Ooh, this is a country Umiiruka can get behind *.* We're ruled by an anime character and have been trying to decide on invading an entire continent for about a year, having previously displaced millions of native tribes people in a bloody coup to seize our living area. I think our countries could get along very nicely.

One wonders what sort of agricultural disaster could have lead to the formation of a desert in the polar continent of West Hasbeenalia ~

One wonders what sort of agricultural disaster could have lead to the formation of a desert in the polar continent of West Hasbeenalia ~ Geek. It's clearly a micro-climate with a hot spot of high pressure and magic forces that push away any rain clouds that get past that. ~ Hi, I love this country and hope you continue doing what you're doing. Musically and otherwise. |

Ooh, this is a country Umiiruka can get behind *.* We're ruled by an anime character and have been trying to decide on invading an entire continent for about a year, having previously displaced millions of native tribes people in a bloody coup to seize our living area. I think our countries could get along very nicely. Indecisive and heartless. Sounds like a solid ally to Desbuandese ears. We look forward to relations with you. One wonders what sort of agricultural disaster could have lead to the formation of a desert in the polar continent of West Hasbeenalia ~ Wait, the continent is called 'West Hasbeenalia' and it's meant to be cold when we're new and hot?! That's not ideal . Geek. It's clearly a micro-climate with a hot spot of high pressure and magic forces that push away any rain clouds that get past that. ~ Hi, I love this country and hope you continue doing what you're doing. Musically and otherwise. Thank you for that perfectly plausible explanation - re-branding would have been such an effort! And thanks, the feeling is definitely mutual . (Musically, the current entry is very different to our debut though ). Omg this country is great, very funny! Wishing you all the best in the contest (if it ever starts). Thanks Callum - best of luck with your debut and fair play on all the effort you've put into your thread! |

Important Cultural Factoids[list] [*]Most inhabitants favour Dec over Ant. They find Ant's laugh "a tad false at times". [*]Selfie-taking is limited to thrice a week (or five times when you get a new haircut obviously). [*]Clowns and polystyrene are illegal and are kept out of the country by excessively strict border controls. [*]Monobrows are deemed to be indicative of high emotional intelligence as well as superior handwriting skills. [*]Fried eggs must be flipped at least once or else nobody will take you seriously. Cute. |

Ever the BJSC glory hunter, Desbuanda has unsurprisingly jumped right aboard the 'heavily-accented Oceanic chill rap' bandwagon that appears to be everywhere these days . *Actual iTunes review* QUOTE by Liam Fitzpatrick Allday has my nipples standing on end like when you get out of the shower in winter. 68 WELL THAT WENT WELL Desbuandese shores have finally been well and truly hit by the news that the nation unexpectedly fared very well indeed (placing 6th to be precise ) in BJSC 68, which took place in Carellis, Persephonia last month. 'Graveyard Whistling' by Nothing But Thieves dark horse'd it to the final and ended up becoming quite the cult hit, receiving votes from only 18 nations (the lowest in the top 10) but achieving a very high average of nearly eight points per voter. Locals are utterly thrilled that the song attracted such strong support and managed to provide the country with its debut hit. Amongst the widespread jubilation, however, fears are mounting that Desbuanda's graveyards will never be the same again due to gangs of radical contest fanatics seeing fit to pay tribute to the song by whistling continuously during private burial ceremonies . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 69 Do you tend to dick around instead of working towards your life goals? Sit back, relax and let yourself be patronised by this pop song. |

recognised this *instantlyyy* when i first listened, then realised it's a song i came across when looking for potentials a few months back! only without that odd spoken-word section at the end
either way this is the kind of hard-hitting synth pop i can get down with, Trifoski & the Keronian platoon highly approve |

71 (Let's pretend I didn't forget to update this last month ) For the first contest of the year, Desbuanda entered Flor's upbeat, infectious, utterly irresistible bop 'Heart' which proved, well...resistible and failed to qualify despite unanimous predictions to the contrary. Moving swiftly on~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 72 Our inadvertent tribute to noted amaze poster Rabbit Heart/Froot continues (after 'Heart' by Flor...INA ) with our newest entry of 'TV' (he's a UK TV Mod ) by Eves (Eve -> apple -> fruit -> FROOT ) The Behavior (he's generally quite WELL-BEHAVED ).
Anyway, we're suckers for a moody, cinematic, lyrically deep, soaring pop song laden with moments and 'TV' ticks every box ('box' geddit :/). |

Hmm I think you might be reaching a bit with that analysis
This is great anyhow, and a massive grower. A good thing you had a SMASH in the bag for this month so your circumstances didn't deny you another qualifier ~ (very sorry to hear about that by the way). |
