

This is on Netflix now!

Posted by: Slayer 28th September 2021, 05:25 PM

What were everyone's thoughts?

I haven't had the chance to watch yet!

Posted by: Tafty³³³ 28th September 2021, 06:35 PM

I haven't either. Will be watching tonight!

It’s not getting great reviews.

Posted by: Chemistry 29th September 2021, 04:44 AM

It was very... meh. You could see it was made for the locals who don't really know much, but for fans it basically showed nothing new. It wasn't bad, I was just expecting more. I liked the fact Loucifer was called out, but not enough for me liking.

Posted by: dannjohn 29th September 2021, 09:13 AM

i think it was exceptional.

The bad reviews are probably a product of being bought by Lou herself.

I've seen more people say this, but I really don't buy into that. Look at The Guardian, for example, who gave it a 1-star rating. Yes, they didn't like the documentary but the review clearly shows they are pro-Britney and support her and the movement.

Posted by: dannjohn 29th September 2021, 09:40 AM

Yes but either the guardian or the independent stated that they didn't believe Adnan's text claims as it's been speculated her dad had mirrored her phone... the timeline for both was years apart.

I've not seen it yet, but it sounds exactly like what I expected? Netflix is the biggest reach Britney's situation is going to get. So, I was fully expecting nothing "new" for the fans, but those who aren't as aware of the entire story (like her fans) are probably going to get a LOT of info from it that they weren't really sure of or weren't aware just how bad it was.

Watching it later tonight!

I'm glad this came out to cement the case in people's mind (and at such great timing), but I have to agree that (for many reasons) I found Framing and Controlling were a lot more compelling and rich than B vs S.

I loved this. I thought it was very well directed and I thought they pieced together the important info very nicely. I especially loved the last few minutes (the flashbacks over the audio of her testimony in Court - incredible)

I hope Britney in the months ahead does a big interview and really kicks home the torture she has experienced at the hands of those who were meant to protect her and can get the opportunity to live her life as she pleases.

Having not watched any of the previous docs and also not really knowing a lot about what was going on with Britney, I learnt so much from watching this.

I was pretty shocked to be honest. I knew that people were in charge of Britney's financial decisions, but not her personal ones. Bits that suggested she couldn't make her own decision on whether to even go out shopping with a friend just made me think WTF is this all about. It's like when a child is at primary school and the parents make the decision for them to go on a play date and who with and when - only with a 30 year old worldwide superstar. The scene where she was "allowed" to drive her car, but she was the only person who didn't know about the "surprise" until she got there.

All those albums she made, tours she went on, the Vegas residency... none of it properly decided by Britney herself. Just put her on the stage and let her dance and sing because "Britney always loved performing".

I wondered just how much she was ever allowed to say No?
