Not sure if anyone saw this when it was first out but it was Spain's choice for Foreign Language film at the Oscars and I think it's a real shame that it wasn't nominated there (at least it got a BAFTA nom for the same category). It's from acclaimed Oscar-winning director Pedro Almodóvar who also directed films like Volver, Talk To Her and Women On The Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.
I thought the story was completely gripping and really enthralled me in the final act. Emma Suárez was also excellent as the title character and it's a shame she only got awards buzz in Spain for the role. I wouldn't say it's as good as Volver for me but I loved it and would definitely recommend it!
I really loved this. LOVED the twists and turns in the narrative.
