Commentary : It's a 5th week at the top for "Uptown Funk". It's also the 7th number one for Bruno Mars on my chart but has been longer at the top than any of the others. Ed Sheeran sticks at 2 with "Make it rain". "Cheerleader" by OMI first entered my chart in April 2013 but now in its second spell on my chart and in its 16th week it peaks at number 3.
Highest climber from 16 to 9 is Ellie Goulding with her track from the forthcoming film "Fifty shades of grey". Another film connection with the highest new entry this week at 18 with "Je vole" from the film "La Famille Belier" by Louane who stars in the film. The song is a cover of a Michel Sardou song and climbs to 2 this week on the French singles chart.
The other new entry is from US band Fall Out Boy. The group has had 7 Top 20 hits in the US since 2003 but "Uma Thurman" becomes their first appearance on my chart.
