So anyone that's following my http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=161298http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=161298 *crickets* would have seen that two of my favorite reality shows of 2013 were The Block and My iamspamspamamiRules from Australia.
Both are returning this month, and actually on the same DAY, hoping for a viewing buddy or someone to get addicted to the show(s). I only started watching My iamspamspamamiRules last year; and I will admit - I got addicted. By far one of the best reality shows of 2013, the production value was AMAZE.

Here is a brief synopsis of each show:

My iamspamspamamiRules 2014:

My iamspamspamamiRules is an Australian competitive cooking game show broadcast on the Seven Network since 2010. The series is produced by the team who created the Seven reality show My Restaurant Rules, and was put into production based on the success of Network Ten's MasterChef Australia. My iamspamamispamwhoamspam Rules has just been renewed by the Seven Network for a fifth series.

The Block Fans vs Favorites

The Block is an Australian reality television series broadcast on the Nine Network. The series follows four or, more recently, five couples as they compete against each other to renovate houses and sell them at auction for the highest price.
The series first ran for two consecutive seasons in 2003 and 2004, and was originally hosted by Australian gardening guru Jamie Durie. The first season was filmed at Bondi and the second at Manly.

Moving to Victoria, Australia, the fourth season was filmed in the Melbourne suburb of Richmond, Victoria on Cameron Street. Breaking with tradition, season four was filmed in four side-by-side houses as opposed to an apartment block of four. Season four saw television personality Shelley Craft join Scott Cam in hosting the show.
Season five began airing in April 2012. As with season four, season five has retained the four separate houses format, as opposed to four apartments in a single apartment block as in earlier seasons. Season five is again set in Melbourne, on Dorcas Street, and is set in four adjacent multi-storey town houses.
The first three seasons of The Block aired once weekly for 13, 26 and 9 weeks respectively. For seasons four and five The Block was aired every weeknight, taking on the tagline "7'OBlock Weeknights," and every Sunday night for 8 weeks.

Here's hoping we get a few new people watching this show so I'm not alone. Both series start Monday, January 27th.
Hopefully by than we can ensure that iamspamspamamidoesn't auto correct rolleyes.gif

link and all pls

Posted by: Aaron. 14th January 2014, 05:43 PM

I'll send you the link later today.
Probably should have mentioned, for both they usually run 4 episodes a week, and average 45 minutes to an Hour in length, so big investment.

Since this is a special season of The Block, and they're planning on running a regular series later this year.. this one may be shorter.
My Kitch.en Rules last year had 46 episodes.

I seem to remember a british show like 'The Block' a fair few years back. Want to say it was filmed in Brighton for some reason.

One of my friends insists that I need to watch MKR! They were filming at Southbank in Brisbane in early November. Saw the trucks and everything as we passed through the CBD en route to the coast.

I live for Masterchef Australia

Posted by: Aaron. 21st January 2014, 02:45 AM

The Block has gotten alot better, and has gotten alot more attention.
If you do indeed like Masterchef; check out my Top 100 Reality Stars; I have about 8 from the last season in my Top 100.

Posted by: Aaron. 27th January 2014, 01:27 PM

OMGGGGGG Both have started cheer.gif cheer.gif cheer.gif

As of right now I've only actually seen My Ki.tchen Rules. I'll watch The Block tonight.

Thoughts:

Annie and Jason: Cute! They're a really cute couple. However, they don't seem like a couple to me.. more like Brother and Sister. He is adorable and the star of the couple. She's a little bland for me. Oh, and can you say CHEESE?! Holy f***. Three courses of CHEESE. I'd be in heaven.

- Entrée: I loved how they said it was a great start to the beginning of the competition, but than said there was issues with the whole thing. The cheese really should have been runny. And rocket salad? It was just there for show.. Really added nothing.
- Main: RARE STAKE. I do agree with the decision to cook the steaks to one wellness, but, that looked too Rare for me. It also looked very under seasoned and boiled. Do they not own a grill? Also, I hate Bleu Cheese.
- Desert: The NSFW Cheesecake. They really had nothing to say about this. It was a cheesecake. KBYE.

Passable meal really, but nothing creative at all. I was surprised to see an 8/10 from one of the Judges on the Entrée. It was fried cheese on rocket with cut up apples.

Teams:

Andrew and Emelia: Another team where the guy really stands out.
Chloe and Kelly: LURVE. Total bitches and well travelled? Their going to have the most grating opinions. Cannot wait.
Deb and Rick: She's a horny cougar who wants both of the judges diques. He'd totally sit there and watch too.
Helena and Vikki: The "Non-Identical" Identical Twins. So much caked on make-up. I love the fact that they're already going to heads with Chlose and Kelly. I sadly think they will be the first team out. I'd love for them to stick around. Total bitches. I love that they had something to say about EVERYTHING that Chloe/Kelly had to say.
Paul and Blair: Do old people not age well in Australia? You'd think a team of Dad's that still have young kids would be a bit. Younger?

Amazing Start. Love it.

Posted by: Aaron. 24th March 2014, 11:49 AM

SHOCK.
Carly and Tresne are cited as "Friends" on MKR. However just revealed they are a COUPLE and since filming the show - are now MARRIED. wub.gif

LOVE THEM. SO CUTE.

Posted by: Aaron. 12th April 2014, 02:45 AM

WHAT THE ACTUAL f***.
The Block finale was... by far... one of the most intense things I've ever seen.
Kyal and Kara clearly went in as the favorites.

Last years winners Alisa and Lysandra beat them within the first 10 seconds of the auction.
But Steve and Chantelle who went last in the auction beat THEM out by $20,000.

It really just came down to the auction order - because Alisa and Lysandra didn't go last - the bulk of the money was left at the end for Steve and Chantelle to take... and the sad thing was everyone WILLINGLY gave them the last spot!!!

SO f***ING INTENSE.

Final Result:

First: Steve & Chantelle
Reserve: $1,834,000
Sold For: $2,470,000
Profit: $636,000 + $100,000 for winning = $736,000

Second: Alisa & Lysandra
Reserve: $1,759,000
Sold For: $2,375,000 Million
Profit: $616,000

Third: Kyal & Kara
Reserve: $1,872,000 Million
Sold For: $2,440,000 Million
Profit: $567,250

Last: Brad & Dale
Reserve: $1,802,000 Million
Sold For: $2,310,000 Million
Profit: $507,250

All apartments sold for over $2,000,000.
I can't believe Steve won for literally doing f*** all this season - he won because of the auction order. Simple as. But it was amazing. Holy Crap.

That wasn't the best Masterchef Au seasons but there were some fabulous people in it and Daniel is so easy on the eyes.

Heston weeks are <3
But that season was horrible to watch.. but <3 for Nolene and Samira <3
Season 2 was by far the best.

Season 2 was by far the best.

why was it horrible?

i must say it feels like a lot of ppl generally fly under the radar and ppl who have done amazingly have one trip up and are gone for good whilst less impressive chefs progress.

Posted by: Aaron. 13th April 2014, 02:54 PM

There were just better seasons. I found this cast other than a few quite insufferable.
Also I absolutely love when they go "offsite" - Season 1 and Season 2 they went somewhere asiany and to New York.
This season when they went to Dubai, it just seemed like an unfair advantage for a few. But I don't want to spoil so much.

There were so many good competitors in the first 2 seasons.. Adam, Callum, Courtney, Alvin, MARION <3, Poh, Chris, Justine.. Amazing.
I don't think anyone will really be remembered from this season.

Posted by: Aaron. 13th April 2014, 02:56 PM

Also, I've always said there is a serious fundamental flaw with Masterchef Australia.
You can get to the end, 100% by cooking "Safe Dishes".
Take a risk, screw it up, you're going to go home. Even if you're a better chef than anyone else there.

In all of the seasons so far, the person that is the "Best Chef" has never won - the person that probably came the closest would be Season 1.. but that was something of it's own.

i've renamed this thread australian tv if that is okay aaron? seems sensible to have a dedicated thread~

Posted by: Aaron. 13th April 2014, 08:54 PM

I was going to do the same thing, make sense since we're chatting Masterchef AU, and soon, BBAU once it returns!

Posted by: Sibariclas 13th April 2014, 09:42 PM

Think BBAU is watched by enough peeps to have it's own thread.

As for Masterchef. I would say that you have a point Aaron but the two winners before this year were both very very good. Andy especially.

This year was very weird as there was a lot of good people who went before some people that should never have made it past auditions. Think series 3 is my favourite so far!

I don't understand how Kelty made it pass auditions. Michael and Clarissa too! How far through the season are you?

My favourites from season 5 were Jules, Daniel, Samira and Lucy.

i am in finals week. tbh the show is so ridiculously crazy in its format that it's a case of luck of the draw with the tasks and as aaron has said you take a risk and you go home.

out of everybody i would say rishi (even with his arrogance) or samira deserve to win but it's quite clear ten have been setting up lydon for it. just look at his intro on the credits. very biased and i'm sure the mother's of oz love him.

Posted by: Sibariclas 13th April 2014, 10:28 PM

Kelty should never have stayed for as long as he did, and his fuck up costing the far superior Jules to miss out on coming back was sacrilege. Plus everything about him annoyed me from day one.

Posted by: Aaron. 13th April 2014, 10:41 PM

I actually liked Kelty...... hahahaha
Lynton was so simple..

Favorites: Samira (Once she returned), Rishi, Daniel (For His Body), Nolene, Vern (ROBBED!) and Jules

Posted by: ░░‽░` 18th April 2014, 11:55 PM

well that was definitely a very underwhelming final. what is it emma did to warrant the title of masterchef? it felt utterly ridiculous.

you can see why it's faltering in the aussie ratings. you need to celebrate the best gutsy cooks and that judging panel is just awful, the three of them are difficult to tell apart and blend into one. lovely to see ten have learnt and have kept the panel the same for season 6...

NEED MOAR KYLIE KWONG

she's back as "regular guest mentor"

why not just make her a judge and kick one of the blokes?

the panel needs something feminine

Posted by: Aaron. 19th April 2014, 05:44 AM

They tried adding Matt Moran as a permanent judge a while back, but it disrupted the flow and they quickly demoted him.
As much as I hate to say it, I love the flow of the three judges we have.
Gary is by far the weakest however, George I love and Matt Preston really rounds things off well.

If they were to add a female, I'd have a tough time picking between Maggie Beer and Kylie Kwong.
Marco Pierre White can suck an egg. He has been, and always will be, terrible. Masterchef The Professionals was horrendous to watch.

Masterchef Australia starts May 5th.
My Kitchayn Rules ends on Tuesday.. Helena and Vikki FTW!!

Nothing really all that interesting.
There are some 1 minute VTs of some of the cheftestants on Youtube as well, but I couldn't be bothered.

Posted by: Sibariclas 25th April 2014, 10:23 AM

I can't wait for it to hit the uk, where do you watch masterchef Aaron?

Posted by: Aaron. 25th April 2014, 02:14 PM

I'll send you a linque for a torrent website that specializes in Australian Torrents.
Masterchef Australia, MKR, The Block, Australias NTM (if that ever returns).. They're all uploaded pretty much within an hour of being on TV. And the great thing for me is that's usually 7AM in the morning for me.

Posted by: Sibariclas 25th April 2014, 02:31 PM

Fab! Thanks Aaron! Here's hoping it's not blocked in the uk

Posted by: Aaron. 30th April 2014, 01:25 PM

'nother preview.
Looks like a big group this year. Will make it hard for me to do my ranking (yes, Aaron's Top 100 will return this year).

In other Australian TV news. My Kitchayn Rules ended last night. I was a little iffy on the result. There's alot that's come out about the show this last week, such as fake drama and the fact that the home cooks didn't always 100% cook their own dishes.. I'll see if I can get around to a little debrief.. but this year was not as good as last year.. that's for sure.

Posted by: Sibariclas 30th April 2014, 05:32 PM

I am so beyond excited for this! Love me a good season of Masterchef Au.

Posted by: Aaron. 5th May 2014, 01:15 PM

STARTED.
We get auditions this year. Kind of - just skimmed the episodes. Looks like shortlisted people and US Masterchef-esq auditions.
Will watch the episode tonight.
Over an hour of Masterchef Goodness. cheer.gif cheer.gif cheer.gif

Posted by: ░░░░ 5th May 2014, 01:43 PM

just watching now. this audition thing is very choppy.

Posted by: Aaron. 6th May 2014, 01:03 AM

Yeah, it's not the best. Clearly they were going to need to give out more than 12 Aprons, especially since they gave out all 12 like 30 minutes into the show.
A lot of these people seem to have a lot of potential
laugh.gif at Ben's brother not even making it on.
The Gay Guy with his Nan was cute.

Clearly anyone they showed was either getting an Apron, or a Second Chance.
There are ALOT of people we saw that we know make it on - because they were in the preview.

The guy that failed on his meat, not sure how he got a second chance. Your dream is to cook Meat, and you can't cook Meat. GTFO.
He got two Yes's as well - f*** off. This isn't Masterchef: Just Vegetables.

That last chicks Daughter looked like a dude.

Posted by: Aaron. 6th May 2014, 01:16 AM

Also, top 24 this year? Holy f*** my Ranking is going to be SO screwed.
They gave out 14 aprons, plus 10 tomorrow if what I heard was right?

Oh my gee.
But I'm glad this is back.
Hopefully it's like a Traditional Masterchef.
That last chick can be Julie, and that girl with the unfortunate Brain injury can be Poh.

Posted by: Aaron. 7th May 2014, 01:35 AM

Episode 2.
Ehh. They still have issues showcasing a lot of these people.

Shocked Hamish didn't make it through. The producers usually love the "I'm a ______ but it's not what I want to do" and he was milking that to no end. Guaranteed he comes back next year and makes Top 10 easy.

Ashleigh (the old lady) was cute, but clearly was out of her depths. Nolene had substance. She really didn't bring anything special.

Hot guy with the white V-Neck shirt (Byron). Yum. But kind of an idiot. Happy he made it through!

Posted by: Aaron. 8th May 2014, 01:19 AM

Episode 3.
NO INTRO!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I hope that was just because they swapped Cecelia with Georgia. But we will have to see.
24 is wayyyyyyy to much. 21 people in an elimination tomorrow? God.

The only one really sticking out at this point was Nick. Good to see a few new people step up, but Nick is really stealing the show at this point.
Totes called out Sam for being a lesbian before she even opened her mouth FYI.

Posted by: Aaron. 10th May 2014, 12:48 AM

Episode 4.
REALLY? f***ING FRIED RICE IN 30 MINUTES, WHEN YOU GIVE THEM PRE-COOKED RICE.
Seriously. I'd f***ing ace this god damn show at this level. I would have done some Duck Fried Rice, Veggies. Christ. What were these people doing wrong to NOT be in the Top 9?!

Second Round. "Guess That Ingredient" - Super easy.

Third Round - Rachael was probably shocked she was there, but an easy win for her. Deepali and Brendan should have both gone. They failed miserably. Deepali can't seem to make a decision on her own, so expect her to probably leave soon.

Posted by: ░░░░ 12th May 2014, 05:56 PM

may i just say how INSUFFERABLE this year's cast are. in particularly amy who is one of the worst examples of a human being i have ever come across.

Posted by: Aaron. 14th May 2014, 02:51 AM

Amy is pretty bad, but Deepali was by far worse.

Few people I'm going to pick on..

Deepali: Bottom is both eliminations so far, and she's finally gone. She seemed to pick up on the confidence front on the second round - but clearly failed miserably by failing to cook her stake correctly. However I thought it was really close for her to stay.
Rachael: The older women, but not the oldest. The one that was up for elimination that one time and cooked Crab. I actually see her doing quite well.
Byron: JFC he's hot, not sure if he can cook yet though.
Jamie: Another one of my favorites. I think he's in for the long haul too.
Nick: Can he do anything other than Deserts? Questionable really. His steak was super rare too. I wouldn't have even tried it.

I think the problem is there are too many people. Happy that we're now cutting 2 per week.
Predictions for who makes it far: Laura, Rachael, Renae, Ben, Jamie and Scott
At Risk: Amy, Byron, Nick, Emily

I'm predicting Emily will go shortly. She's had ZERO time on the show other than butchering that Salmon in the last episode. I think they're just avoiding giving her any airtime to cut their losses.

Posted by: Aaron. 17th May 2014, 10:47 PM

Episode 8.
laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
Most shocking fail in all of Masterchef History.
Clearly Nicole was cooking out of arrogance rather than confidence. That was seriously embarrassing for her. She could have just saved one little scrap, and had SOMEWHAT of a chance in a future round.

Only other thing to add, it was great to see Emily.

Such a fail for Nicole. Glad she's gone. Idiot.

Posted by: Aaron. 25th May 2014, 02:41 AM

Nick and Emily are gone.
So two of my identified "At Risks" are gone. However I'm not sure now if Amy is going anytime soon.

Emily was such a fail last night. Seriously, did she not cook Chinese Chicken a few weeks back? It seriously looked like Mall Chinese Food, and she cut up Raw Onion? Ugh. Crab and Jam? Nope. Bananna fried coated in Condensed Milk and Cream? GTFO.

Here's a few other thoughts on individuals:

Sarah: Clear frontrunner. Nobody is even coming close to touching her at the moment. I think she will be "Marion-ed" out of the competition however. The best chefs never actually win Masterchef Australia.
Laura: Another dark horse. The only thing she's missing is maturity. If she can get this, she will make it far.
Steven: I really thought he was going to be a Dark Horse or Slow Burner, but.. he's really not producing anything good, is he?
Emelia: RESTING BITCHY FACE. She always looks like such a c**t. I also think her strategy sucks, you're clearly good at deserts, but the judges will want to see something more (outside a team challenge). When it comes time to when she HAS to cook a savory dish, and she even struggles in the slightest, the judges will send her home because they haven't seen any versatility. This last challenge would have been PERFECT for her to show diversity. You were against 11 other people. Take the risk.

Posted by: Aaron. 5th June 2014, 12:42 PM

WHY AM I ALONE.
I fell a little behind, but there's been a few eliminations.

Scott: Boring. Bye.
Sean: Really Boring. Bye.
Steven: Shocked that he went. His edit was quite good.

So we lose another three guys.
We started out with 14 Girls and 10 Guys, so it was already uneven.
So far 5 Guys and only 3 Girls have left. Lol at Girl Domination.

It was tight for Sarah there for a bit. I thought she was going to be toast, which pissed me off because she's CLEARLY one of the better cooks, but she takes risks and they haven't been paying off.

LOVE: Emelia, Sarah, Byron
LIKE: Tash, Amy, Rachel, Jamie, Brent
BORING: Laura (as of recent), Georgia, Kira, Tracy, Sam, Renae, Ben, Colin

Oddly enough, don't hate anyone.
Colin hardly exists on this show. Amy has been getting a bit more airtime recently and is showing some worth. Initially really liked Laura - but she's been real UTR recently.
Emelia is such a thunder c**t. I f***ing love her.

Posted by: Aaron. 23rd June 2014, 11:43 AM

Well this season turned out to be a real dud.
We lost two of the best cooks before the Top 10 even happened - Tash and Sarah. Although, they really put Sarah on a pedestal when she was constantly in eliminations.

Order in which I'd like to see people win: Emelia, Laura, Amy, Jamie, Tracey, Brent, Ben, Kira, Renae, Colin, Georgia.

This season just needs to end however. How terrible.
In other news. BBAU's Twitter Page just tweeted the house demolition. Not sure when this will start, some rumors suggest either Late August or early September. However Channel 9 won't air it as the same time as The Block, so they will need to wait for that to finish first. Not sure when that even starts either.

Posted by: Aaron. 27th July 2014, 05:25 PM

Two Things:

Masterchef Australia: Final two is Brent and Laura. Pretty much picked Laura to be a finalist (maybe not final two) from week one. Brent was a pleasant surprise. I actually think he's one of the better methodical chefs. You could argue that he was inconsistent - but I think his inconsistency came from being in losing a lot of team challenges, that may not necessarily be dependent on him as a individual cook.

Overall, pretty good season (the Top 10 really redeemed this season, mid way through cut alot of the fat back to back). The final 6 (Laura, Brent, Emelia, Jamie, Tracey and Ben) were all a favorite of mine at one point or another. I did want to see Emelia win, but I thought her elimination in the final 3 was justified. Rooting for Brent over Laura, that's for sure.

The Block Glasshouse: STARTS TODAY AS WELL. YAY. TITLE CHANGE. HOPEFULLY I DON'T HAVE THE TOPIC ALL TO MYSELF.

Posted by: Liаm 30th July 2014, 01:20 AM

Anybody watching X-Factor? I'm still wayyyy behind, I'm on lke episode 4 laugh.gif but that Justin kid who looks about 8 Absolutley did my head in, I couldn't make it through all of his audition! Posted by: Aaron. 2nd August 2014, 04:19 PM

Nein on the X-Factor.
Brent won Masterchef Australia.
The Block is 10 weeks (plus probably a bonus 11th week) not quite sure what that means for Big Brother. There could be overlap, if not, start date would be pushed back to the first two weeks of October. So late.

Posted by: Liаm 2nd August 2014, 04:51 PM

I've seen a few people tweet September 8th but nothing official. Apparently it's so late because they've built a totally new house, which is exciting. I suppose just over a month to wait isn't too bad, I hope that's the date anyway!

If even one person is interested, top 12 for the live shows has been revealed on X Factor:

Girls:
Sydnee Carter
Marliza Punzalan
Caitlyn Shadbolt

Boys:
Adrian Nookadu
Dean Ray
Tee

Overs:
Jason Heerah
Reigan Derry
Rochelle Pitt

Groups:
Trill
Girl group (not named yet)
Boy group (not named yet)

Ryan for the overs, Jesse for the boys, Alice for the girls and Brothers 3 for the groups are up for the wildcard, it is so gonna be Jesse. Can't believe Ronan completely cast out Chloe, I was so shocked Caitlyn got through. Reigan, Marliza, Dean and the girl group are my faves so far, but I fear Marliza might be a bit of a Shiane although she's obv more talented. I'd be happy with Ryan, Alice or Jesse for the wildcard. I quite like Rochelle's voice but her attitude is so off, I feel like she's a bit "I'm older than you therefore I'm obviously so much better".

It's actually pretty great. The standard is there with other Amazing Races, and unlike Amazing Race Canada they will be going to other countries (Leg One was just Australia than New Zealand so far).

Decent cast, loving Aston and Christie tho *_*

OH MY GOD THE BBAU TRAILER. Soooo excited now, looks like it may be couples or pairs of housemates ohmy.gif

*_*
TIM.
However "...is coming to 9" isn't helping me. It should be "coming soon to 9".
I don't know if this is going to start anytime soon - but the fact that they're announcing the twist (ish) leads me to believe otherwise.

Nine have teased that a world first twist will be the centre of the launch of Big Brother 2014

In an exclusive interview on the official Big Brother website, Big Brother has stated himself that there will be a world first twist at the middle of this years launch show.

“This year, Big Brother will roll out something that has never been done in the 63 countries that show Big Brother around the world. The Housemates won’t see it coming. It will test them from the second they walk into the House and remind them that in the Big Brother House, Big Brother’s got the power.”

It’s unclear what this could mean, but more details are expected to be revealed as Big Brother gets closer.

Big Brother returns to Nine in September.

CAN THIS JUST START NOWWWW sad.gif So excited! Very very intrigued as to what this might be...

BBAU has always pimped "EXCLUSIVE TWISTS ZoMG~!~" before - the last one that springs to mind was Logan David/Greg - the twins who swapped - but that was already done in BBUS the year before.

Bree Van de Kamp for the winner of BBAU2014!
There have been 2 other releases. One of them was a muscle jock who works out 2-3x a day.. doesn't drink.. doesn't party. Zzzz.
However, they've used the same casting agency they did last year - so I'm expecting this cast to be *_*

Posted by: Liаm 3rd September 2014, 04:06 PM

She sounds great too wub.gif can't wait, 5 days!

Posted by: Aaron. 3rd September 2014, 04:23 PM

Should probably just change this topic title to BBAU2014.
The Block has been ehhh.
I'm not up to date on The Amazing Race AU (1 episode behind) but the last two episodes I saw had my top 2 favorite teams go home. Ugh.
I'm also not sure if Amazing Race AU does non elimination legs? The last one I saw had the "Keep Racing" episode - and it was a double episode.. but they ENDED the episode with the "Keep Racing" and had an elimination in the first half 0_o?

Bradley Darke just came out. I don't remember him being especially gay in his season (although, we did have Ben) but looking back on Google Images I'm not sure how I didn't call it before o_0.

HOUSE TOUR
Kind of. Of the backyard.

It's a little cheap. Cheap pink. Cheap flamingos. That cover over the Gym is cheap. Hot tub is verrrry cheap.. they couldn't have built it in underground? Added it to the pool? That's like.. a $5,000 hot tub..

It honestly looks like a Florida retirement home, and that Eviction/Entry gate does not help with that as well.

Posted by: Liаm 6th September 2014, 12:01 PM

I've only just seen BBAU 2012 and thought he was a little gay, go my gaydar tongue.gif

Posted by: Liаm 7th September 2014, 12:19 PM

The "world first" twist is rumoured to be (I'll spoiler just in case people don't want to know):

the pairing thing we had in January's CBB. So not a world first haha. Although maybe it's a first among all the worldwide civillian series?

Posted by: Aaron. 7th September 2014, 03:55 PM

16 Housemates by the looks of it. There is an HOH. There is a pairing twist like Liam says, this first HOH has a pair as well.
It sounds like to me it's going to be like the last season of BBUK, there is a Power Room, and tasks and decisions will be made by the HOHs called "Power Plays"

I think that sounds quite good, I know we can trust Aussie BB not to mess it up with a pass to the final or killer nomination on day 2! Hopefullt there are things similar to the nominations superpower plus smaller things that can be funny like when Tim had to decide between ice cream and Tahan's hair dryer laugh.gif

Posted by: Aaron. 7th September 2014, 05:57 PM

Speaking of Tim, apparently his roommate is a housemate.. eep!

Posted by: Aaron. 8th September 2014, 12:54 PM

Only skimmed through the launch so far.
Priya became HOH pretty much because she was selected to be Housemate #1.
From than on, from what I've skimmed through, she was given a brief highlight of 2 housemates, she picks one - that's her partner.

The person left over comes on stage next, and the process continues. That person is given a highlight of 2 more housemates, picks one and that's that persons partner. Ect. Ect. Ect.

Apparently there are "Good" matches and "Bad" matches.

I'll give this a proper look tonight. The awkwardness of standing on a stage and getting questioned is back though. Can Big Brother honestly not spring for a couch?! Come on!

Posted by: Liаm 8th September 2014, 07:55 PM

I was slayed by Priya after like five minutes *.*

"FOOOOD. My first love" same babe same.

Ah so they're pairs for good, or for the forseeable, so it is a world first really tongue.gif Unlike CBB where they only did it for like a week. Maybe they'll drop it like halfway as they did with the double HOH thing in BBUS.

Posted by: Aaron. 8th September 2014, 11:24 PM

It will be foreseeable, so not really a world first in BBUS has done it, what, twice now?

Posted by: Aaron. 9th September 2014, 12:55 AM

Thoughts:

- Sonia's dress is ugly as f***, and she sounds sick as well.
- This twist is not a world first, we have had housemates play in pairs before.. Twice infact in the US.
- The house is lux *_* but isn't two stories. It's one story with an upstairs for the Diary Room. 2 stories would mean there's something like a bedroom or something upstairs (and I'm not counting the tree-house).
- I don't think Priya and Katie are going to get along, but I actually think Katie's going to be the bitch in that pairing.
- Jake's "Sell Me" advert was absolutely terrible, but his VT was brilliant. No shocker that he is Tim's roommate, they're essentially the same person.
- LOVE SANDRA *_* MEG RYAN IS IN THE BB HOUSE.
- This audience is filled with idiots. THEY'RE A MATCH (SCREAMS), THEY'RE NOT A MATCH (SCREAMS)
- Dion is a wet blanket. Holy crap. But his choices were brilliant. A hot chick, and a guy who hates muscle guys. HA.
- Lisa & Skye. Love them both.. but are they too similar?
- See, not only do I think Travis is 100x times hotter than Dion, but he's more fun too. I want him to get wasted and shag me senseless.
- I think Priya was a little more headstrong than Katie, but I'm not sure if Katie can be convinced to take the money, but we will have to see.
- Also, no mention of them being Evicted as couples. Just nominating/nominated as couples.

Loving: Priya, Katie, Sandra
Hating: Dion, Jason, Ryan (Boring as..)

Posted by: Liаm 9th September 2014, 07:07 AM

I thought the same about Priya and Katie! No way will they get along for the whole time laugh.gif

It really does seem to be all about the girls this year, although Jake could be amazing. My faves so far are definitely Priya and Katie, but basically all of the girls seem like they could be great!

Posted by: Aaron. 9th September 2014, 12:18 PM

The thing with Aussie BB is the housemates always over-promise and under-deliver.
If Priya is going to approach the house like she did with Katie in wanting to choose the $10,000, I don't see her lasting more than 3 weeks. But I do think she's amazing.

I did get good vibes from David however (the guy with the beard). I think he could be in for the long haul.

Posted by: JohnnyCartersBoy 9th September 2014, 02:08 PM

LMAO! How did i know that they would take the cash! I expect there to be some arguments! Well done Priya! Well Done!

Posted by: Liаm 9th September 2014, 02:47 PM

I would have taken it I think laugh.gif it's a game at the end of the day, like Priya said you could easily come out with nothing so why not?

Posted by: ROBOT 9th September 2014, 06:04 PM

Just watched this, never watched it before but had read a few good things on Twitter but I *love* Australians - I don't dislike ANY of them from those two episodes but my favourite is definitely Skye who had me in fits of laughter. Sandra seems hilarious aswell, her VT was great.

"She was like... she said something like... as deep as a... er... paddle pool. What does that even mean?" *starts crying* "But it's made me think... AM I NOT DEEP? sad.gif" - I can't work out if she's fake or not but even if she is, that diary room scene with Lisa had me in stitches. What a cutie.

As for the big twist, it was fantastic but I'd totally do the same thing and I'm glad Priya took the lead in trying to drag Katie into her way of thinking. I'm gonna try and keep up to date with this because I really enjoyed that and I also love Big Brother's voice, it's so not stern and so seductive.

Posted by: Liаm 9th September 2014, 07:31 PM

Skye is annoying me in a Katie and Lucy way already sad.gif Those two were the only ones I properly disliked last year, Heidi was a bit of a twat towards the end too and the likes of Sharon and Rohan were totally dull though.

Aisha is the most promising of the second day additions I think!

tbh this applies to the majority of HMs of every country's Big Brother.

Posted by: Swagerella 10th September 2014, 07:53 AM

Okay, I'm catching up. That house looks insanely expensive! Not necessarily appliances and furniture etc. that look expensive but so much space! :| And this is technically indeed the world's first to play the ENTIRE game in pairs. In CBB it was done only for a short period of time afaik?

Priya - <333 So f***ing funny. 'Sounds like an arranged marriage... i'm also used to that'. LMAO. I so knew she'd choose Katie! It was supposed to be a trick question! Arrgghh. I just hope Katie won't sink the ship and take Priya down with her :/
Katie - looks a bit Sallie-esque. Not a good thing. LMAO door was about to close and Priya hadn't entered yet. 'So much for picking you'. AMAZING
Jake - gonna be f***ing annoying really soon. That or he'll just be super boring once he runs out of steam. Which WILL happen sooner or later. I won't be surprised if he's like the current fave to win or something.
Gemma - 6'6''. LMAO. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE HER.
David - foreign bodies in rear passages. that's u in bb girl~
Sandra - oh my GOD. She's amazing.
Dion - ugh. 'straight edge' BLAH.
Jason - erm bye. Already pretty annoying.
Skye - HELP ME.
Lisa - who?
Travis - a dumb jock. 'yay'
Ryan - Okay then.

The audience is so dumb. They don't even BOO people. WHAT'S THE POINT~

So Travis either being picked by Skye or not would be a good match. ERM okay

I love that they didn't choose Skye and Lisa which would be the most obvious decision.

Posted by: Aaron. 10th September 2014, 01:20 PM

Did you watch Episode 2?
Skye is *_*

Jake even SOUNDS like Tim. So annoying.
The 4 new housemates.. boring, but I didn't really watch the VT. The Paralympic guy is probably going to win. He's hot, got a great personality and has a sob story.. triple threat there.

Posted by: Liаm 10th September 2014, 09:34 PM

Yes Pav, CBB's thing ended after the first eviction! They didn't nominate or anything though, whoever wasn't freed as part of the tasks faced the vote and that was in pairs, I don't remember if we knew all along that Lee and Casey (who were fake evicted earlier in the week) had to choose between the pair with the lowest votes, Luisa and Evander. Them evicting Evander was the only game played as a pair really so it is different essentially.

Full thoughts of everyone:

Priya - amazing, she is going to be an incredible housemate! I think she either may rub people up the wrong way or be loved by most, either way I think the public will love her.
Katie - I did really love her at first but idk she is one of those people where I start thinking "hmm i don't think I like you much?!" the more I look at her.
Jake - he's just gonna be compared to Tim, so far he doesn't seem too impressive though in comparison... Like Pav said I think he's potentially just kinda annoying tbh.
Gemma - omg love her. She seems very different to the promo ad thing but I guess there's time, she's fab either way.
David - not got much of an impression so far, I noticed in today's ep he has a great ass in those jeans tho.
Sandra - so much fun! Looks wise she kinda reminds me a bit of Rebeecca or whatever her name was from 2007 (the Mormon one), but she's way better, I love her!
Dion - yawn.
Jason - he's a bit like Ben for me, making a HUGE deal out of being gay as if nobody else is. I know coming out is hard but get over it laugh.gif am I just heartless?
Skye - she seemed better today, still think she's potentially a bit Katie/Lucy but we'll see.
Lisa - not made much of an impression.
Travis - pretty hot but see above.
Ryan - pretty nondescript again.
Sam - better not win based on the sob story but he seems ok.
Cat - she seems quite intriguing, need to see more of her obviously as she only just went in.
Aisha - see above really.
Lawson - seems like he may be a bit of a knob sad.gif

Priya, Sandra and Gemma are my faves now we've got to know them a tiny bit more.

Posted by: Aaron. 12th September 2014, 02:13 AM

Day 2 of No Food. It caused a pretty big argument, well if you can call it that. But seriously.. I'm going to be pissed if in 5 days this is still the major storyline in the house.

Some feelings on houseguests:

Priya - Still a goddess.
Dion - Boring.
Katie - Still a goddess, but her mocking Priya's accent should have gotten her in shit (or it would of if this was the UK).
Gemma - Ehhh, still not 100% sold on her.
David - Same thing with Gemma, he seems like background fodder for right now.
Jake - He's no Tim! That's for sure.
Jason - Actually liking him alot more than what I did initially.
Lisa - All I remember is that she works in a strip club.
Ryan - All I remember is that he doesn't like magicians.
Sandra - I loved her to start off with, but she's kind of boring me. But we both love coffee so she's alright.
Skye - STILL *_*
Travis - Somewhat invisible until last night.
Sam - I actually think his argument was somewhat valid.
Cat - ZZZ
Aisha - ZZZ
Lawson - He's just going to be "one of the boys" isn't he.

Also, Social Media wise, BB is under a lot of fire right now. First the axing of the Live Feeds isn't going down well, now apparently they're deleting Jason's families comments off the BB Facebook Website. Eek. I'm starting to think BB may gone again from Aussie TV at the end of this season.

Posted by: Liаm 12th September 2014, 05:58 AM

The axing of live feeds is ridiculous tbf, it just feels like it's not essentially BB anymore as we don't know what's going on outside of the 40-60ish minutes a day we see on the highlights. I saw an article saying it was like Channel 9's version of Neighbours which is maybe a bit dramatic but I can see where that's coming from... They've decided on the "storyline" of having no food and how the HMs react, so that's basically all we see sad.gif

Posted by: Aaron. 13th September 2014, 02:40 AM

Skye Love!

Posted by: Aaron. 13th September 2014, 02:46 AM

Betting Odds (Putting in Spoilers):

Skye and Lisa: $3.50
Dion and Jason: $3.50
Travis and Ryan: $4.00
Jake and Gemma: $6.00
David and Sandra: $6.00
Sam and Cat: $6.00
Lawson and Aisha: $10.00
Priya and Katie: $11.00

So, it appears the betting is in Couples, however I recall Sonia saying they'll be nominating and nominated as couples, but she didn't actually say evicted in couples - so this may change to separate betting once this is clarified. Great to see Skye and Lisa at the top. Dear GOD I hope this is a "Vote to Save" season, we need to keep the likes of Skye, Priya and Katie

Posted by: Liаm 13th September 2014, 12:33 PM

I'm growing to like Skye quite a bit now, she definitely has a bit more to her than I initially. I think she'll be very fun and bubbly like Aleisha rather than annoying as f*** like Katie and Lucy now. They're loose comparisons to make just because they're all young, blonde, fun females but you know what I mean tongue.gif

I'm not sure if I want the pairs thing to be all encompassing though, as in they're voted for by the public in pairs too... I don't want someone who's boring like Lisa to win just becsuse she's carried along by a great partner. Of course the "non entities" thus far such as Lisa, Aisha, Ryan and Travis have ages to come out of their shell a bit as it's not even been a week yet but we're obviously gonna have some dullards who stay that way throughout the whole show so that's my concern with the pairs twist. It depends whether it's vote to evict or not I guess, hopefully vote to save again. Priya and Katie will be among the first out otherwise sad.gif

Pair Swap (not a fan)
$30,000 up for grabs for the Power Couple
2 New Housemates enter the storm, I'm assuming that means 2 new Heads of Households/Power Couple - and not 2 new Housemates.

Happy that this is on Sunday, which means Saturday is the only day without a Daily Show (although Friday's was a little too short).

Posted by: Liаm 13th September 2014, 04:56 PM

Yeah I don't like the pair swap idea either, just nullifies the point really. They haven't properly got to know or play the game with each other yet :/

Posted by: Liаm 15th September 2014, 08:47 AM

The guys are pretty much all soooooo boring. David and Jake are OK but the rest just blend into one (except Jason who's seriously annoying), it's like having a house full of Caleb, Ed and Matthew.

Posted by: Aaron. 16th September 2014, 12:25 AM

Is Lisa being serious about feeling "Sexually Vilified" by David's comments?
She was involved in that initial conversation with David, Skye and someone else wherein she sexually vilified other females by instigating and questioning David picking his "Perfect Female".

Posted by: Liаm 16th September 2014, 09:16 PM

Lisa is so miserable and annoying, she's giving me Tully teas atm. Like gtfo over it, that's what men talk about, plus if you're going to eavesdrop in the Big Brother house then maybe you should be prepared for people to be talking about others, and that may stretch to them talking about you. At least Tully stirred up drama, Lisa just kept poking the dead situation which was boring.

Also she runs a strip club so surely she can't exactly take the moral high ground laugh.gif

And wtf at Travis and Ryan being voted the biggest threat. Honestly I can't picture what they look like even now, they've made no impression at all on me.

My faves now we've had a week to get used to them would be Priya and Skye for sure. I really like Sandra and Gemma too - hope we see more of them soon.

Posted by: Aaron. 17th September 2014, 01:43 AM

Everyone's bitching about Gemma, but Big Brother refuses to give her any screentime or explain why. Typical.
Instead we had 3 replays of something we saw live yesterday. Total f***ing bullshit. The editing on this show has been TERRIBLE since moving channels.

Posted by: Aaron. 17th September 2014, 01:55 AM

Opinions one week in:

Priya - Still a goddess.
Dion - BORING. Nice abs doe.
Katie - Still love her, prefer her over Priya, I think she's more relevant too.
Gemma - She needs to be shown more on the daily shows.
David - I actually think he was quite level headed in his argument with Lisa. Yes. Boys will be boys.
Jake - Shocked they're not shoving him down our throats like they did with Tim.
Jason - I do like him, but perhaps not the most relevant housemate.
Lisa - What a wet rag she's turned out to be.
Ryan - BORING
Sandra - Was one of my favorites, but I've gone completely off her, She's like Lisa.. What a drag.
Skye - STILL A GODDESS, but she did get on my nerves a little bit in the last episode. I hope we don't get a Nu Jade thing with her and Jake.
Travis - I know most people see him as the "Ring Leader" for the Boys Club, but I actually think he's fun and meshes well with the girls too.
Sam - I actually like Sam as well, again not the most relevant, but I think once some boring people start to leave he will begin to shine.
Cat - Loved her in the last episode, but still not the most relevant one in there.
Aisha - Picking up a bit in my books.
Lawson - Ehh, mid-season boot if anything.

Posted by: Liаm 17th September 2014, 10:13 AM

I thought that about Gemma! I'm sat like "eh?" because she seems fine to me and I wish they'd show her a bit more so we could perhaps see why :/

To attempt a ranking...

01 Priya (queen)
02 Skye (she could get annoying but atm I like her and she seems really bubbly rather than annoying)
03 Katie (her and Priya are definitely my fave pair as I love them both)
04 David (definitely team David over Lisa, doesn't she realise that guys will talk about boobs?! He seems like good fun imo. He is gorgeous too, idk what it is but yes please. Is he not allowed to have a sense of humour, I don't get what's so bad about most of what he says :/)
05 Gemma (I think she seems fun and nice but we should see her more)
06 Cat (she's picking up a bit, again I want to see her more though)
07 Aisha (see above)
08 Jake (I like him more than most of the other boys, he seems to have something to him at least)
09 Travis (I think he'll be the Ed/Caleb this series, doesn't do a huge amount but I don't mind him)
10 Sandra (she's annoying me for some reason now, I said yesterday she was one of my faves but she annoyed me about David yesterday a lot. I'm not sure exactly what it is but I agree she seems a bit of a drag)
11 Jason (there's something very annoying about him, again I'm not even sure exactly why but ugh)
12 Dion (all he really has going for him is his looks)
13 Sam (dull)
14 Lawson (meh)
15 Lisa (so miserable, plus please don't try and take the moral high ground when you run a strip club)
16 Ryan (beyond dull. I can't even picture what he looks like off the top of my head. He's made no impression at all on me)

Also I'm not sure about the HMs deciding which of the pair is evicted... I love the BBUS format but I think it should be either just housemates decide or the public decide, people will probably get pissed off with a mix of the two. Idk if Australia is different, but the British public never seem happy when it happens!

Posted by: Aaron. 17th September 2014, 11:45 AM

Are the housemates deciding which pair is evicted?!
I thought it was just pairs goes up, public vote, and either a pair or an individual would be evicted?

I haven't seen the nomination show yet, but BB hasn't clarified the eviction process yet.. all I know so far is that they nominate/nominated in pairs.

Posted by: Aaron. 17th September 2014, 11:47 AM

Apparently Jake/Gemma, Travis/Cat, David/Sandra and Skye/Lisa are all nominated and the public are voting to save pairs.

As far as I'm aware the housemates decide face to face which single housemate out of the pair who get the least votes from the public is evicted but yeah they should have clarified drama.gif plus that would ruin the pairs twist, it just leaves us with some HMs floating around on their own whilst the others have pairs. Maybe every other week with odd numbers someone will be without a pair and then they'll just pair up the odd ones when they're back to even numbers? But they need to clarify things, they just don't seem to care laugh.gif They should have just committed to the pairs twist properly I think and had pair evictions, but then we'd have people like Lisa who will probably be disliked by the public chained to favourites like Skye. In a way though that'd be far more interesting and unpredictable, it'd be good to see whether the "bad" housemate dragged the "good" one down or if the "bad" housemate was carried through but the "good" housemate.

Of the nominees, I can see it being Gemma who goes. I'm not sure if her and Jake get the votes that the others will, whilst Skye will make sure her and Lisa will get votes and I think Travis and Cat will be fine. Maybe David and Sandra will be in trouble too but I imagine the HMs would evict David which I don't want to happen sad.gif

Posted by: Aaron. 18th September 2014, 01:25 PM

Yeah, I'm behind 2 episodes now so not sure what's going on.
I give this whole pairs thing another few weeks.. if somehow we lose Skye I'm going to be pissed.

I had the same thoughts re: The Floating housemate, perhaps they'll join up with another floater once there has been two evictions - or maybe the floater that survives this week will be forced to join another pair to make a Triplet? kink.gif

Posted by: Liаm 20th September 2014, 10:22 AM

I really wouldn't mind Gemma going now, she's quickly becoming hugely irritating. Especially yesterday when she decided she'd deliberately stir things up and provoked Priya with her shit. Um yeah you don't need to try to stir things up when you irritate everyone enough as it is! Plus I hate how so much of the airtime is taken up by them moaning about her, once she's gone perhaps they can move on laugh.gif

We definitely won't lose Skye yet, I think she'll at least do a Ben. People don't seem to like or care about Lisa much but I don't think she's really hated or will bring Skye down or anything. But then again it does depend how long they keep the pairs thing for, maybe if it's for the forseeable and they end up against a strong pair or two they could land at the bottom and idk if Skye is more popular in the house than Lisa so she might go in that case... Idk I guess this twist could go really wrong if some pairs land at the bottom somehow and the house decides. We'll see tongue.gif

Yeah, Gemma to go pls.

Priya and Katie are my favs atm.

Posted by: Liаm 21st September 2014, 01:45 PM

Rumours are rife that the pairs twist will end after this eviction. That's kind of what I want but at the same time they should have just not done it at all if they're going to back out of it after such a short time! It would have been interesting to keep it going until maybe like halfway, but oh well!

Posted by: Aaron. 21st September 2014, 04:48 PM

RIGGED.
Of course the second they send Tim into the house, Jake, his roommate on the outside is all over Lisa.

Yes, pairs task ends after this eviction. Wow. That didn't last long.
Let's see if Tim helps the ratings, I think this show may end up getting cancelled before the final if it doesn't pick up kink.gif

Aisha - 13.00
Lisa - 17.00

What a a terrible thought if that was to be the order :/ I love Skye but Jason, Ryan, Travis, Dion, Sandra and Lawson are all meh at best. I think Cat and Katie could bloom. Priya is my fave though so eek.

----

Also, not seen today's ep yet where Tim re-entered but I hope they don't just focus on him... He won last year, give the new HMs a chance to be seen :/ Plus on wiki they have a table below nominations about eviction votes being received, please don't say the HMs will decide who goes out of the bottom 2 HMs drama.gif

Ratings are pretty similar to last season.

Posted by: Aaron. 22nd September 2014, 11:38 AM

Really? Last week hit a low of 252,000 viewers.. That's about 400,000 less than their worst low last year.

Posted by: Liаm 22nd September 2014, 04:32 PM

They're just desperately trying to cling back some ratings with this Tim thing laugh.gif at least it didn't last long, I love Tim but there's no point to it really. I guess it changes up the fact the public chose last week and that can't happen every week.

I thought the eviction was today ffs, watching today's episode now regardless!

Beardless David *.* he was hot anyway but omg he's gorgeous!

Anyway as for Monday Night Live... yay at Skye and Lisa topping the vote <3 Probably almost solely down to Skye but omg <3 I don't even like Lisa obv but Skye is too loveable! I actually thought Jason and Dion would end up winning the perfect pair challenge and Jason would end up with $20k, thank god he didn't! He annoys me so much.

That's the Friday show which airs on some cable channel called 'Go' or something. It would be like C5 airing an episode of BB here on 5*.

Posted by: Aaron. 23rd September 2014, 02:08 AM

*_* SKYE SAFE and Lisa.
How adorable is Lawson, he's actually got a great body too. I can't believe the vote for the winner of that dance off was so close.. Lawson and Aisha CREAMED the other two.

Thank god Tim's gone, David looks alright with the beard - but he's right, it made him stand out.. now.. ehh..
Hoping Cat goes. She's boring as f***.

Posted by: Liаm 23rd September 2014, 04:50 PM

Just seen the first eviction!

YES. SOOOOO glad Gemma is gone, I wanted to like her and at first I did but she became so irritating! Her sobbing (which was probably fake given the events of the past couple of days) when Sonia said her and Jake's names was ridiculous, she said herself she knew it was happening! I know that it's not a good thing to happen but still. Lol at them ALL saving Jake except Priya (only for strategy) though laugh.gif Cat's cheers when they said her name though <3

And yes Lawson is really attractive too actually! Him and David for me.

Posted by: Aaron. 24th September 2014, 04:52 AM

I'm happy Gemma went, she over promised and under delivered as far as I'm considered. Would have preferred Cat, but she will be out soon enough.
We will probably have the same people up next week. David, Sandra, Travis.. people have reasons to nominate them and probably will. Priya and Katie may get thrown up too.

Posted by: Aaron. 24th September 2014, 04:54 AM

Also, this picture makes me lull so hard..

Posted by: Aaron. 24th September 2014, 12:57 PM

Cat, Dion, Katie, Priya and Travis are all nominated. SHOCK. No David!
Pretty awesome nominations actually. Katie/Priya and Travis will be safe. It will be between Cat and Dion. Don't care who goes there!

Posted by: Liаm 24th September 2014, 03:08 PM

PLEASE can Dion go? Ugh, so so so dull. Not as bad Ryan though, he makes Nathan from last season look like Tim by comparison! I honestly have barely heard him speak outside of noms. The boys this year are awful, I only like Lawson, David and maybe Jake.

I think Priya is going to be like Mikkayla. She'll wind people up, and she might seem like she'll quite obviously go, but I think she'll stay a while. I hope so anyway, she's easily my fave! I definitely think it'll be Dion or Cat, I don't mind cat but neither would be a huge loss. I don't think Cat deserved to be that high up at all though, I guess it goes to show how much we miss out on when we just see an hour a day!

Posted by: Aaron. 25th September 2014, 01:10 PM

Is this a double eviction!? Apparently Monday and Tuesday there will be evictions?! Dreamworld is selling tickets for a "SURPRISE EVICTION" on Monday, and a Regular Eviction on Tuesday. Also, Wednesday there is a live Intruder Special!?

Whatttttt?!

Odds to Win:
Jason: 4.50
Lawson. 5.00
Ryan: 7.00
Skye: 8.00
Sandra: 10.00
Sam: 11.00
Travis: 11.00
Jake: 12.00
Cat: 13.00
Aisha: 13.00
David: 15.00
Dion: 15.00
Lisa: 17.00
Katie: 19.00
Priya: 34.00

Eviction:
Priya: 1.78
Cat: 3.50
Katie: 4.00
Dion: 8.00
Travis: 13.00

THIS HAS TO BE WRONG!

Posted by: Liаm 25th September 2014, 01:14 PM

Those odds have to be a joke laugh.gif RYAN THAT HIGH?! Wtf. He has to be the most offensively boring housemate in a loooong time. And Priya is no way going this week, that'll be a total pisstake sad.gif ugh, this series is gonna end up like BB Power Trip with all the crap ones left! Lawson and Skye are the only ones I like out of that top few.

Posted by: Liаm 25th September 2014, 04:43 PM

Katie is being such a knob recently! But she's quite entertaining, at least she causes a bit of a stir and gets a reaction out of people, I really can't see her going for a few weeks when she's causing lots of the drama. We definitely need someone like her with all the bores we have. Cat annoyed me tonight too, she always seems to be able to create something bad to do with her life or her experience in the house no matter what is that's happened...

Posted by: Aaron. 26th September 2014, 01:09 AM

Cat is such a f***ing c**t for telling Katie what Skye said about her. She could have just said "Someone told me this..."
GET CAT OUT.

Posted by: Dillan 28th September 2014, 01:01 AM

If Priya goes, I will not be a happy bunny.

Posted by: Aaron. 29th September 2014, 02:11 AM

YAY a somewhat decent storyline for Sandra!
God, Priya better stay. Cat has been soooo invisible..

Posted by: Liаm 29th September 2014, 02:01 PM

Catching up with yesterday's episode before today's! Sam HOH?! Really?! :/

Really glad to see Sandra getting some airtime, I loved her to start with but she got annoying then faded so I'm glad I get a chance to like her again. Cat was a bit more prevalent too, she still isn't the most exciting but I like her actually.

As for the eviction... actual lol at Cat being saved, how did she get the most votes?! By 11% too laugh.gif Omg I can't, I genuinely laughed! I'm glad it wasn't Dion or Travis just for their bodies but Cat isn't the greatest housemate of all time either. Still goes to show hormonal teenage girls don't run the show exactly I guess! Thank god Priya didn't go either but I think it may be her tomorrow. Bye Dion, you won't be missed! Well, your body will... Did not expect that though in seriousness! It's definitely Priya or Katie tomorrow, I pray for the latter.

Posted by: Aaron. 29th September 2014, 11:41 PM

Woah, what's with Cat being saved and having the most votes? I must say, I don't mind her when she's on my screen - but that is really few and far between.
Dion gone? Not a shocker. Nice body, he actually seems really nice, but boring as f***.

It's pretty much between Katie and Priya than, eh? They were shoving Travis down our throats last night. I haven't seen Katie in like three episodes.

Posted by: Liаm 30th September 2014, 05:32 PM

Just watched the eviction:

Priya getting the highest votes of the three *.* Kind of glad see the back of Katie actually, initially loved her but she was a bit too much I think and she wasn't the nicest person ever. I'd have preferred Travis to go as he's just a bore but oh well, the fact Priya stayed is good enough.

Jason is annoying me again too, his crying drama.gif I know it's emotional to have your best friend leave you and maybe he actually is an emotional person but it's making me think he's faking it for the cameras.

Dunno if spoilers are needed but if it was me I just wouldn't look in the thread so maybe not tongue.gif

Posted by: Aaron. 1st October 2014, 12:42 AM

I don't mind, I know when the evictions are - so I skip the thread until I have a chance to watch it.
Out of Priya/Katie, I'm happy Priya stayed. They are polar opposites.. both with Pro's and Con's. Priya is much more relate-able and root-able.. however Katie brought more entertainment.

For the long haul - I feel fine having Priya, I hope she becomes a favorite.

But, 3 evictions. 2 females.. and they put in a Male intruder?
Not only a Male intruder, but an intruder who's the exact replica of like 4 of the other guy housemates, including one who just recieved the least votes to save in a 4-Way Eviction and left?

f*** you.

Posted by: Liаm 1st October 2014, 01:26 AM

I agree about the intruder! He just seems like Dion mark II... Maybe they decided him a while ago, but they must have other reserves for further intruders, I'd just prefer a girl. Or just a guy who's fun, virtually all the boys we're left with are terminally dull, I like David, Lawson and maybe Jake but only the former has shown himself to be particularly interesting. I am really enjoying this series after a bit of a shaky start but it's lacking huge characters. Last year there was Tahan, Ben and Tim for example whereas this year I'd say only Priya really stands out as hugely intriguing for me. I think Cat, Lawson and Aisha for example are really likeable but they're just rarely, if ever, that exciting. That (and the awful Ed showmance) carried Jade to second place though!

Also I've noticed the power curse from BBUK is at play laugh.gif Toya, Pauline and Matthew all went the week after their power reign (Toya went in the same week even!), and we lost Dion and Katie this week - one of each of the first two power pairs! I very much doubt Lawson or Sam will continue it but it was just a little thing in my mind!

As it stands my favourites are Priya, David, Aisha, Lawson and Sandra. But it changes all th time as people become invisible for a few episodes, incidents kick off and dominante the daily highlights etc... laugh.gif

Posted by: Aaron. 1st October 2014, 12:21 PM

Nominations: David, Travis, Jake, Skye, Aisha, Cat and Lisa are nominated.
It's another double eviction.
Priya is safe!
Out of that group, I'd like Jake and Lisa to go (at this point anyways)

Posted by: Liаm 1st October 2014, 03:58 PM

Dead at Ryan nominating Skye for bad manners while he's there picking his nose :/ at least he's pretty I guess... Also, wtf at the power play just being the same as last time, the power theme is a bit shit really.

YASSSS, queen Priya safe <3 I'm hoping for Travis and Lisa, this is not an easy one to call aside from Skye most likely being top of the vote.

Posted by: Aaron. 2nd October 2014, 12:00 PM

This season tho. It just seems that they're throwing everything at it to increase ratings. Live shows. Dogs. Intruders. Double Evictions - the one thing we're not getting. A f***ING PROPER DAILY SHOW.

Monday was an eviction, and we didn't get that much house stuff.
Tuesday again, another eviction.
Wednesday, nominations and intruder.

I always skip through nominations, but it seems that they're throwing stuff in that to justify peoples reasons for their nominations, but I'm missing that stuff.
The editing on BBAU has always been rough, especially right after the weekend or an eviction.. but this year has been especially bad. We literally saw a clip this week from something that happened AGES ago (You can see Gemma in the background). Plus, that whole thing with Skye in the iamspamspamamieating the Jelly, it seemed like it was an after thought to show that as it was part of ANOTHER discussion they wanted to show. But the actually incident itself was more interesting than the people who were sitting there discussing the situation itself drama.gif

It just sucks that in the last 4 days, today is actually the first real uninterrupted Daily Show, and we're probably going to see some of the interesting stuff that happened this week, but they'll have to be mindful not to show anything that would have included Dion or Katie because they're already gone. Plus, Friday's show is all of 20 minutes.

Some Odds:

Winner:
Jason $4.75
Lawson $4.75
Skye $8
Ryan $8
Cat $9
Sandra $10
Leo $10
David $11
Sam $12
Priya $12
Travis $13
Jake $13
Aisha $15
Lisa $17

Great to see Priya improving.

Eviction:

David - 1.85
Lisa - 4.75
Travis - 5.50
Jake - 9.00
Cat - 9.00
Aisha - 10.00
Skye - 15.00

Posted by: Liаm 3rd October 2014, 05:43 PM

I hope they're wrong again sad.gif well half, Lisa going is fine. She doesn't really being much and she isn't that likeable.

Cat is the new HOH! Didn't really expect that, I thought Jason or Lawson might have got it again or maybe Skye. Cat is really growing on me though, she isn't the most exciting person in there but I'm finding her to be really really likeable. Same goes for Aisha.

Posted by: Dillan 5th October 2014, 03:30 PM

Why is Australia loving Cat?!

Posted by: Aaron. 5th October 2014, 08:01 PM

Her winning HOH probably had a lot to do with the poll opening at the end of the episode where she confessed her unconditional love for Lawson.
But we will see..

OOP. Accidently spoiled the first eviction.
Skye safe on 27%, Jake was evicted with 7%.
Amazing result so far!!

Posted by: Liаm 7th October 2014, 08:51 AM

I'm fine with Jake going, he was nice enough but pretty dull. I expected Lisa but I imagine it'll be her tomorrow.

Skye topping the vote <3

Posted by: Aaron. 7th October 2014, 12:07 PM

Annnnnnnd Lisa is gone.

Posted by: Liаm 7th October 2014, 05:56 PM

More than happy with Lisa going, she was so miserable and negative! She was a bit like Tully but less entertaining as she didn't really wind people up like Tully did. The little VT Sonia showed about her "tough love" approach really reminded me what a twat she can be! When she wasn't being horrible, she was invisible for a couple of days laugh.gif

David getting 30% and Aisha being so much more popular than Travis *.* Cat really lost her support since last week (or Sunday even as she was voted head of house), oops laugh.gif

Thoughts on everyone now:

Priya - still queen. So smart and calculated, I just wish she was shown more but she always slays when they show her in the diary room picking things apart. She's by far my favourite.
Aisha - she is flying under the radar a bit but I think she's lovely, really likeable.
David - I absolutely loved him standing up to Lisa! He's way more intriguing than most of the male housemates.
Skye - again, she's lovely! I just find it impossible to not love her, she's so sweet and fun.
Lawson - as I said above, I don't like how
Cat - as with Lawson, she was in the wrong. I do quite like her but she's not that exciting and I've lost some respect for her seeing as she knew
Jason - I'm not a huge fan, but he's harmless.
Sandra - she's the one I'm most unsure of... At times I like her and think she seems quite likeable and down to earth, but also she seems a bit too aligned with Sam and Ryan. But I think that's just because of her crush on Sam.
Travis - meh, he's marginally more interesting than Sam or Ryan but he only really has his looks and the odd bit of humour going for him.
Sam - yawn. Please can he be the Caleb or Matthew of this series?
Ryan - same again. So so dull, when he does speak it's arrogant or rude. Meh. I really fear one of these two will win.
Leo - my god he is SO irritating. I agree with the housemates who've voiced that suspicions about whether he actually is real, idk he just rubs me up the wrong way. He's like that annoying kid at school who went round telling bullshit stories to anyone who'd listen laugh.gif

Posted by: Aaron. 8th October 2014, 12:38 AM

If we're going to lose one Bore-Whore and one somewhat good person each double eviction - keep the doubles coming!
I seriously think that Lisa and Katie could have brought a lot later in the season, but I'm fine that they've left now.. It's opened up the door for a few of my other favorites to last longer.

David: One of my favorites, should last a while.
Jake: It's always funny when your goodbye message has more lines than what you got in the first 22 episodes. Good riddance.
Jason: I like Jason, but we've had winners like him before. He brings absolutely nothing new to the table. He's funny, sure, but we've seen it before.
Lisa: Glad she's gone. She was out for David and Skye, two of my favorites.
Priya: GODDESS. Completely different from what we saw week one and two. Observant. Calculating. Goddess.
Ryan: If he's going to bitch as much as he did in the last episode, he can stay. But I can't help thinking Big Brother shoved him down our throats in the last episode to set him up for something.
Sandra: A lot more tolerable recently actually. I go from hating her to loving her to hating her again. This week I like her.
Skye: Another goddess, but not as much as Priya. She needs to stay away from Leo to avoid being nominated.
Travis: Probably one of my favorite boys anyways, but still.. hit and miss.
Sam: His edit is so inconsistent, but I think that's irrelevant, he's done enough to give him the winners trophy already. Let's just call it a day.
Cat: Loving the drama she's bringing, but as a person I probably would not be able to stand her at all.
Aisha: Ehhhhhhhh. Smile once and a while please.
Lawson: I wouldn't say he's two faced - but he's got his good moments and his dreadful ones. He's having a bad week.
Leo: As a viewer of the show, I actually like him. Good to look at. Hard nips - like that. He just thinks so highly of himself and everything around him.. but if I was in the house I would f***ing hate him. He's pretentious, vapid and self absorbed. But seeing him 10 minutes an episode, max, is fine with me.

Posted by: Aaron. 8th October 2014, 11:45 AM

Lawson, Sandra, Jason, Priya, Travis and Sam are all nominated.
Leo was immune. Ugh.
I think it's a single. Probably between Sandra and Travis this week.
Back on the Cat hate train, she gave 5 points to Priya.
David got 0 points. Skye only got 3.

Posted by: Liаm 8th October 2014, 03:54 PM

I'm thinking Sandra. She doesn't seem to appreciate the experience anyway so I doubt anyone will really care about saving her... At least I hope not. I don't mind her but she doesn't bring a huge amount I think about it. It could be Travis too, he has survived only barely for the last couple of evictions... Ideally it'd be Sam though, him and Ryan are by far the worst there.

I'd take a guess at:
01 Jason
02 Sam
03 Priya
04 Lawson (he could easily be 2nd though still :/)
05 Travis
06 Sandra

It's interesting to see a few new names in the mix! It's harder to call who'll definitely be safe as they haven't faced the vote previously, but I'd be shocked if Jason wasn't first called safe.

Priya MUST stay. If she is evicted when she was only up becsuse cat tried and failed to save Travis then ugh... I can't see it happening though, I agree it's Sandra or Travis. Neither of those would be a huge loss imo.

Posted by: Dillan 8th October 2014, 03:59 PM

Sam - 2.95
Sandra - 3.70
Lawson - 4.00
Travis - 8.00
Priya - 8.00
Jason - 9.00

Omg yes this is pretty much my preferred order but swap Jason and Priya and then swap Sandra and Travis!! So so so so glad Priya looks safe <3 Sam going would be beyond perfect but I won't get ahead of myself and assume it's gonna happen because Priya was 1.80 to go the first time she was up.

Posted by: Liаm 9th October 2014, 06:16 PM

Ryan is becoming AWFUL. Like barely tolerable. When he does actually get screen time it's virtually always when he's moaning or bitching, mostly with Sam :/ He's definitely worse than anyone last series except maybe the sugar sisters and probably most if not all of the 2012 housemates... He's just so offensively boring.

Posted by: Aaron. 9th October 2014, 11:37 PM

Sandra is the favorite to go now. 2.10 to Sam's 3.75.
Priya and Jason also swapped placed - it's like your a psychic, Liam!

Posted by: Liаm 12th October 2014, 12:11 PM

*.* yaaaaass.

----

Lots coming up this week! Another intruder (a female), Ben is coming back (manson.gif) I assume for something like Tim's guest appearance and there's a fake double eviction. One actually is being evicted (I imagine Sandra/Sam) and then one is being fake evicted (PLEASE be Priya, I think it will be Jason though which will mirror it happening to Ben when we could have had Tahan or Mikkayla, as I imagine if will be whoever gets the highest votes to save who is fake evicted).

Tbh with how they're trying to stir things up etc. and how much they're focusing on the Cat/Lawson thing, it honestly would not surprise me if the female intruder was his girlfriend laugh.gif it kind of looks like her in the promo pic (I saw a pic of her on twitter last week), but you can't tell... So we'll have to see. Also, if they're going to bring anyone else back from last year - where is Tahan?! Tbh I'd even rather have Jade than Ben, never got the appeal with him.

Posted by: Aaron. 13th October 2014, 01:15 AM

Hopefully Sam or Jason is fake evicted. I would love for it to be Priya, but it depends.. We didn't see much of Ben last year when he was fake evicted - we did get some funny moments, I dunno.. I think Priya could handle herself well with being fake evicted - but I don't trust BB to really showcase her all that much.

Also, Skye is HOH *_*. Priya for next HOH pls.

Posted by: Liаm 13th October 2014, 02:03 PM

Dunno if anyone is watching Aussie XF but the 3 grand finalists are revealed:

I AM SO PISSED. SERIOUSLY. UGH. Brothers3 are one of the worst acts I have seen on any X Factor (probably as bad as Jai from last year, whereas Reigan has to be one of the best. Absolutely world class! Her and Marlisa being bottom 2 was a joke... I knew Reigan was gone though, I knew if it went to deadlock she'd have been gone. If the final was Marlisa, Dean and Reigan I wouldn't have to worry about who won because they're all just incredible and have been my favourites throughout, but B3 are an absolute embarrassment. I just hope they do a Jai/The Collective and only come 3rd, Dean being bottom 2 was hopefully a shock that makes his fans vote!

Now onto BB Australia for the day! Apparently the intruder is really boring, so Gemma says but she may be bs'ing laugh.gif

This eviction *.* So glad Sam went, he was so dull! I was expecting it to be Sandra but it was close in the end. Lolwut at Travis getting so much more of the vote than even Jason though! When I saw the % without the names at the start of the show, I was convinced Jason would be fake evicted as I couldn't see anyone else having that lead and then I was distracted during the eviction so I didn't actually hear whether Travis' eviction was fake or real at first laugh.gif I guess he has been shown loads and has been a focal point this week so maybe it's not a surprise as such... I was hoping Priya could finish above Jason in the vote but she was close at least tongue.gif

Posted by: Liаm 16th October 2014, 04:20 PM

Priya, Ryan, Sandra, Jason and David are up. Apparently it's another double eviction too? I really hope it's Ryan and Sandra but I can't help but feel Priya's time will be up over Ryan. Sandra will surely almost certainly be the other one though. Ryan really needs to go, he's by far the worst this season.

Aisha was very nearly up too but Skye saved her with the power play <3

Priya really shouldn't be up, Leo of ALL PEOPLE called her boring and Sandra nominated her because she cooked potatoes and Sandra doesn't like potatoes drama.gif BB should not have accepted the latter reason tbh :/ Not that it mattered as Priya was up with the most points anyway but still!

Posted by: Dillan 16th October 2014, 05:48 PM

Priya cannot go! sad.gif

I felt really bad for Skye. Half of the house picks on her for pretty much everything she does.

I'm still shocked at how Travis managed to top the vote..

Posted by: Liаm 16th October 2014, 06:16 PM

Looking at it logically I guess it's unlikely Priya will go, if it's a single then I'm almost certain it will be Sandra. Priya was a fair way above her in the vote this week and Sandra was so close to going... If it is a double surely it will be Ryan too given he only seems to get airtime when he's bitching or moaning, I'll lose faith in the audience if they vote for that drama.gif I would say "maybe he'll get the looks vote" but that didn't work for Dion or Sam thankfully. I'm thinking Jason will top the vote and then David, Priya, Ryan, Sandra.

Skye is just a bit ditzy, she doesn't claim to be Einstein or anything... I don't see how her not being the sharpest tool in the box particularly offends anybody else. I guess I can see why it would be a bit annoying if I was in the house but still it's a bit much. As I doubt Priya will do it, I really hope she wins. I can still see Jason maybe doing a Ben and I really don't see who else could challenge her... I guess perhaps Aisha might be the Jade for this year, I liked Jade but Aisha has the romance thing plus she has a bit more about her than just that (she can be a bit feisty).

Posted by: Liаm 17th October 2014, 05:58 PM

I'm a day behind but GOOD GOD I cannot abide Sandra. She was horribly slappable when she was making that smug face when Skye (rightfully) called her out for having moaning over being up... She's just pressed over the fact that nobody likes her. She's reminding me a bit of how Heidi from last year was towards the end of her stay, she comes across a bit of a bitch with her little expressions and nasty remarks. Ryan isn't much better, I hope to god they go if it's a double (it'll almost certainly be Sandra if it's a single as I said).

Skye didn't even do anything! Like I said, her being a bit ditzy hardly affects anybody else negatively. Plus it's not as if the others didn't have to nominate as well, they just happened to have seen hers...

Marlisa just won X Factor wub.gif Perfect top 2, and amazing winner!

Yet to see BBAU eviction but I'm nervous for Priya :/

Posted by: Dillan 20th October 2014, 06:48 PM

^ Eviction is tomorrow.

The whole Lawson and Cat thing is just making me want to throw up. Ugh. sick2.gif

YES at Priya being HOH.

Posted by: Liаm 20th October 2014, 08:35 PM

Ah I've seen today's now! I just assumed it was today, another day of Sandra then sleep.gif She is really really riling me recently. She's just becoming more and more like a year 9 girl who hangs around with year 11 hot guys once and acts like she's it. I really don't like the little clique of her, Ryan and David, it's making me dislike the latter. Cat and Lawson are really doing themselves no favours drama.gif I have little respect for them left... I felt a bit sorry for both of them before because they did only go in the Sanctuary and nothing really happened but they really should have just left it alone there :/ Like wtf, one minute they're resolving to stay away and then he's essentially dumping his girlfriend on TV... Cat would have been a contender to win maybe in a Jade way if this hadn't happened... It's such a mess but entertaining to watch laugh.gif

Priya being HOH is epic, seals her safety tomorrow seeing as she was voted HOH biggrin.gif if it's a single, it'll be Sandra, a double will be Sandra and Ryan I imagine. Then again Lawson has been such a f***ing douche he deserves to go, but with such a focus I can't see it... Perfect either way biggrin.gif LOVE the task too!

EDIT: disregard that, completely Lawson wasn't even up laugh.gif it's certainly Sandra and then Ryan too if it's a double.

It was so sweet, she's said before how Jess is an idol of hers <3 It seemed and felt like a "real" duet, not just one shoehorned in for a TV show (same goes for Dean and Olly tbf) - they both clearly really enjoyed it and gave it their all, plus Jess was lovely as ever wub.gif

Ryan got the most votes?! ohmy.gif

Posted by: Liаm 21st October 2014, 08:43 PM

f***ING RYAN topped the vote. RYAN. RYAN. I honestly can't. I thought the "he iz so fit!!1!1!1 " vote wasn't working this year what with Dion and to a lesser extent Sam going but clearly so. I can't think of why else he'd top the vote, what a horrible, miserable man. I had a horrible feeling he'd be top of the vote though.... He did f all for like a month and now he's just being bitchy and nasty and miserable. I would have understood if he was just about top of the vote, but it was by 20% over Jason and Priya of all people!!

Thank god Sandra still went, she looked happier than she's been in the house the whole time when she opened the gate to go I swear laugh.gif

I'm so worried Priya will go sad.gif if Ryan topped the vote, I can't see David coming second last. He's more interesting and intriguing anyway imo. But we'll see, Jason could do a Ben I guess... I kind of hope Aisha and Travis do take the money although I love Aisha so Priya is definitely safe! But we'll see, eek.

YAAAAAAS AT PRIYA STAYING yahoo.gif

Posted by: Liаm 22nd October 2014, 02:32 PM

Yaaaasss slay queen *.* so close though! I am still absolutely baffled and infuriated at Ryan being 20% in front of her, Jason and David though! Honestly, I have no idea who's voting... I liked Jason but he's not a huge loss. To me he's like a less annoying version of Ben, initially had him pegged as a probable winner but I didn't see the massive fuss.

Surely Skye has the win on lock? I can't see anyone else challenging... I hope so anyway. Priya would be ideal but I think she'll do a Mikkayla so she has a couple weeks left in her really sad.gif Those two and Aisha are the only ones I properly like now tbh. Travis and Marina ok I guess.

Posted by: Aaron. 23rd October 2014, 02:30 AM

I'm about a week behind - but caught up on the evictions.
Ryan topping the vote to save.. and by a big margin? What?

Also, shocked that Sam went and now Jason? This really opens it up. I'm kind of happy with that.

Got I wish this was BBUK. Cat would get such a lashing.

Posted by: Liаm 23rd October 2014, 11:44 PM

Skye, Travis, Marina, Leo, David, Cat and Priya are all up this week. Queen Priya should be safe then, I imagine it'll be Marina as she's barely been shown (honestly her only proper memorable moment was when her dog died and she cried for a bit!!) or possibly Cat due to the backlash and maybe Leo. I'm ASTOUNDED so many people are up and yet Lawson is still safe though laugh.gif So the two worst housemates are safe, but also Aisha <3

If it's a double (I'm not sure, every single eviction so far has been a double so surely we're due a single) it could really be any of them except Skye or Travis to be honest, depending on what happens this week and what's shown...

Ranking of the remaining housemates:

01 Priya (GODDESS. So smart and calculated, I love how cool and collected she is too. I really thought she'd be hot headed and argumentative but she's amazing in a totally different way to the one we all expected)
02 Skye (such a babe <3 She's just so lovely and bubbly and fun, impossible to dislike)
03 Aisha (she seems so level headed and quite sensible most of the time, lovely girl too)
04 Travis (really nice guy, I can see why living with him would be annoying but he's funny at times without being a dick about it. He's not the greatest housemate ever but he's a bit of light relief and he hasn't really got a nasty bone in his body)
05 Marina (nice enough but dull, she's just higher than most becsuse she's yet to annoy me, although I did think she was playing it up a bit with the OTT when her dog died! I do understand she loved the dog though so she was probably just really upset)
06 Leo (dull as f*** but droooool. As with Marina, he's done little to annoy me compared to the others)
07 David (gorgeous but he's totally ruined by the horrific alliance with Sandra and Ryan. Awful little clique. He was quite with and observant before but he's taking on some of Ryan's bad attributes - thankfully to a much lesser extent)
08 Cat (reality TV suicide at its finest. I've said this before, but she could have done a Jade and made the final if it want for "Clawson"... I think he's "more" in the wrong for basically dumping his gf on TV but she knew he had a girlfriend and still won't leave him alone. I mean Sandra liked Sam, but she knew he had a gf so left him alone. It didn't harm her much, except helping to make her a miserable and dull waste of a housemate, which is still better than the embarrassment Cat's brought upon herself)
09 Lawson (absolute tool. I just can't at his fake crying the day after he dumped Candice on TV and basically snogged Cat's face off... You've made your bed by being a twat, so lie in it. He can't have Cat on the inside as a substitute for Candice and expect to still have Candice there when he gets out as if he hasn't cheated on her in front of a million people)
10 Ryan (god I DESPISE him, moreso than Lawson. It's mostly the irony that most of his airtime consists of him telling anyone who'll listen how boring Priya is, and yet he was shown for all about 5 minutes up until like week 4 and even now he's only shown when he's miserable or bitching with his little crew. Worst housemate I've ever seen on Aussie BB I think, I know they've had some real dullards like Madline and Nathan from last series and that Zoe girl who somehow made it to the final in 2012, but he's just insufferable)

Posted by: Dillan 23rd October 2014, 11:50 PM

Leo and that new girl, who I don't even know her name, will probably go.

Posted by: Liаm 24th October 2014, 12:15 AM

Odds:

2.25 Marina
3.75 Leo
4.50 Cat
5.00 Travis
8.00 David
11.00 Priya
16.00 Skye

That seems quite short for Travis, but it's fab Priya looks safe! Not that they always get it right but still.

Wtf, there are FOUR new housemates ("Powerhouse Players") going in on Monday?! Seriously? We get four shows a week, it's past halfway and we barely know anything about Marina as it is, why more intruders? drama.gif It would be amazing if one of them was Candice (Lawson's gf) but I doubt it haha.

It's probably going to make them worse surely? laugh.gif Like I said, we still haven't properly got to know Marina as there's only four shows a week and she's never even shown - imagine that times four?! It just makes it seem like a mess. I guess chucking Candice in would be a desperate yet maybe good attempt at getting ratings, please happen!!

Posted by: Aaron. 25th October 2014, 01:04 AM

I'm just about done with this season.
Are you serious?! 4 more housemates?!
It would be fine if they had the intention of extending this season - but we're halfway through and still have 11(?) housemates?

This show is on 4 nights a week now.. they cancelled Sunday and Friday.. so it's only on Monday - Thursday. If we have a double spread over 2 nights and a live nomination show - that leaves 1 night with an actual DAILY show. There's not a lot of new footage shown on the Eviction/Nominations shows.

UGH.

But I have heard Lawson's girlfriend is going in. That's bound to be juicy. If she's likeable.. maybe the first Intruder Winner?

Posted by: Liаm 25th October 2014, 01:15 AM

If they're likeable, I could maybe get behind the idea... I mean there's only Priya, Skye and Aisha left for me, maybe Travis as he's quite likeable/a nice guy - he's just quite annoying. Any of the others would be shit winners. But even if they are likeable, with just one proper highlights show a week there's no way we'll get to see that when we're past the halfway point.

Posted by: Aaron. 25th October 2014, 01:19 PM

I'm on the Leo like wagon, don't love him like Skye or Priya, but I do enjoy him. He needs to stop nominating Priya tho.
Also, what was with Cat's tantrum over not being able to pick her outfit? Seriously!
She just walks in and does this mix of telling people off while starting to cry? She's supposed to be 30. She's acting like more of a child than Skye.

Sandra didn't handle that much better.. walks away calmly... WOAH!!!!!!! and tells David (i think..) that it was an attack on her? It wasn't even targetted at her! Cat just walked in and directed it at everyone.. it was Sandra that chose to walk away.

Also the editing on that episode was horrible. It was day, than night, than day - but I assume was supposed to be all the same day - but it wasn't! Infact I saw Sam in the background of one of the clips they showed.... he was evicted a week before that....

OH MY GOD I'M GONE HAHAHA

Posted by: Aaron. 25th October 2014, 07:45 PM

Just finished watching The Block Australia, and all I can say is wow - I'm pretty sure they won't be trying to sell multi million dollar apartments next year.
What happens is the contestants win whatever the highest bid is off the reserve (market) price of the apartment. Last year this worked insanely well. This year, not so much.

Last Years Results (what the apartments sold over the reserve, and what the contestants took home):

1st Place: $636,000
2nd Place: $616,000
3rd Place: $567,250
4th Place: $507,250

Everyone took home over $500,000

This Years Results:

1st Place: $335,000
2nd Place: $310,000
3rd Place: $40,000
4th Place: $10,000
5th Place: $10,000*

* The couple that finished 5th however wanted to pull back their apartment and list it on their own because initially when it went to action it was selling under the market price and nobody was bidding. However, last minute someone put in a bid just over the reserve so they legally had to sell the property.

Such a shame for these couples, especially 3rd - 5th place. They took months off work under the assumption that they'd be clearing over probably $200,000 (that's the minimum anyone has taken in the last 2 series). They managed the outcome fairly poorly on the show.. the two presenters basically were dumbfounded and couldn't explain anything. The couple that finished in 4th essentially walked off the show and refused to be interviewed.

These are the new HMs:

http://i58.tinypic.com/os7ic4.jpg

Richard ("The Brain"), Penny ("The Body"), Tom ("The Heart") and Lina ("The Soul"). Damn, Lawson's gf is called Candice so there's my hope of this actually working tongue.gif it's just gonna be a mess so late in with that many newbies when we haven't got to know Marina yet (and I think it's only a single so actually she's gonna go for sure I imagine, which will porbbslt happen to one or two of these as we won't get to know them.

HOW DID PRIYA ONLY GET 10%?!
HOW DID CAT AND LEO BEAT HER?!

Posted by: Liаm 28th October 2014, 07:44 PM

laugh.gif at poor Marina only on 3%! Tbf they barely showed her, especially with the Friday show being cut... I knew she would go but awks at the gap between even her and Priya!

I'm baffled at Priya that low :/ She is definitely gone next week as it'll be a double :(If Cat got the votes then I can't help but think Lawson will too. I guess at least there was only a few % between her and David so she could be ok

I imagine the votes will be something like:
Skye
Ryan
Travis
Aisha
David
Lawson
Cat
Leo
Priya

Tbf I think any of the bottom four could go... Priya/Leo are most likely though. If Ryan gets more votes than Skye I actually despair. I hope they don't reveal it though, it would make the whole competition more obvious. Right now I can only see Skye or Ryan winning, and the latter would probably be worse than Helen Wood as a winner! He is so damn punchable :/

As for the new intruders, all I'm seeing is Lina = Boog / Penny = Madaline laugh.gif

Posted by: Dillan 28th October 2014, 08:29 PM

Priya getting 10% worries me, however, I'm hoping her fans will see this as a wake up call and will vote for her a lot next week.

I'm happy with what Ryan did, he separated the annoying couples.

Posted by: Aaron. 31st October 2014, 01:15 PM

ODDS!

Winner:

Ryan: 2.90
Skye: 3.25
Travis: 7.50
David: 10.00
Penny: 11.00
Richard: 13.00
Lawson: 15.00
Priya: 15.00
Aisha: 18.00
Lina: 19.00
Tom: 22.00
Cat: 31.00
Leo: 34.00

Eviction:

Lawson: 1.85
Aisha: 2.50
Leo: 5.00
Priya: 9.00
Cat: 12.00
David: 19.00
Travis: 26.00
Ryan: 34.00
Skye: 41.00

How is Ryan a favorite!? Why is Lina so low?!

Posted by: Liаm 31st October 2014, 08:24 PM

I am really beginning to see Ryan winning... Tonnes of people don't want him to, he's horrible but he's a bit like Helen from BBUK in that I'm really starting to get the feeling sad.gif I'd honestly rather have any of the others than him, he is the worst Australian hohsemate I have ever seen for sure. It's going to be a horrific final anyway, I think I'll only like Travis/Skye of the realistic options.

If Aisha goes... :/

Posted by: Aaron. 31st October 2014, 11:45 PM

Although I don't disagree with the Ryan Hate-On, I've seen enough in the last 2 weeks to give him some support. Splitting up the couples is Top 6 Worthy alone* (as long as he is not taking a spot away from Priya or Skye).
I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot, but the only moment I really had any distaste for Ryan was when he was talking down to Skye. The rest of the time that he has been shown he's almost been a little bitchy, which I do like. Alas, we can't forget the horrible mis-managment of Big Brother's editing crew this year for perhaps not giving him the lime light he deserved. But who's to say really.

In my opinion, I've seen worst housemates than Ryan.. A few examples would be Zoe (BB9), Joel (BB7), Hotdogs (BB5) and Merlin (BB4). None of these people in my eyes had any redeeming qualities and I way praying for these people to leave.

* I don't want to forget a few of the already evicted housemates, Katie and Lisa deserved to at least out last him, but didn't.

Posted by: Liаm 31st October 2014, 11:53 PM

I've only seen Bb7, BB9 and obviously 10 and 11 tongue.gif I can't even remember Zoe? laugh.gif was she the big-ish girl who came like 5th because she was never really up for eviction, and she had a thing for George? Yeah she was hella boring and made me cringe a bit if I'm thinking of the right girl! I also couldn't stand the Mormon from BB7 (Kate or something?) off the top of my head but that was really one of those irrational annoyances.

But idk Ryan just really rubs me up the wrong way :/ He's got such a punchable face and I just find it really hard to like him even a bit personally. Like you say though it may just be the editing, with so litle that we see it may be the case that he only makes a couple of bitchy comments a day or a week but that's all we see so he comes across that way. But from what we see, which is really all I can judge on, I just can't stand him.

Posted by: Liаm 1st November 2014, 10:55 PM

I mean I guess it could be anyone out of Leo, Aisha, Lawson, Cat and Priya, but Leo and cat both got higher than Priya last time and I don't think they've been shown in a particularly different light since then so I can't see why Priya would leapfrog them both... sad.gif I guess all we can hope is that Priya's fans really woke up and voted in their droves.

Lawson Evicted. Priya Safe. Double eviction coming between Cat, Travis, Aisha and Leo. WE DID IT! PRIYA IS SAFE!

Posted by: Liаm 3rd November 2014, 05:29 PM

I screamed omfg, I haven't been so happy at anything all series biggrin.gif I was so sure she'd be gone, so for her to be top 4 even is amazing! I'm so shocked but so happy. David and Ryan are horrific though, I have a horrible feeling one of them are going to win sad.gif it'll be definitely be out of them and Skye, I think maybe Lina would have challenged if she was an original housemate - I love her!

I'm thinking Cat and Leo will go tomorrow but it could be Aisha sad.gif "Someone will be waiting for Cat on stage", omg imagine Candice *.* laugh.gif

Lawson's interview though! He was like a naughty child in the headmaster's office, I'm glad Sonia didn't go too easy on him either (although she managed to not be too biased).

Posted by: Aaron. 4th November 2014, 01:07 PM

Aisha and Cat evicted. Leo and Travis survive.

Posted by: Dillan 4th November 2014, 06:07 PM

I also screamed when Priya was in the top 4! laugh.gif

Posted by: Liаm 4th November 2014, 08:46 PM

Leo safe?! Really?! Who on earth is voting for him drama.gif he's not even that hot or anything... He's just so so dull, and pathetic when he went off on one over the noodles and then just because Skye didn't choose him to come over from next door.

f***ing GUTTED for Aisha sad.gif She was lovely! I guess her and Travis were a bit annoying together, but nowhere near as bad as Cat and Lawson for example. She reminded me a bit of Jade, a bit annoying in her relationship in the house, but lovely and such a nice girl. Not bothered about Cat really, she may have been ok with Lawson gone but I guess she did deserve to go. Now I only properly like Priya, Skye and Lina, maybe Richard and Travis... Penny is SO annoying, she's like an OTT pastiche of Skye in many ways... Leo and the two male intruders seem really boring, and David and Ryan are just awful.

Ranking:

01 Priya (still the queen. Hoping she makes the final but I think she'll do a Mikkayla and run out of steam soon sad.gif)
---
02 Skye (I'm still laughing at her "your girlfriend" line when Lawson asked who he'd been nasty to, amazing)
03 Lina (she seems great! I need to see more but she really intrigues me and seems like a great player)
----
04 Richard (he seems quite interesting, not sure exactly what to think but he hasn't irked me)
05 Travis (he's like a big kid, but harmless and funny at times)
06 Penny (like I said, irritating as f*** but I guess at least she's funny)
07 Tom (dull as f*** thus far, I get nathan teas. He even looks a bit like him laugh.gif)
08 Leo (again, dull as anything and generally quite self centred and irritating)
09 David (twat.)
10 Ryan (how can someone who gets so much airtime be so boring?!)

Ryan is so winning this isn't he? sad.gif

Posted by: Liаm 6th November 2014, 11:21 AM

Everyone except Priya (yaaaassss), David, Lina and Travis are nominated! It will obviously be either Leo, Richard or penny... I'm thinking richard. Then Leo too if it's a double.

Posted by: Dillan 6th November 2014, 11:31 PM

I'm thinking it's between Tom and Richard. SO HAPPY that Priya is safe!

I dislike David so much. Ugh.

Posted by: Aaron. 7th November 2014, 03:24 PM

Yeah, starting to get my hate on for David as well.
I'm actually liking Richard, if it's a double I'm hoping it's Tom and Penny.

Interesting, Leo has now been a housemate longer than Sam was (at least, the amount of days spent in the house). Should he survive this eviction, he also outranks Jason as far as duration goes.

Posted by: Aaron. 11th November 2014, 02:25 AM

Current Eviction Odds:

Tom: 1.50
Leo: 3.90
Penny 6.00
Richard: 7.00
Ryan: 21.00
Skye: 29.00

Tom's odds really took a nose dive after this last episode, however - it's a vote to save, so any show time is good show time really, especially right before an eviction (I can't remember if they do this on Tuesdays or Wednesdays now).

Richard Evicted, but not before making Skye sweat. She was in the bottom two (reveal to save, not the actual vote) and she did not look happy. Family nominations are coming. 14 Days Left!

Posted by: Liаm 12th November 2014, 05:53 PM

Two such pointless evictions. I always knew if would happen, but I wanted a shock (ie Ryan, if couldn't have been Skye! I'm almost certain she would have been top 2, they obviously just wanted to see her sweat it out a bit given her overt confidence) laugh.gif oh well. This is still Skye's or Ryan's to lose, fingers crossed Priya and Lina make the final but I'm unsure in both cases.

I've all but given up on this season, I'll finish it - but not one of my favorites.
Went reminising with past seasons tonight and came across this gem. I remember watching this as it was happening and my jaw nearly dropped.
BB4 is seen by some as a weaker season, but I actually think it was one of the best seasons. We had the Merlin incident. Paul/Merlin's fight night, Bree's accidental eviction and return, Ashleigh who was on a level of her own and probably one of the most solid Top 4 housemates - nobody could really call the winner (except the winner was kind of obvious).

Posted by: Liаm 13th November 2014, 03:30 PM

I am the same with this series... I'm not going to quit but it's a bit of a chore to watch most of the time? :/ Like I've said a few times, over the past few weeks I've only really liked Skye, Priya and Aisha and obviously the latter went. I would add Lina but we still haven't really got know her too much (and we didn't get to know Tom or Richard enough). I feel like we've had enough of Penny (enough to realise how annoying she is!!) though. I could see Penny doing a Boog though to be honest.

I think a huge factor is how little we get to see, there are less highlights shows but most weeks have a double eviction and of course nominations, so we just don't get enough time to see everything. Not that I imagine we're missing much, I think the public made mistakes kicking out Katie and Lisa so early in hindsight... I know there is stuff being stirred with Ryan and David still in there, but it's all tedious :/ It's just the same argument worded slightly differently most of the time.

Posted by: Aaron. 13th November 2014, 04:39 PM

Nominations Spoiler: David, Leo, Priya, Ryan and Skye are all nominated.
So that basically means Penny and Lina are safe....... holy crap! Travis as well.
Skye and Priya received 3 penalty nominations for convincing Travis to tell them about his Power Play.
It's a double too.. eek.. We're going to lose a big player this week for sure.

Posted by: Dillan 14th November 2014, 04:11 PM

Worried for Priya if it's a double.

Posted by: Aaron. 14th November 2014, 04:55 PM

Ryan Goldman (Narrator, he's also on the eviction shows) was quoted to saying that this was a Triple Eviction (with just the people up).
Promos however still say double. Better just be a double.

Posted by: Aaron. 17th November 2014, 04:38 PM

Leo Evicted.
Priya looked beautiful tonight - she didn't do her eye makeup as heavy as she usually does. She looks heaps younger.

Posted by: Aaron. 18th November 2014, 06:42 PM

David evicted.
Priya and Skye are both in the final week!!!

Posted by: Garyy 19th November 2014, 04:16 AM

HAIL PREESUS

Posted by: Liаm 19th November 2014, 03:25 PM

I predict:

01 Ryan sad.gif
02 Skye
03 Travis
04 Priya
05 Penny
06 Lina

Tbf though, the top 3 could go any way I think. Priya should win but 4th is amazing given she was so close to being evicted a couple of times (I know she had 7% over Marina the week that Marina was evicted but still)! Priya, Skye and probably even Travis tbf would be good winners, the first two would be amazing but I'd settle for Travis given how subpar this series has been.

If it were up to me:

01 Priya
02 Skye
03 Travis
04 Lina
05 Penny
06 Ryan

Posted by: Aaron. 19th November 2014, 05:25 PM

I'd agree with your predictions, the top 3 are pretty interchangeable. Here's what I'd like to see happen:

6th - Lina: SHOCK! Ryan isn't out first. Lina was actually one of my favorite intruders/HMs next door, but in the last week she has become pretty unbearable. She has this omen of negativity that seems to surround her at all times. Take this last episode, sitting back drinking tea with Priya while the other 4 had fun. This house is all about dynamics, guaranteed that had she not been there Priya would have gone out and had fun. Get Lina Out!

5th - Ryan: I've actually given Ryan quite a bit of credit. We code him as boring but I have also blamed the Big Brother editing crew for this. However, 74 days (or something like that), I actually don't know anything more about Ryan than when he first entered the house. Dude's got a sick body but how am I just noticing this with a week to go? His face/hair however, no thank you. I think a lot of us question why he's a favorite to win - but after reviewing/remembering all past Big Brother winners, there is no shock here. If this however is the last Big Brother Australia season OF ALL TIME - we need a memorable winner and this is not Ryan.

4th - Penny: Everything I've seen from Penny I actually quite enjoy! However I do see why they didn't cast her and Skye at the same time. Other than going in there and looking to have a good time, I don't have much more to say about Penny. It's a personal preference, she's been alright and I'd like to see her beat out the other two.

3rd - Travis: It was really close between 2nd/3rd in my mind actually. I think if anything over the last two weeks Travis has gone down in my estimation. Again, probably down to editing and not being shown as much. I'm happy to see after being nominated week after week after week, he was safe the last two weeks. I'd like to say I didn't understand the housemates distaste for Travis - but I kind of do. I think he would probably grate me as a housemate, but if he ever went in for a kiss with me all would be forgiven.

2nd - Priya: Fan since before the show even started with her VT! I'm shocked Priya made it this far, but I think her online support is almost stronger than anyone. I don't think she will win but I am interested to see where she lands. We've seen many sides to Priya - Vulnerable Priya (my favorite), Strategy Priya, Bitchy Priya and Fun Priya. I think overall her downfall is going to be her talking about housemates behind their back. We've seen her do this on numerous occasions to pretty much everyone, especially in this last week with Lina. This was Priya's time to really show her vulnerable/fun side, but she's not living up to this and I think she's flushing her game down the toilet.

Winner - Skye! By far the most relevant housemate this year. Looking back, almost every story-line at some point loops back to Skye. Her/David not getting along. Her/Ryan not getting along, than getting along and having a crush. Even Aisha/Travis' relationship had elements of Skye being the BFF. Again I go back to what I say with Ryan - she's not the traditional Australian Big Brother winner, so I don't actually think she will win. Does she deserve to win though? Absolutely.
I think the one thing that will let Skye down, clearly was her cockiness. She could have covered this really well with HAVING to back herself because who else will - but we've seen a negative edit from Skye recently by being so arrogant.

Holistically, I know we've said this has been a very poor season of Big Brother. I've seen every season bar Season 1 - and this is by far the weakest. The only way to redeem this season would be to have either Travis, Priya or Skye win in my books. You will always go back and remember the season by it's winner. In 5 years from now, if I was to remember this season as the "Season Ryan Won" - I think I'd be pissed.

Well. Travis isn't winning I guess.

Posted by: Aaron. 25th November 2014, 08:06 PM

Priya 4th.

Posted by: Dillan 25th November 2014, 08:51 PM

Ugh, well I didn't think she was going to win but I was hoping she would make top 3. Such a fantastic HM.

Skye to win now!

Posted by: Liаm 25th November 2014, 09:18 PM

Considering she was close to being evicted a couple of times, I'm ecstatic with 4th! Just wish she was top 3 (well, she should have been the winner by far) but I knew it was coming. And if this was the UK version, she'd have been lucky to last as long as Lisa/Katie did probably laugh.gif

I'll more than happy with Travis winning, he's a lovely bloke at the end of the day and very funny. Heart of gold. Skye is my pick though! Just please not Ryan. He did literally nothing for like four weeks and then he was boring as f*** still anyway. Could be any of them to win but I'm thinking Ryan will, with Travis second and Skye third.

Posted by: Aaron. 25th November 2014, 09:21 PM

Still obviously hoping for a Skye win, but I would be happy with Travis.

Posted by: Liаm 26th November 2014, 04:18 PM

So that's that done.

Aside from the intruders/neighbours, literally the worst possible winner. I just don't see the appeal, he's so so boring! It was a pretty crap series so I guess it's symbolic tongue.gif

Posted by: . nesu 26th November 2014, 04:23 PM

At least it was kinda close. 36 - 33 - 31

Posted by: Liаm 26th November 2014, 04:25 PM

That makes it worse sad.gif Travis was just a few percent from being a decent winner. Queen Skye would have been perfect but oh well. This is the weakest of the series I've seen anyway, I've seen 2007 and 2012-14. Although Prisus is one of my all time favourite housemates in any series WW.

2013 >>>> wub.gif Tahan and Mikkayla <3

My housemate rank:

01 Priya (goddess of everything)
02 Skye (such a lovely, fun, bubbly girl! She entertained me everytime she was on screen)
03 Aisha (such a genuinely lovely girl, she definitely fully deserved the £20k she got)
04 Travis (lovely bloke underneath the loud and annoying exterior, wouldn't hurt a fly)
05 Jason (overrated, but he was a fun guy and should have lasted longer. I knew he'd be the Ben of this series though)
06 David (bit of a knob, but I think the series would be dull without him, like Priya he stirred a lot)
07 Katie (evicted way too early, I expect I would have hated her if she lasted too much longer but she would have brought drama)
08 Lisa (she was quite miserable at times, but she had definite potential)
09 Gemma (she was horrendously irritating but looking back I loved her winding everyone up laugh.gif)
10 Marina (I think she seemed fun, as with so many intruders like Boog for example she could have been an amazing HM given enough time)
11 Cat (she could have done a Jade if not for the Clawson thing tbh)
12 Dion (hot asf but equally dull)
13 Penny (she was irritating and like a second rate Skye but fun enough)
14 Jake (he seemed nice and fun enough but not my kind of housemate really)
15 Leo (he was such an odd guy, very bratty a lot too - for example when he had to live on noodles for like a day. GOD FORBID)
16 Lina (a bit of a waste, she would have been better if she was in earlier I expect)
17 Ryan (I guess he MOSTLY nice... Just dull asf imo, never saw any appeal)
18 Richard (token dull intruder)
19 Sam (meh)
20 Lawson (liked him pre-Clawson, but obviously he's a bit of a knob)
21 Tom (definitely the most non-descript one this year)
22 Sandra (she was unbearable for the last week or two she was there, she has such a punchable face)

Ok maybe Ryan wasn't literally the WORST possible winner, but still pretty crap.

Posted by: Aaron. 26th November 2014, 07:09 PM

UGH. Cannot believe this. What has Ryan done to win?! Seriously!?

My Ranking (Based on holistic series and feelings as of right now, may or may not match my Final Housemate Rankings wink.gif )

01. Skye - TRU WINNER. I hate how she lost it over the last few weeks, she would have been an amazing winner.
02. Priya - LOVED HER FROM HER VT. I think she would have been an amazing winner, proud of her for coming 4th. PRISUS.
03. Travis - He was alright. Sucks that someone I deem as "alright" is in the Top 5 however.
04. Leo - I actually liked Leo. He was soooo moody it was great to watch.
05. David - Stronger in the beginning and almost unbearable towards the end.
06. Cat - CRYING FOR NO REASON should have been her eviction song.
07. Lawson - Skeeze.
08. Jason - Still shocked he was evicted so early. He actually would have been a predictable but better winner than Ryan had he survived.
09. Katie - Poor Katie. She was Double Evicted, right? Shame she, like many others, lost their positions because of Big Brother's inability to stay on a proper schedule.
10. Aisha - Sweet, unthreatening. I think she would have been a fantastic winner/housemate had the production of this series been up to scratch, I see a lot of redeeming qualities in Aisha.
11. Penny - A few things bothered me, but overall she was alright?
12. Lisa - A poor man's Katie I think. She clearly had vendettas against a few people for no good reason at all, but still good to watch.
13. Richard - I ACTUALLY LIKED RICHARD. Harry Potter FTW (except not)
14. Ryan - Winner doesn't even crack the Top 10? Signs of a shit series really. He didn't really..... do anything? Slightly bitchy at times which I appreciate, but not shown enough to grant a Top 10.
15. Lina - Pretty. f***ing. Unbearable.
16. Sandra - Sandra was another one of my favorites from day dot. Shame she went in there and was unbearable.
17. Gemma - Had potential based on her VT and did not deliver at all.
18. Sam - Still the most shocking eviction to me. It was good to see the Australian Public evict housemates who weren't doing anything (sans Ryan) but I think out of all the borewhores, he was maybe the most enjoyable?
19. Tom - lol the intruder Big Brother forgot to show until his eviction.
20. Marina - lol the intruder we all forgot.
21. Dion - Other than a hot body I don't remember anything.
22. Jake - Soooooo happy he was evicted so early.

Posted by: Aaron. 26th November 2014, 07:26 PM

Big Brother Winners Ranking:

01. Regina Bird (Season 3) - By far the BEST Big Brother Australia Winner. Such a tearful moment!
02. Tim Dormer (Season 10) - Well Deserved.
03. Aleisha Cowcher (Season 7) - Another one of my favorite seasons, however the runner up really should have won. Sooooo close!
04. Trevor Butler (Season 4) - MY favorite season. I would have preferred a few people to win over him, but still a decent winner.
05. Benjamin Norris (Season 9) - I appreciate the cattiness.
06. Jamie Brooksby (Season 6) - Only won because of his massive dick. So monotoned it was annoying.
07. "The Logans" (Season 5) - One Good Twin, One Evil Twin. Good to see the Good Twin won, but even as seperates or a whole, not the best winner.
08. Peter Corbett (Season 2) - So many other people should have won this season.
09. Ryan Ginns (Season 11) - Ugh.
10. Terri Munro (Season 8) - RIGGED!

*Did not watch Season 1.

Posted by: ROBOT 26th November 2014, 08:22 PM

Gutted for Skye even though I only saw the first week, haha! But her eviction when she was screaming and running through the crowd flicking her hair everywhere was absolute LIFE.

Posted by: Liаm 26th November 2014, 08:28 PM

I agree completely about the production! Aisha easily could have done a jade I think in a "normal" series and I think she could have gone one better even. Jade was a lovely, sweet girl but she was a bit wet. Aisha didn't really have that, for example in that argument with Lawson weeks ago she could stand her ground as well as the next person. I just think Nine treated it a bit like a soap, they were so focused on the romances as well as various conflicts they didn't show everyone's full potential. Aisha was just typecast as Travis' girlfriend and so that was a lot of what we saw from her.

I can't rank the winners due to not watching them all but I HATED Terri. I did try and watch some of 2008 but I got to where she was put back in as a "chaperone" for the guest or whatever it was that happened, and she put me off again laugh.gif I thought "oh god what" in the first place when I saw her VT where she just spaffed over Pauline Hanson for a minute and a half though so I didn't expect to like her laugh.gif How on EARTH did she ever win? Just about worse than Ryan I agree.

Aleisha and Tim were great winners, I would have chosen Tahan for 2013's winner but nobody can deny Tim that win. Ben was ok, in this season for example I would have fine with him winning but I definitely would have chosen Layla and Estelle over him.

My top 10 housemates from what I've seen would be:

01 Tahan (BB10)
02 Priya (BB11) - virtually inseparable in all their amazingness <3 queens.
03 Layla (BB9)
04 Skye (BB11)
05 Tim (BB10)
06 Mikkayla (BB10)
07 Aleisha (BB7)
08 Estelle (BB9)
09 Aisha (BB11)
10 Zac (BB7)

Or something like that. I'm going to watch some of the series I haven't seen soon I think given I now have a BB void left unfilled until January's Celeb Big Brother starts over here laugh.gif

Posted by: Aaron. 26th November 2014, 08:51 PM

My top 3 Housemates would be:

Bree Amer (Big Brother 4)
Emma Cornell (Big Brother 7)
Brigitte Stavaruk (Big Brother 8)

I'd probably throw Camilla and Vesna in there as well. So many great housemates that never won. They shit all over everyone this season with exception of Priya and Skye.

Reverting this back to Australian Reality TV Show Topic.
Australian IACGMOOH starts tonight - Rumors have Chrissie Swan (former Big Brother Australia Housemate/Finalist) and Melissa Joan Hart appearing.
The Block also started up again, but I'm going to pass on watching both.

My Kitch Rules starts next week (I believe) which I will be watching - and implore you guys to watch as well (It's fantastic!)

Posted by: Liаm 1st February 2015, 08:08 PM

Can't wait for I'm A Celeb, doubt I will know many of them but hopefully there's an ex-BB star I know (I love Chrissie) and maybe a singer I know, perhaps a Home and Away hottie or two. Can't be any worse than our version anyway laugh.gif

EDIT: This article has most, if not all, of the line-up. Of this article I only know Chrissie laugh.gif

Posted by: Aaron. 1st February 2015, 08:26 PM

HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW MELISSA JOAN HEART (if she's on the article, that is).
I also loved Chrissie, she was the perfect runner up.

Posted by: Liаm 1st February 2015, 08:28 PM

I do know her tongue.gif She's not in that article. But maybe they're keeping her "secret" or she's just not on there laugh.gif

Little bit addicted to MKR Season 4.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSs
Finally. Someone that watches MKR.
But not the current season cry.gif

Season 4 was the best however (from what I've seen anyways). Ashlee and Sophia LIFE.

Posted by: Silas 26th April 2015, 07:44 PM

It's currently airing on Sky Living over here so it was on the other day and I was like sure, why not. One of my friends loves it.

The MKR truck was in Brisbane in Nov2013 when I was there.

Posted by: Liаm 8th August 2015, 04:40 PM

Sadly it seems pretty much certain BBAU will not be coming back sad.gif They're dismantling the house in Dreamworld. Not a surprise but still pretty devastating that it won't be returning and it ended on SUCH a low with the last season.

They handled it SO badly that the ratings beng awful was all expected. There were no update on social media through the day, limited shows in the week... Some weeks we just got two proper highlight shows, because there were 4 and one of those was the noms and one was eviction.

Posted by: Aaron. 8th August 2015, 07:54 PM

Wow, that's pretty upsetting. They kept the house at Dreamworld even after Channel 10 cancelled Big Brother and before it moved to Channel 9.
Last season was a travesty, so I'm not surprised it's not coming back - but keep the house at least sad.gif

Posted by: Liаm 8th August 2015, 08:07 PM

There were rumours of a Celebrity version at least but clearly that's not happening sad.gif

Posted by: Liаm 10th August 2015, 02:21 PM

Oh it's ok - the reports were false! Obviously looks unlikely to happen this year but the house is being left as readily available for another series, hopefully they can rustle up a Celeb one before the "real" series but maybe they'll just do one last series earlier next year *blind hope*

Posted by: Dillan 10th August 2015, 08:18 PM

Yeah, I read reports that it definitely wasn't coming back this year because there just wasn't space to have it on Channel 9's schedule daily. I'm pretty sure it will be back next year, though.

Aussie I'm A Celeb has started and Queen Nat Bass of music, soap and reality TV has entered *.*

The only others I know of are Casey Donovan who won Idol in like 2003 and didn't do much afterwards and the guy who played that reverend who Leah had a thing with in Home & Away but I might watch this series.

Posted by: Martyn 29th January 2017, 06:19 PM

They go to South Africa for the Aus version don't they?

Posted by: Liаm 29th January 2017, 06:24 PM

Yep they do!

Posted by: Aaron. 30th January 2017, 01:56 PM

ASH *.*
CASEY *.*
NAT *.*
TOM *.*

I thought when Ash was entering, when they teased us with her hair that it was going to be Tim Dormer. But Ash is just as good (well not really - but I'm happy).
This begins the Australian Reality TV Cycle. My iamspamspamamiRules started last night. Masterchef will be on in a few months, Survivor and The Block in the Summer. Yas.

Posted by: Liаm 30th January 2017, 06:09 PM

I am already stanning Casey, Ash and especially Nat Bass. I can see Ash being a massive c*** and I'm here for that *.*

Dane Swan needs to have my babies but he's the obvious dull winner already sad.gif

Posted by: Liаm 6th February 2017, 05:55 AM

Ash is bloody brilliant TV. I don't know what it is but she is so watchable! Her and Casey (so likable) together are brilliant, friendship goals. I really hope one of those two can win, I'm sure they'll both last a while anyway. Nat is great too but I'm waiting for her to get another couple of trials!

I'm less of a fan of Jay (SHUT THE f*** UP WITH YOUR BLOODY UKELELE), Steve (just seems a miserable old knob) and Tziporah (she was fine until she decided to be positive about "alt-rights" and Pauline Hanson, as well as being a bit annoying).

Posted by: Aaron. 8th February 2017, 01:55 PM

I watched the first 4 or 5 episodes, but I had to ditch IAC.. too much of an investment.. I don't think I could keep up with my vacation in a few weeks. I have already fallen behind.
I loved the cast tho. Ash has always been amazing. Tziporah's story was interesting in the episodes I watched. NAT BASS and Casey were also brilliant.
Still sticking with MKR Australia, one of my favorite Aussie RTV shows. I hate the Instant Restaurant rounds, they're always so played out. But this first round has been interesting - 3 record breakers so far.

Posted by: Liаm 8th February 2017, 06:45 PM

I am loving it, I am getting busier with uni so I may fall behind too but I'm gonna try and keep up laugh.gif Tziporah is a knob now, I don't think she'll last long once the eliminations start anyway.

Ash has to win, idk why I love her so much but even in mundane situations she is so amazing.

Posted by: Liаm 15th February 2017, 05:14 PM

Omg ok some bitch from the Bachelor has gone in and Ash is gonna tear her a new one because she's pathetic and had a meltdown over having to get a star that had a bit of chilli smeared over it rotf.gif If anyone saw The Bachelor (I didn't but from what I understand) or is watching I'm A Celeb, you'll empathise with me on how f***ing pathetic Keira Maguire is. To think that Casey and Nazeem have done two eating trials and eaten all manner of shit for stars and she can't even handle a chilli.

I love how they always say "intruder" on Aussie shows, it kind of sets them up to fail by alienating them but human nature makes the contestants seem to hate all latecomers anyway laugh.gif

Posted by: Sarah 2nd March 2017, 11:01 PM

Where are you guys watching IAC? its probably bit late to start watching now unless I can catch it up?

Posted by: Liаm 2nd March 2017, 11:09 PM

I've been watching on Youtube but the guy removes them after like a week for copyright sad.gif

https://www.youtube.com/user/k99rky/videos

Episodes 15 onwards are on there if you wanted to watch from there I guess, it is really good!

Ash, Casey, Tegan and Nat are all amazing, Casey has to win. She's just such a beautiful soul, she'd do anything for anyone and is just so warm and lovely.

Thank you Liam, I will give it a go smile.gif

Posted by: Liаm 3rd March 2017, 12:09 AM

No worries! Let us know what you think, I hate the UK version (mostly because of Ant & Dec) but as always Australia makes it work, I just find that the way they construct the trials, do the highlights etc. is much better. It doesn't seem to always be the same people doing them, mostly because it's rare that there is a trial for just one person, I think there's only been one this series and that was when a newbie came in. So if there is one who always gets voted to do trials, they balance it by having different people alongside them and you can just focus on them.

Posted by: Liаm 7th March 2017, 04:02 PM

GOOD LORRRRRRRRRRRRRRD I HATE LISA CURRY

She reminds me of one of the older controlling women from Big Brother like the dreaded Carole drama.gif

Posted by: Lieowstic 2nd April 2017, 04:09 AM

Omg I could MURDER rn, someoen did an extremely late April Fools' that Channel 9 had revived BBAU and it would be on this fall.... The teaser they posted was BB Scandavia from like 2012 the comments identified, I was legit physically shaking it was back and then that :')

Posted by: Sarah 5th April 2017, 11:51 PM

I watched the whole of IAC and quite liked it..I only knew two of the celebs, Nat and Ash..also thought that the trials were better, putting the novelty items into a few was funny as they were often more scared of them then the actual living creatures laugh.gif liked the fact there were mainly two or more doing them and not the same people all the time and there seemed to be way more group trials too which was good..everyone seemed to just get on with them, Kira annoyed me though to the point she was so over the top it was funny especially with the whole chilli thing..I know I would have rather that then something far worse!! she did get better! the presenters were funny, one thing I didn't like was when that snake would pop up while they were presenting ohmy.gif I hate snakes!! The celebs are in the jungle for a lot longer than the UK one which I didn't know but yeah I enjoyed watching smile.gif

Posted by: Lieowstic🐱 6th April 2017, 02:17 AM

Glad you liked it! Aussies don't tend to massively overhaul reality TV but they always seem to do it so right. I just love the overall tone of I'm A Celeb, it doesn't take itself too seriously but it didn't try hard to be funny like I feel Ant and Dec sometimes do. I knew about 5 or 6 of the celebs but because it was such a great series I came to love pretty much all of them, my least faves were Tom, Lisa and Carson (probably the only three I didn't like) but I did find Keira grating towards the end and wasn't sad to see her go. Casey winning was fab, she is such a warm and lovely person and really needed/deserved it <3 Her, Nat and Ash were definitely my top 3 looking back, I stanned Ash so much when she was there but I think Casey and Nat pip her overall. I was so sad to see it end </3

Posted by: Aaron. 6th April 2017, 02:19 AM

I opted out after the first week.. not shocked Casey won at all.
HOW. WAS. I. NOT. INFORMED. CARSON. WAS. ON. THIS. SEASON. Omg, I may go back and re-watch.
The boot order I'm reading sounds about right based on what I saw. Nazeem should have replaced Dane tho.

Posted by: Lieowstic🐱 6th April 2017, 02:29 AM

Carson was insufferable drama.gif One massive walking stereotype and so tedious.

Yeah they got the boot order so right by and large! I'd have had Ash and Tegan top 5 instead of Steve and Dane, but both of them made it a few places higher than I expected anyway, and I'd have Lisa as like second out. Apart from Ash and Tegan going a bit early for my liking and Lisa lasting too long (but I could see why they did), Aus chose very well! I loved all the top 5 anyway, Dane wasn't the most exciting but a stand-up bloke anyway.

God, talking about how right Australia get it (we'll ignore the last season of X Factor and the fact they let Ryan win the last series of BBAU drama.gif) is making me miss BBAU all over again </3 They need to try harder when their shows get into a bit of a dip, they seemed to kind of give up on both X Factor and BBAU. Well, they sort of simultaneously gave up caring but also threw way too much at it desperately, it was a mindf*** laugh.gif

Posted by: Aaron. 8th April 2017, 01:19 PM

That's unfortunate about Carson - I can see how he can be a bit much. He was just on The Celebrity Apprentice and was pretty annoying there.
Aussie RTV shows are always the best. They brought back Survivor after being off the air for ages and basically brought us one of the best seasons of Reality TV ever.
I think if they're going to bring it back, they would absolutely need to follow the BBUS Structure. If MKR and Survivor has shown us anything, Australians can be extremely cutthroat. ITS TIME AUSTRALIA.

Posted by: Silas 5th July 2017, 09:10 PM

Watching MKR season7 and oh my days theres one c**t here making a pure mountain out of a hair being on the dish. Just pick it out you drama queen.

Posted by: Aaron. 8th July 2017, 02:38 PM

MKR 7 > MKR 8. I struggled with this last season.
I'm also struggling with this season of Masterchef Australia. In the last 2 weeks there have been 10 episodes, but only 2 eliminations.

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner 20th August 2017, 07:22 PM

I adored the winners of MKR 7. I was so pleased for them and proud of them by the end. Grew to like Lauren a little more but she was still a proper weapons grade c**t.

I've just finished 2016 Masterchef Au and was so glad with the winner. 2017 has just started airing in the UK so I've just started that one. Haven't got a fave yet

Posted by: Aaron. 20th August 2017, 08:22 PM

The last few weeks of Masterchef AU 2017 were better. I won't spoil anymore than that because if I do it would be very predictable.
We've got a network here that is marathoning older seasons of Masterchef AU - They're just onto Season 7 now.. at Marco Pierre White week :vom:
It was great not to see him this last season... but... I'm sure he will be back with Hells iamspamspamamiAU flopping.

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner 20th August 2017, 08:39 PM

Ugh I always just have to suck it up and brace myself for his weeks. He's such an arse. I must admit I'm not overly fond of Heston either.

Nigella however is a god. Same for Kylie.

Posted by: Aaron. 20th August 2017, 10:49 PM

Heston is usually alright, but, they didn't go all out for him this year like they have in the past. The network that runs Masterchef AU is basically bankrupt at this point.. we may not even get another season.

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner 21st August 2017, 01:00 AM

Not basically, literally. It's in full blown administration. Foxtel are trying to buy it but laws need to be changed in the Aussie Parliament first

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner 22nd August 2017, 07:36 PM

MKR8 just started in the U.K. First set of IRs has a pair of siblings from Brisbane and they are c**ts. This is so disappointing. My default is to support Queenslanders, especially Brisbanites. I want to chuck them off the Story Bridge so this is not going to be a great year

Posted by: Aaron. 22nd August 2017, 09:37 PM

Was that Amy & Tyson?
I actually really liked them. Yeah, they came off as dicks the first few episodes.. but.. Overall I really liked them. The thing with MKR is they always want the contestants to have a persona or some storyline, unlike Masterchef.

CBS bought Channel 10 - hopefully it means more seasons of Australian Survivor. Not sure it they'll produce Masterchef however seeing it's a FOX Show in the US.

That's the c**ts!

I'm on their instant restaurant now. I'm super curious if any of my mates know them coz bris is basically a village. And omg they live in Kangaroo Point?!?!!?? Omg that's like my dream Brisbane suburb. Omg I hate them even more right now. I'm literally only watching this episode with these dickheads for pretty pretty Brisbane. It's not on TV much, I need my fix

I've come round to Amy and Tyson. I'm growing quite fond of them.

Josh and Amy are probably the two worst humans currently inhabiting the planet. So the sooner they get their comeuppance the better I reckon.

I need to get into My kitchen Rules (but I always say this so don't hold me to it kink.gif)! Ash really sold me when she was on I'm a Celeb, what a f***ing queen and if anyone was half as iconic as her I'd be happy with it tbh

Posted by: Aaron. 11th October 2017, 03:07 AM

Another season of Australian Survivor has come and gone. Very meh winner compared to last year, but, viewership was up. The season was right in the midst of Channel 10 folding and CBS coming in and saving the network and keeping all the shows going.
Although not formally announced, it's believed Survivor Australia is getting another season and they will ditch the Bachelor/Bachlorette as they are in America on other networks.

IN MASSIVE NEWS - CBS has sent scouters to find a location for ANOTHER AUSTRALIAN BIG BROTHER SERIES, US Format. They can't use Dreamworld, so they're finding another location *.*

Omg YES, I've missed BBAU so much but they did kind of kill it lmao. With CBS obviously they know what they are doing moreso!

I'm A Celeb Aus starts again 28th Jan!

There are some clues as to who the cas will be so from rumours and guesses I've seen touted about I'm gonnaguss something like:

"A pop sensation known only by their first name"
Ricki-Lee or Paulini? I would DIE at the former omg

"Two celebrities in the middle of a huge feud"
Probably Kyle Sandilands and Rove McManus going by rumours but I've seen The Veronicas touted, they've fallen out because Lisa isn't accepting of Jess' sexuality apparently/ I'd LOVE to see the drama if they got put in together omg

"An iconic Aussie comedian who married into one of Australia's best loved families"
Seems to be Glenn Robbins, as he's a huge Aussie comedian and married Kath in Kath & Kim, they could be seen as a best loved family of Australia

"An AFL player who's won a championship and has "hair raising" play"
f*** knows, I've seen Jason Akermanis touted, f*** knows who that is but apparently he's got distinctive bleachd hair

"An Aussie rocker with album and single sales of over 1 million"
Could be Shannon Nollalthough given the first clue I posted is probably Ricki-Lee or Paulini I doubt they'd have two Aussie Idol contestants (esecially Paulini and Shannon from the same season). Also seen Jimmy Barnes and Ben Gillies from Silverchair rumoured

"A sporting star with a sense of social justice"
god knows doesn't seem to be many rumours I just hope whoever it is is better than bloody Lisa Curry from last year.

"Iconic Australian actor ready for a tree-change"
News outlets have taken this to mean someone from some show called SeaChange

"Queen of comedy with a lot to talk about"
Could be Denise scott or Fiona O'Loughlin from rumours, whoever they are

"A lovable princess who knows how to keep it real"
I'm guessing "real" refers to reality TV, so this is most probably someone from the Bachelor as that is HUGE in Australia and they aways get someone from it

"Aworld famous tennis sar
Apparently Bernard Tomic hassigned up for $1m, he's fit tbh so yes please x

Also Fran Drescher appears to have signed up, they do normally get a US star in there

I actually know most of these rumours, intrigued to see which are true.

Edit: Apparently Vicky Pattison has signed up? No thanks lmao. They do have Geordie Shore there though and Gaz did a cooking thing I think it was over there.

Posted by: Liаm 28th January 2018, 09:23 PM

Lmao the I'm A Celeb line-up is f***ing awful, I only know Peter, Shannon and Tiffany. To think the hot rumour for the popstar known by a mononym was Ricki-Lee but we get her :') I'm liking Fiona and Simone the most so far, the guys all pretty much seem like generic nice enough Aussie blokes, meh. I know Bernard Tomic has a reputation though laugh.gif

edit- now Ricky Martin's 'The Cup Of Life' *.* who does the music for this show coz I wanna marry them

I've watched all the episodes so far. Pretty Meh.
It's unfortunate MKR has fallen into the trap of Personalities/Fighting over the Food.. we get the same drama year over year.
With that being said, I am excited to see Kim/Suong cook. I pretty much hate everyone else in Group 1.

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner 4th February 2018, 07:46 PM

Yeah the first rounds are a bit more dramatic that they need to be, but I really enjoy the later stages of the competition. I loved seeing Amy and Tyson open up a bit and their friendship with Karen and Ros in particular was just so pure.

I’d agree with you on group 1. I’m really rooting for them but 2 episodes in I don’t care for anyone else

Posted by: Aaron. 4th February 2018, 09:15 PM

I've always hated the Instant Restaurant Rounds with a passion. They are so long and drawn out. I was hella pissed they introduced the Super Instant Restaurant rounds last year.

Kim/Suong cooked last night, I'll post in Spoilers until you watch.. I love Vietnamese food and what they cooked are my three favorite dishes. I'm sure I would have been in heaven. I have had it with Roula & Rachael however. But you just know another team is going to bottom out and they will stick around for sure.

Posted by: Aaron. 7th February 2018, 12:34 AM

Stuss & Steve: TBH, there's something about them I really liked up until tonight. I actually expected them to go out there and absolutely murder it.. alas.. that was very hard to watch. Doesn't seem like Stuss actually gave a crap and Steve was trying so hard but not getting anywhere. But, I do think if it does end up being them VS Ash/Matty they could take them out for sure.

Posted by: Liаm 7th February 2018, 01:14 AM

This is probably the worst series of I'm A Celeb so far, Anthony Mundine is absolutely VILE and I'm so fed up of him getting away with being such a knob because he's some sort of hero boxer. Him and Danny Green between them have less personality than than a grey shake of blended crocodile penis.

Aw i'm LOVING Jackie, she is not taking any shit and is such a trooper doing all the trials she's gotten. Luckily it's not the same as ours where the same one or two do every trial but she's got the most. People are saying they're surprised though so idk why it's apparently taking a jungle to bring out her fire, but she is fab.

The producers purposely set it all up that way, from recruiting certain couples specifically due to their hostile natures and forcing entrants to behave completely different to how they are in real life. You have couples who are painted as stuck up, mean, cruel, yet if you ever meet them in real life they're the most down to earth people you'd ever meet - because their personas are created purely for ratings. The exact same process was/is undergone for shows like Big Brother, Masterchef, House Rules, The Block, etc. etc. I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the social relationships in those "Reality" tv shows were semi-scripted.

Posted by: Aaron. 7th February 2018, 11:54 AM

Oh believe me, I know all about how they set shows like MKR up.
I wouldn't put Masterchef (at least AU) on that list. I don't think we've ever seen any drama there.
The Block's Drama seems a little more natural. MKR is just odd on how it focus' so heavily on the drama.

Posted by: Liаm 12th February 2018, 03:06 PM

Vicky Pattison has entered I'm A Celeb so that's that ramped up *.* Also Paul Burrell unfortunately :/

Posted by: Klaus 12th February 2018, 06:36 PM

oh ffs, how long can you drag out being a butler to a royal?? When will he disappear???

not that im watching but im just sick of the leech laugh.gif

Posted by: Liаm 13th February 2018, 01:24 PM

Legit laugh.gif I always hate when they sign anyone to a show like this saying that they'll spill the secrets of x or y... Having said that he wasted no time in harping on about the royals, but it's not like some random reality show is going to get the exclusive truth behind Diana's death or the Queen's most intimate secrets. I am going to HOWL if Jackie does a reading and channel Princess Diana but I don't think she'd be that disrespectful laugh.gif

Vicky is brilliant though, exactly what the series needs! It's a bit boring as they're all getting along although I love Simone, Jackie and Fiona. Shannon Noll and Danny Green are two of the most tediously boring people possible but the quietly competent nice Aussie bloke is basically a ticket to the final in this show, but it's tedious af when they just sit there and do the trials and don't scream a bit or make a show. "Nollsy" just mumbles and is truly just there but is favourite to win, I can barely understand a thing he says laugh.gif

Posted by: Dexton 14th February 2018, 11:14 AM

That’s Australian reality tv for you tongue.gif It’s why the Australian Big Brother was cancelled. Without the addition of external drama (such as forcefully creating personalities for people on shows like MKR, or just adding in extra people like Vicky who is amazing) Australians just get on too well. Or not even that, they just don’t say anything if they get pissed off and let everything go as normal. Whereas if you look at UK reality tv, everyone is arguing and shouting and being entertianing (not a bad thing).

Honestly the Aus Big Brother was the most boring thing to watch especially after loving the UK one for so long too.

Posted by: Liаm 14th February 2018, 12:09 PM

Omg I love BBAu, I think they struck the balance just right. There was always a bit of a villain but it was never *too* much. The 2013 series especially was flawless, 2014 wasn't great and had possibly the worst winner of any BB ever laugh.gif

Posted by: Aaron. 23rd February 2018, 01:16 AM

MKR: Wow, Group 2 absolutely murdered this. I don't think I've ever seen a stronger group of cheftestants. I would prefer the Mother/Daughter to go however.
AND FINALLY THE INSTANT RESTAURANTS ARE DONE *.*

Posted by: Liаm 23rd February 2018, 02:03 AM

David and Lisa f***ing Oldifeld have ruined I'm A Celeb, such rancid people. Ni had no idea who they were beforehand but from what I've read he seems to be like an Australian Nigel Farage which of course is... wonderful.

Posted by: Dexton 25th February 2018, 11:51 AM

I can’t stand the hosts, neither of them have any charisma and everytime they try and make any jokes they just fall flat. It might just be because I got so used to the comedic gold of Ant & Dec as hosts but they ruin the show for me. Vicky elevated the show and is the only reason I’m watching at this point

Posted by: Liаm 25th February 2018, 12:09 PM

I much prefer them to Ant and Dec but they're like my worst people on TV so not hard laugh.gif

This series isn't great but it's easy enough viewing for the background when I get back from uni or I'm getting ready so I keep watching. Because I watch on youtube I do just skip boring bits of like Shannon or Danny though.

RANT WARNING
My kіtchen Rules is ABSOLUTE GARBAGE this year.
First off, we get week after week of Instant Restaurants, then they transition into Group 1 vs Group 2 cookoffs.. where.. they get sent to what can only be described as another Instant Restaurant.. and they allow ALL the other teams to judge and score?!

For the most part, the other Teams scores outweigh the judges. Infact, the strongest team got eliminated because of the Group Score when it was Georgie/Alicia VS Alex/Emily.
So frustrating, they are just looking for Drama this year it seems.

The editing is terrible, you basically can tell who's safe and who's not based on the previews.. we also had a entire week of Sonya/Hadil's "She couldn't afford fine dining" commercials before the episode actually aired. WHY?!

Prediction on the rest of the season:

01: Henry/Anna
02: Olga/Valeria
03: Josh/Nic
04: Jess/Emma
05: Stella/Jazzey
06: Kim/Soung
07: Alex/Emily
DQ: Sonya/Hadil (despite being the strongest team left, they will never win this show. The disqualification is clearly them based on the previews they've shown)

Also - saw that the show is off until the end of the Commonwealth Games.. which I've googled and runs from Apr 4, 2018 – Apr 15, 2018. Um. Why aren't we getting a few episodes next week?
WILL THIS SEASON EVER END.
MASTERCHEF AUSTRALIA NEEDS TO RETURN.

It is a an odd season of MKR and looking at the ratings it is down on previous years - i'm guessing the changes to the format haven't clicked.

Some of the teams are good; but overall the show just isn't as good as it was.

I do prefer Masterchef Australia as a whole... but the last season of that I found to be a bit dull with all the people I liked being eliminated early and those who remained I didn't really care about.

Masterchef Australia has begun jump.gifyahoo.gifjump.gif

Posted by: Aaron. 10th May 2018, 09:19 PM

End of MKR: Um. Okay. Alex and Emily were the best this year? blink.gif I think not. I think it was a travesty that nobody from Group 2 was even in the Top 4. Clearly having no judges (outside Pete and Manu) judge the food and allowing the teams to score messed this all up. Wow. They need a big change for next year or I'm gonna tune out.

Start of Masterchef: cheer.gif Good start. I wasn't really paying attention too much to the Auditions but it looks like we have some good contenders this year. I just hope nobody pulls a Ben this year and cooks 16 Ice Creams in a row to make to the end.

Posted by: Liаm 10th May 2018, 09:40 PM

Ooh I might need to keep up with Masterchef Aus, although exams will probs stop m laugh.gif

Posted by: Aaron. 19th May 2018, 02:07 AM

Masterchef so far, Don't disagree with any of the eliminations. Matt being away is absolutely fine with me, keep him away for the rest of the season.

Aldo seems like the runaway winner for me. Male, because we haven't had a Male winner in a while. Diverse, because of LGBT and Non Traditional because he's not the standard White Australian Winner (or at least, not Australian enough).

Few thoughts on the others:

Adele: Cute, vibrant.. but you saw her being eliminated in the Season Promo....
Chloe: Hey, Ben and Diana didn't exist last year until Mid-Season, so she could do quite well.
Hoda: Seems very disingenuous in one of the last cooks. She didn't understand the concept and outright lied to the judges.
Jess: Cute, but you're not the new Reynold.
Reece: Could go far, and I hope he does.. but he's one of those risky cooks that could get cut very early.
Sashi: God damn he's annoying.

Posted by: ElectroBoy 21st May 2018, 06:44 PM

Aldo is being pushed quite a lot - in a similar way to Matt Sinclair a couple of years ago eg he is used so much in the talking heads bit... Geneie too is getting a lot of screen time and they keep referencing her to Julie Goodwin as she is a mum. Maybe picks to be there for the long haul... although Elena and Diana weren't really in your face and got through the first few weeks quite quietly so I guess you never know.

I'm liking this series alot more than the last series though; last year everyone seemed to be too good and there didn't feel anyone to root for (actually that's partly rubbish; my faves all got eliminated way too early for me to really care for the end plus there were quite a few bland people).

This year i'm liking Brendan, Gina and Khanh and quite a few others too

I'm going to be devastated when he's eliminated.

Posted by: ElectroBoy 28th May 2018, 07:51 PM

My Rankings/ views on the remaining MCA contestants:

1 = Brendan - Comes across well... the hand was a massive ohmy.gif but glad he was back and coking well
2 = Khanh - really like him although can see him exiting soon as he always skates on near bottom
3 = Jenny - really like her and seems at her best when under pressure
4 = Genene - she seems to be getting a Julie Goodwin type edit, but likeable enough
5 = Gina - I like her/ her attitude and how she cooks
6 = Chloe - either does well, or extremely badly but seems interesting
7 = Sarah - like her from what we' ve seen
8 = Sashi - good, likeable and I can see lasting a long time
9 = Reece - likeable, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was out soon
10 - Hoda - think she will go a long way, kind of like that she doesn't seem to give a shit
11 - Ben - Shown what he can to in today's show
12 - Loki - likely to be here for the long haul with the pin
13 = Jess - sweet enough, but I don't know if she'll last much longer
14 = Samira - skills, but a bit miserable
15 = Lisa - she's barely been featured (from what I can remember)
16 = Jo - like Lisa, she's barely been featured, but she doesn't seem to exciting as a cook
17 = Aldo - he irritates me and more so because he is featured so much - no doubt a pick for finals week.

Overall though a strong year and Gordon Ramsay in being nice revelation!

<3 <3 <3 LOKI GOING HOME WITH AN IMMUNITY PIN
THE CONTESTANTS ARE SHOOK

This week was crap outside of Loki's exit. Gordon Ramsay doesn't translate well on the Australian Masterchef. These contestants are too timid.

MY RANKINGS:

01: Reece - I absolutely love him <3 yes, he won't win, but I'm hoping with his Immunity Pin he would at least make Top 10.
02: Gina - MORE LIKE QUEENA. She owned her entire team in the last Team Challenge and absolutely dragged them through the mud just to save the day.
03: Jess - So cute, the Producers clearly love her. Such a queen, but not the strongest cook and definitely won't win.
04: Hoda - We need to see more Hoda Goddess. She looks like she knows what she's doing.
05: Kristin - Her lack of self confidence really f***ing bothers me, but it's a Winners Edit if I ever saw one.
06: Khanh - Starting to become more noticeable now, but, I don't see him going very far.. his food knowledge really seems to lack.
07: Brendan - Something about him irks me. Doesn't handle pressure well at all.
08: Jenny - I like her, but she seems to be taking a back seat to a lot of people.
09: Chole - Something about her really irks me. I'm not actually sure if she can cook either, she just seems to float by.
10: Ben - Very hit and miss, very inconsistent cook, but seems to be a strong narrator, so I think we're stuck with him until Top 10.
11: Aldo - Still my pick for a winner, or to at least go far. But dude. Stop touching everyone.
12: Sarah - Very much back of the pack.
13: Lisa - Cute when she's on the screen, which, is not often.
14: Jo - Absolutely would have been dead last if it wasn't for that last Pressure Test.. WHERE DID THIS JO COME FROM, I WANT MOAR.
15: Sashi - Something about him irks me, but I see him going very far.
16: Genene - Started off strong, well, not really.. noticeable and just seems to get random throw away confessionals that add nothing.
17: Samira - Invisible unless she cooks well or does terrible.. and her track record isn't the best.

kink.gif you missed someone (I have 17 because I didn't include Hoda) - I wonder if you can figure out who it is kink.gif

Posted by: ElectroBoy 1st June 2018, 06:25 AM

It’s Kristin I missed (so bland)

Also the last team challenge has completely put me off Chloe - she was a trainwreck who couldn’t seem to resolve anything one lead anyone. Gina should’ve just ripped the captains apron off her!

Posted by: Aaron. 8th June 2018, 12:18 AM

<3 <3 REECE SINGLE HANDEDLY TAKING HIS TEAM TO VICTORY <3 <3
Shocked at Brendan's exit tho. I thought he would go far for sure.
Chloe needs to go, and take Kristen with her too. Do these girls ever smile?

Posted by: Aaron. 9th June 2018, 02:42 PM

Love Island Australia: Not terrible at all. MOON. Erin and Cassidy are my favorite girls. Justin is by far my favorite guy. Please get Grant/Tayla off my screen. Shame John James just quit. I can't believe nobody went for him. These girls seem to be very picky.

Posted by: Aaron. 12th June 2018, 01:04 AM

Shocked Genene went home, especially since Hoda really shit the bead in her last two cooks. Never would have picked Chloe/Ben to be the top against those two.
That challenge also didn't seem very difficult, many pre-prepared ingredients. Struggle to see where the challenge was for 3 hours.
REECE FOR A SECOND IMMUNITY PIN PLZ <3 <3 <3

Posted by: ElectroBoy 12th June 2018, 11:00 AM

Chloe is absolutely awful and the fact she is being kept in is frankly bizarre. During Brendan’s elimination twitter went into a bit of a meltdown.

I don’t get how she is still there?

Posted by: Aaron. 17th June 2018, 02:01 AM

Love Island: Absolutely devastated that Justin went home. He was the star of the show every time he was on the screen. But, Josh stayed and that's okay. Glad Elias is gone. Hope this turns into a Big Brother Brawl and Millie/Tayla go after Erin/Eden and take them out for sending Justin home.
Cassidy can also go now. So funny how the week changes and I'm off Cassidy and rooting for Millie/Tayla.

Posted by: Aaron. 18th June 2018, 12:27 AM

What was the point in Matt eating from Jess' dish with no intention of having her in the top three. Made no sense. Shouldn't have been allowed. Dude needs to put the spoon down and wait his god damn turn.

Also pretty worried about Ben pulling a, well, Ben from last year.. but this time with Meat and Jus. Can you do anything else?
Eagerly awaiting his Dessert Jus!

Lisa/Hoda/Sarah Bottom 3 is no shock. I predict Lisa will go home (and I hope she does). I just want Hoda to pick up her socks and start cooking well again, I had her pegged for being at the top.

Posted by: ElectroBoy 21st June 2018, 10:54 AM

Yay for second chance cook biggrin.gif

Shocked Aldo has gone though... glad Brendan is back though - he was too strong a cook to go so early!

Chloe and Ben need to go - both seem to have a zillion lives between them in this competition

Posted by: ElectroBoy 22nd June 2018, 02:16 PM

01 [01] = Brendan – glad he’s back, he shouldn’t have gone in the first place!
02 [02] = Khanh – good to see him coming into his own more, although I expect him to not last much longer
03 [05] = Gina – like her/ her attitude
04 [08] = Sashi – two immunity pins he’s definitely going to finals week
05 [09] = Reece – sure he’s heading for finals week too and next week should play to his strengths
06 [07] = Sarah – surprised she’s lasted so long; I like her, but she’s hit and miss
07 [13] = Jess – she’s sweet and cooks well considering her age
08 [11] = Ben – liking him more, but like Chloe he seems to be able to survive a zillion elimination rounds
09 [10] = Hoda – I’m finding it difficult to warm to her/ like her
10 [NE] = Kristen – forgot her last time… still not really a fan
11 [14] = Samira – still miserable
12 [06] = Chloe – she’s horrific

Posted by: Aaron. 23rd June 2018, 06:59 PM

Masterchef: I'm only about 50% shocked that Aldo left. They really stopped showing him a while ago. He was my pick to win the first few weeks but he quickly tapered off. Happy Brendan is back however!

Love Island: *.* THIS SHIT IS AMAZING. 10x better than Love Island UK. I just got to the Cassidy/Grant Re-Coupling and the Cassidy/Millie/Tayla fight. Cannot wait until the next episode. I've completely gone off Cassidy, but if she's going to bring this level of drama I AM LIVING.

Edit: Annnnd Cassidy's gone. Such a loss. I thought she'd murder a Vote to Save.. but when you're only against one other person and you're the most hated person on Australian TV.. it's easy to go.

Posted by: Aaron. 23rd June 2018, 07:14 PM

Masterchef Rankings

01: Reece: Obviously <3. I'm rooting for you bae.
02: Jess: Absolute queen.
03: Brendan: Welcome back, well deserved. Not sure if he can POH it to the end tho.
04: Khanh: Gone way up in my estimation, but I think he will be out sooner rather than later.
05: Hoda: She really needs to pick up her socks. I want her to redeem herself.
06: Gina: Queen Gina. She needs to be a team captain and secure her team victory.
07: Sashi: Pretty much guaranteed a spot in the finals but I still haven't warmed up.
08: Sarah: I just can't relate to her at all. So many times at the bottom. I don't want her in the Top 10 either.
09: Samira: Sorry whom. Just fodder to me at this point.
10: Ben: MEAT AND JUS. MEAT AND JUS. MEAT AND JUS.
11: Chloe: Please go home soon.
12: Kristen: Please be out before the Top 10.

The Top 6 I really like. The bottom 6 can go anytime. Except for maybe Kristen/Sarah. I don't think they come close to where Aldo was, so I think it's only fair they go next.

I think given who's into the elimination tomorrow there's a good chance she'll be next out.

Although given its sweet week Jess should be excelling rather than being the pressure test - she may do a Bryan from last year

I just frantically scrolled through this page to avoid spoilers. I'm playing catch-up on Masterchef while i'm in Brisbane and in the past week have managed to power through 22 episodes. Am on 23 (6th June) now.

I screamed with joy when Loki was sent packing. I just need Sashi to go next. I detest him. His immunity pin was such a fix. Honestly what a reward for mediocrity. His dish was crap. Samira should have got the pin.

Tim and Ben are the only bits of eye candy this year. Poor brave Tim being eliminated early.

Nigella week was fab as usual and I actually quite enjoyed Ramsey week but would have actually preferred for him to chuck blue team out Hells kіtchen style.

Chloe and Ben are the worst for me... (them and Kristen) although I'm not exactly championing either Sashi or Reece.

I'm Team Brendan/ Khanh yahoo.gif

I thought it was a shame that Jenny and Genene were eliminated

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner 1st July 2018, 10:21 AM

I started out liking Chloe but meh she’s kinda forgettable at the moment. I also keep forgetting about Kerstine. She seems to shine like once a month. As for Ben, he annoyed me at first but I tolerate him now because he’s bangable.

Not sure who I’m backing now Jenny has gone.

I’ve almost caught up, on episode 30 now. Hope to be up to date before I leave

Love Island Australia Finals Week:

Great season, 100x better than the UK. Here's my predictions/final thoughts on the final couples.

Winners: Tayla/Grant: Yeah, I think they're destined for the top. With the whole 'Will You Be My Girlfriend' segment last week, they have this in the bag. Tayla was a clear production favorite and Grant has improved his standing from the first few weeks.
2nd: Erin/Eden: Up until about a week ago I would have said Erin/Eden would have won, but looking at their competition I think they will be beat. Erin was my favorite this whole season, but unfortunately she's coupled up with one of the most boring humans in existence. I don't think Eden has enough fans to get them over the line.
3rd: Josh/Amelia: I cannot believe it took him 5 weeks to couple up. Josh by far is one of the most popular Love Island contestants, but his inability to find love is costly. I think had he made it work with any other girl early on, whoever he would have been with and him would have won. I was rooting for him and Cassidy, but, it wasn't meant to happen.
4th: Millie/Mark: Millie is the only one in this whole couple who's going to get any votes. She was a strong character this season but for me was the worst to watch. She went through what, 5 or 6 guys? BRING ME A TRADIE *tradie appears* I DON'T LIKE HIM. Millie is clearly going to be one of those cat ladies. 50 and alone. Mark brings nothing to the table. His body is nice, but, his face is a disaster. What kind of man gets lip implants?!
5th: Dom/Shelby:Another crazy situation where he wasn't able to find anything meaningful. He's by far the hottest guy out there, but, boring as f***. I also cannot stand Shelby, how she treated Jaxon was complete trash. Her only chance of possibly doing well she through out the window. She knew Jaxon was somewhat of a favorite, even over Dom and she still sent him home?! Idiot.
6th: Mac/Teddy: IMO the obvious pick to come last. I do think it's possible with Teddy's bullying storyline they could inch up one spot, but they're a non-threat to win.

ETA: Mac/Teddy are the clear favorites on Facebook.. but a lot of people are calling their supporters out for not being a real couple. Erin/Eden are a distant second.. nothing for Tayla/Grant tho. Shocking.

Posted by: Aaron. 2nd July 2018, 11:45 PM

Sarah: I KNOW I SHOULD READ THE WHOLE RECIPE BUT I DONT HAVE THE TI-

Thank god. I was getting tired of seeing her in the bottom.
Chloe does surprisingly well with recipes. Quite annoying.

Almost caught up now, on Zumbo’s mystery box currently.

I don’t understand why Sashi is still here. It almost feels like a fix because he should not have got an immunity pin in Ramsey week. Urgh I just want him to go the f*** home.

I'm not a massive fan of his, but I think he'll definitely be there in finals week.... not unless he has a week from hell and has to use up his last pin and then goes out in a pressure test.

Chloe and Ben have to be the next couple out - surely there's only so many times they can be bottom 2 and survive! Although actually I just remembered Kristen - can't stand her either and Sunday's show she seemed even worse than normal

Basically the only ones I like are Brendan, Jess, Khanh and Samira.

The rest can go biggrin.gif

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner 3rd July 2018, 08:36 AM

I can’t see beyond a Sashi victory at the moment. I’m praying to every god out there it doesn’t happen. It seems to be stacked that way. I’m just praying that, as you say, he has a diabolical week and ends up going home.

That’s my top 4 too although I don’t mind Ben so much. Chloe’s voice has started to annoy me now.

Sarah and Hoda were my top two so gutted to lose them.

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner 4th July 2018, 10:29 AM

This weeks team challenge is sooooo good (and still airing). One of Reece or Sashi will have to play the pin tomorrow. Hopefully both of them will be up for elimination but at least one of them will be in the elimination. *prays for sashi*

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner 4th July 2018, 10:55 AM

Yaaaaaaas Sashi in the elimination. I’m hoping he doesn’t use the pin and does a Loki but I reckon he’ll use it

Posted by: ElectroBoy 4th July 2018, 12:15 PM

I think he will use the pin.

We must be due the Power Apron at some point soon... unless that's been scrapped

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner 4th July 2018, 12:39 PM

Advert during tonight’s show was showing next week as “superhero week” with some major advantage at the end of it. So I’d guess power apron is next week

Posted by: Aaron. 4th July 2018, 10:52 PM

Well that episode was awful to watch.
YOU'RE COOKING FOR PRINCE CHARLES!!!!
Except not really, you're cooking for an event that he happens to be at.
You didn't even see him eating any of the food. It also didn't look like anyone told him he'd have Masterchef Contestants cooking for him, nor that he would have to engage with the judges.
It also looked as if the Contestants blocked the exit and he was forced to talk to them laugh.gif - but, at least he gave them the time of day. It just looked like when he was talking with the Judges he wanted the conversation to be over.

Alas, something they should all be proud of. Regardless of whether or Prince Charles tried any of their food.
Also, YAS for flushing Sashi's final pin. I think Jess' luck has run out tho.
Kristen needs to go, even more-so than Chloe. I got the sense that she has a bit of an attitude problem. Whoever she was teamed with asked her to help Jess with the Tarts and her response was YEAH WHEN I'M DONE DOING THIS. Also shot them down again when talking about getting everything ready.

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner 5th July 2018, 12:07 AM

Kirsten turned for me when Shannon told her during the immunity cook not to add more lime and she silently stood there and grated more lime. I’m so shocked Shannon didn’t dance about singing “told you so” when they said if she’d added less she’d have won a pin.

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner 5th July 2018, 08:44 AM

Ad on channel 10 just showed Kirsten making a frozen desert. In an outside elimination in NT. The hottest part of a continent that is basically the earthly representation of what hell would be like. It’d be an easy 37-40 degrees. She’s f***ed

Edit - they’ve just shown another ad with this theme and really hammering home the “f*** it’s hot. Look a Kirsten gambling on a frozen desert. What a f***ing eejit” theme. So she’s either going to spectacularly fail or she’s dish of the day

Posted by: ElectroBoy 5th July 2018, 09:10 AM

She'll no doubt be dish of the day biggrin.gif

Has she actually made anything that wasn't a dessert? Jess and Reece have tried over the weeks, she seems so one trick. I actually dislike her more than Chloe at the moment.

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner 5th July 2018, 09:29 AM

The more I see that ad, 3 times during The Project, the more I think she’s dish of the day also laugh.gif

I’m trying to think. I think the last one was last weeks team challenge when she did that kingfish in that Melbourne restaurant and nearly burned the place down

Posted by: Aaron. 8th July 2018, 03:26 PM

Poor Brendan.

Posted by: Aaron. 9th July 2018, 12:11 AM

<3 Reece/Jess slaying the Mystery Box and Invention Test
<3 Kristen flopping episode 1 of Superpower (or whatever) week and not making an appearance again until elimination!!

Kinda sucks only one (or if Reece ends up in the elimination and uses his pin) two people are safe. I really wanted Kristen to go. I think there's a few people she can beat out still.

cheer.gif cheer.gif cheer.gif cheer.gif cheer.gif cheer.gif cheer.gif SHE'S GONE!!! KRISTEN IS FINALLY GONE!!! cheer.gif cheer.gif cheer.gif cheer.gif cheer.gif cheer.gif cheer.gif

Thank GOD for that.
I was also okay with Chloe winning the power over Sashi as well.

Posted by: Aaron. 15th July 2018, 03:43 PM

That was probably the best episode of Masterchef AU Ever.
<3 Jess' mom coming in and calling her fat.
<3 Reeces' friend giving him Duck, clearly knowing nothing about him.
<3 Khanh's mushroom dish, the story and emotion.
<3 Chloe using her Immunity Apron thing the first chance possible.

The only thing that would have made it better was if Sashi was in elimination. I have a strong feeling Khanh can absolutely take Sashi down and secure a spot in Finals Week.

Posted by: Aaron. 19th July 2018, 11:46 PM

Alright I'm devastated Reece left. Definitely my favorites this year, if not from the last few years.
I guess I'll root for a Khanh/Ben Final 2?
Anyone but Sashi.
Chloe can come 4th.
I'm fine with Jess 3rd, but that's as far as she deserves.

Watch it be a Sashi/Chloe F2.

Posted by: ElectroBoy 20th July 2018, 07:57 AM

Khanh to win

Sashi seems like an obvious winner though given how many pins/ challenges etc he's won over the series... although hopefully something comes along to slip him up. Saying that he probably deserves a finalist spot over Chloe, Ben and Jess given how many dud dishes/ elimination challenges they've had to go through

Posted by: Aaron. 25th July 2018, 12:13 AM

The best part of last nights episode:

Ben....
Ben: 0.0 MATT

Also, Ben beating Sashi was amazing.

Posted by: Aaron. 1st August 2018, 01:33 AM

End of Masterchef Australia: Eek. That was uncomfortable to watch. KHANH, JESS AND REECE DIED FOR YOU SO YOU COULD DEFEAT SASHI. 16 Point different at the end of Round One.
Well I think you can confidently say there will be a return of a 3-Round Final next year. It was really annoying knowing who the winner was with an hour left to go in the episode.
Sashi is a very boring winner, it really seems the Judges championed him all the way to the end. This was clearly evident when Ben pretty much needed to figure out how to fix his Ice Cream all on his own, while, Sashi forgot to put (whatever it was) in his Mousse (I think that's what it was I wasn't paying attention by this point) and they not only told him, they pretty much made sure that he did it.
Overall, good season. But only good because of a stellar group of cooks. No International Trip? The Faux buildup for Prince Charles? No Heston Week? WEAK.

Start of Australian Survivor: 2016 was the best season of Survivor ever including the 35-ish seasons of US. It's just a completely different show. The strategy is unreal. I cannot wait for this season.

Start of The Block: *crickets* one of the top Australian RTV Shows. Returns on Sunday. I'll probably be in this topic on my own cry.gif

Posted by: 5 Silas Frøkner 1st August 2018, 06:35 AM

Urgggggggggggggggggggggh hands down the worst winner of any Masterchef AU series I’ve watched. Utterly despise him and his smug face

Posted by: ElectroBoy 1st August 2018, 08:16 AM

I didn't really like either finalist... however Sashi is a much more worthy winner than Ben who shouldn't have even made the finals week. In fact had Ben won it would've been a joke. Out of the final 5 it should have been Sashi vs Khanh - that would've been a much better, even final.

I'm not a Sashi fan, but he has done well throughout the whole competition and was barely in blacks, so he did deserve it really.

This year was better than Series 9... but maybe its the editing or something but it always feels certain contestants are given a much easier ride than others by the judges. Some contestants get a gazillion chances and are saved repeatedly, yet other good chefs make 1 mistake and that's it. It becomes frustrating

Posted by: Liаm 2nd December 2018, 03:51 PM

I'm A Celeb starts again Sunday 13th Jan *.* It's reduced to a four week run rather than six, not mad tbh as I think at times, it does feel like it runs for a bit too long.

It's sooo much better than our season it's unreal. Not many rumours so far but I've seen whispers of Tayla/Grant from Love Island (ngl putting them in together after what happened would be GOLDEN, can't say I'd be that fussed on either of them alone) as well as some guy off Married At First Sight (but there were various MAFS rumours last season that turned out to be wrong). I'm sure there'll also be some Bachelor(ette) types.

First clues are that we have a footballer and two controversial politicians, if one of them is Pauline Hanson I am f***ing DONE.

Posted by: Conderella 4th January 2019, 10:29 PM

They put Instant Hotel on Netflix so I just watched the first 10 episodes in a row. Australian landscapes tho <3

AMAZING show. So full of drama! *.* They really found perfect cast there with Leroy/Babe+Bondi from first round and Shay/Serena from the second.

Posted by: Liаm 9th January 2019, 04:50 PM

Apparently they're "desperate" for Pamela Anderson in I'm A Celeb as they've struggled to get big names, and are in final talks! I feel like she would, she's done like 4 versions of Dancing With The Stars, Dancing On Ice, that BB guest appearance, I guess the jungle is a very different and daunting type of challenge though. She would likely be pretty interesting although there's always that risk that big names will be boring as possible for their paycheck and get voted out first or second laugh.gif

I'm not fussed on the line-up being names I know or not, the past 2 I've watched I've only known two or three prior to the show but some of the best campmates (Fiona, Jackie, Ash, Tegan) are ones I had 0 idea about before they went in. Aus just does this show so much better regardless.

Also Angie and Yvie from Gogglebox are the first two to be confirmed btw, idk them as I hate our version so certainly wouldn't seek out another country's laugh.gif They seem to be a double act of best friends who live together but appear to be separate here.

I did find a SD Rip for the first two episodes as well, I'll figure it out this weekend.

MKR had a 10 Year Special air this week. Very solid, focused on some of the better contestants, but unfortunately the scripted/produced drama as well.
I really want them to go back to the way the show was in 2013/2014 when I first started watching. Those were the best seasons and probably one of the top RTV seasons Australia has ever produced.

Also just wanted to call out Matt from Mick and Matt (Series 4 - the nerdy Father and Son) the son is SMOKING HOT NOW OMG.

They keep saying it premieres 'Monday Week' which means nothing to me. I'm going to assume this starts February 3rd or 4th perhaps.
Sneak Peek at the end of the episode too.. at least one of the 'Couples' are complete strangers rolleyes.gif not off to a good start.

I did see that an All-Stars will also air this year too!! ohmy.gif

My KITCYAN; Rules started last night.
They've kept to the same formula it would seem. Polarizing people and of course the team that will absolutely be hated by everyone.

Stacey & Ash: Yeah probably the best team to go first. Cute couple, one of them has faced a challenge in their life and has a sob story. They are cute tho! He's a catch, seems very personable and she's stunning! They can cook too! Solid menu and they seemed to have done well! Fodder, I think they will get cut early after the Instant Restaurants are done. They don't really have a sense of what they can cook well.

Amanda & Blake: HOLY SHIT I NEED TO BE FRIENDS WITH THEM BOTH RIGHT NOW. They seem like a blast, so fun, so chill. They are both STUNNING. He's so hot. Seems like they do well tomorrow. <3!!!!
Karito & Ian: Didn't see much from them. Obviously he does well for himself. I think they may be the first ones out. But, she could bring something unexpected, so you never know.
Chris & Lesley: Basically me and my BFF 30 years from now. Didn't see much from them either, but I think they may do alright.
Andy & Ruby: Annoying. They should have been the team that were the outcast/mean girls/bitches this round and just completely cut Josh/Austin.
Mick & Jodie-Anne: Cute, but she would get on my nerves so fast.
Ibby & Romel: So MKR has a history of being Homophobic I guess? They've failed throughout almost all of the seasons to highlight the LGBTQ couples as being LGBTQ. I don't know if they are a couple, maybe we can assume so? They both seem very accomplished and successful.. but.. this is a cooking show so none of that really matters. I think they could do well just based on their cuisine backgrounds, but they are definitely not our winners. Also, their score at the end of the night was terribly undeserved.
Josh & Austin: Ugh. I can't. They are disgusting. Such a shame because Josh is actually very good looking! I wonder how much of this is fake, because if it's any less than 99.9% their parents must be embarrassed. I NEED them to be out first. PLEASE.

Posted by: Aaron. 30th January 2019, 02:37 AM

Episode Deux.

Amanda and Blake: I am #OBSESSED with these two. wub.gif by far the best team so far. They did great, I'd eat everything they'd put in front of me. So much love went into that Pork Belly (I f***ing LOVE Pork Belly). The desert (sans molasses) looked amazing, I want make Brioche Bread now.

Stacey & Ash: Outside of repeating his sob story, pretty much invisible.
Karito & Ian: I love her! Such a fierce queen. I hope they do well tomorrow. Such a shame their trailer didn't have ANYTHING to do with them cooking.
Chris & Lesley: Invisible this episode.
Andy & Ruby: I do like them sticking up for themselves, but the one is a little miss know it all and it's very annoying.
Mick & Jodie-Anne: A little less annoying this go around.
Ibby & Romel: God how are these two the voice of reason. I'm not here for Ibby's reveal tomorrow. I bet it's something low key that nobody cares for or has nothing to do with this show. I'm just upset they took away from 'Next Episode' and Karito-Godess to build this up.
Josh & Austin: Probably the worst team to ever be on MKR ever. They are disgusting and completely fake. I find it funny that all they show is the personal side of things but we don't hear any of their critiques. If they make it through this round I may have to turn this off. They are absolutely revolting.

I'm so bored of I'm A Celeb sad.gif I really like Justin but f*** me he's been voted for EVERY trial the public has voted for bar yesterday's, the only other times he hasn't done it are the two that Ajay and Sam chose when they got voted off.

Dancing with the Stars Australia has announced its case for 2019... including Courtney Act

Omg I was so hyped seeing that earlier!! I only know Courtney and Olympia Valance but will most likely watch for Courtney wub.gif

Posted by: La Vie En Code 8th February 2019, 01:37 AM

I think I'm more tempted to watch DWTS Australia for Queen Sharna as a judge *.* So glad they brought it back!

Posted by: Aaron. 12th March 2019, 01:26 AM

Oh dear, this season of MKR is a complete abortion sad.gif

General Public: We hate how long the Instant Restaurant rounds are please make them shorter
Production 2017: You want more Instant Restaurant Rounds and 3 rounds to make it longer? Ok.
General Public: um. no. if you lis-
Production 2019: Oh you want even more Instant Restaurants, but this time in a strangers house? Ok.

Seriously. What are they thinking.
The eliminations have been terrible as well. HOW JOSH AND AUSTIN ARE STILL THERE I HAVE NO IDEA.
Milly & Karolina were also a HUGE loss. Karolina was very polarizing, in a very good and positive way. She needs to be on Reality TV. Such an amazing find and for her to go so early was upsetting.

Same with Amanda and Blake. I loved them from episode one and they were great to watch... but... didn't seem like they could actually cook!

They need to do something with this show, or just cancel it and give us Big Brother Australia back. This is unwatchable.

Posted by: ElectroBoy 12th March 2019, 09:11 AM

Its OK Masterchef Australia should return soon to save us all!

Posted by: Liаm 25th March 2019, 06:14 PM

I'm not properly watching DWTS but Courtney is SLAYING it wub.gif

From what I saw of Olympia, I'm shook af she was out week 5 too mellow.gif

Posted by: Aaron. 27th March 2019, 11:05 PM

RIP My iamspamspamamiRules (2009 - 2019).
No, it's not cancelled. It's just become beyond ridiculous.
The fascination on Instant/Super Restaurants has become too much and makes this show completely unwatchable.
Not only did they JUST complete a round of Instant Restaurants, afterwards only 1 team went home. Public Challenges returned, but was moot for an episode as there weren't any losers. The Bottom 2 for the week FINALLY went to elimination.. only for them to give us ANOTHER ROUND OF f***ING INSTANT RESTAURANTS STARTING NEXT WEEK.

I hate giving up on shows, so I am going to finish this season + the All-Stars season pegged for later this year, but... after this I'm done.
Please bring on Masterchef Australia. Such a shame they always wait for this abortion to end before giving us their season. Ugh.

Masterchef Australia back on 29th April!!!!

jump.gif jump.gif jump.gif

Posted by: Aaron. 24th April 2019, 12:40 AM

Couldn't come a moment sooner because this season of MKR is horrendous.
I'm honestly baffled, this season was all over the place. Josh & Austin being the initial villains, only to have Ibby & Romel/Andy & Ruby steal that crown for the middle part of the season. We lost the initial 'Twist' of Milly/Karolina right away which was a huge loss for the season because Karolina by far was one of the best casting decisions in any Aussie RTV Show in ages.

With this season being a huge bitch fest, it seemed like we found a strong team to root for in Victor/G. Good cooking, no drama. Well that all changed going into the 2nd round of Instant Restaurants. Victor became unbearable walking off every few episodes and finally just threw his girlfriend under the bus.

For some reason they kept pushing eliminations, so just having them all cook with no real consequences.. left us somehow with 5 Eliminations in 3 Episodes.
Somehow Matt and Luke who were very much in the middle the entire season beat out Victor/G and Lisa/John (who scored the first 30/30 from the judges in their first Instant Restaurant).

To make matters worse, they never explained HOW the semi-finals were determined, they just gave us random pairings. This was upsetting because both Ibby/Romel and Pat/Bianca kinda deserved a spot in the final. However, both teams scores were lower than BOTH teams scores in the second semi-final... like... you're seriously eliminating a team that cooked significantly better than the two teams yesterday?

Somehow Matt/Luke made it to the finals. If they win against Ibby/Romel that will be two HORRIBLE winners in a row. There's honestly no way to justify it.

BRING ON MASTERCHEF. PLEASE. CANCEL MKR AND BRING BACK BIG BROTHER.

Posted by: Aaron. 28th April 2019, 03:44 PM

lol and of course Matt/Luke won. Ugh.
With them adding 5 judges to the final, it was a really good opportunity for them to add diversity, but instead it was literally white on white on white. Not shockingly Ibby/Romel were called out for being too spice forward with 4 out of 5 of their dishes. That's what happens when you get a bunch of white people together that eat the same food day in and day out - and that's why Matt and Luke won.

Seriously, their Menu was something we have seen them (or other teams) cook this entire season. Nothing looked Grand Final worthy at all?

Since Episode 1 I've basically crucified MKR. Probably because I have in the past called it one of Australia's best RTV Shows but it has gotten stale over the last few years and now we have 2 horrendous back to back winners. They need to shake this show up MASSIVELY or retire it all together.

Bring on Masterchef. At least they've been able to keep it relatively up to date.

Last season was great. Better than the UK one.

I was going to say the same thing... I hope she is eliminated; a whole season of her would be very grating.

Yeah he seems to be getting pushed a heck of a lot in the first few episodes. Hopefully its not going to be a constant thing. I went off Matt in Series 8 because he literally featured in EVERYTHING and was glad Elena managed to beat him (although I was always rooting for Harry in that series).

Alot of diversity in the series though which I think is a good thing

Posted by: Aaron. 5th May 2019, 11:30 PM

Huda was a great person to go first. She's been visible but not demonstrated herself as a good cook. Infact, there's a few of them that have questionable talent so far.
Lol at Tim giving up his pin ASAP. I probably would have risked it and cooked and kept the pin.
Yossra to go next?
Tonight I learned that Tessa and Nicole are two different people. I do like Tessa tho.

Posted by: Aaron. 6th May 2019, 11:28 PM

That elimination wasn't awful, they all did a really great job. I thought maybe Yoosra would have been toast but she did so well!
Losing 2 really diverse candidates right off the bat is a little tough.
Steph is quite annoying, she can go sometime soon I hope.

Yes I've found Steph too be quite OTT - hopefully she's a quick boot.

Was surprised Dee went tbh... mainly as she did well last week and was top 4/ in the immunity challenge. But I guess that's how it goes.

Really liking Tessa atm

I thought for sure Tati was going to get the chop, I'm also disappointed it was Mandy. She was a great narrator and came across as very genuine.

Legends week next week? Could be interesting.... hopefully it lives up to it's hype. Hopefully we get rid of some of these boring white males too.

Posted by: Aaron. 18th June 2019, 12:05 AM

Sucks having Derek/Simon/Steph in that elimination... all should have by-passed a few of the others.
I hated Steph at the beginning but I really warmed up to her.

WANT:

01: Tati
02: Nicole
03: Simon
04: Derek
05: Larissa
06: Sandeep
07: Tim
08: Ben
09: Anoushka
10: Christina
11: Tessa

Really numbers 11 - 7 are interchangeable. Christina and Tessa do nothing for me. Anoushka is meh. Ben has fought a bit more than the others and Tim can go anytime really.
I've never been on the Sandeep bandwagon, I actually think he's toast pretty soon here without his pin.
Larissa has been great, but I think the others possess better skills to beat her out.
Derek is just a dreamboat, but he's also humble and confident!
Simon has really impressed me recently.
Nicole, I don't know where my love for her comes from. She's willing to take a risk... sometimes it pays off, most of the time for her it hasn't tho.. but I think she will really shine in the Top 10.
TATI. GODDESS. Soooooo cute. I want her to win (or make it as far as possible) wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif

Posted by: ElectroBoy 18th June 2019, 08:12 AM

Steph had grown on me as well…

01 - Tati
02 - Ben
03 - Derek
04 - Tessa
05 - Larissa
06 - Nicole
07 - Simon
08 - Anoushka
09 - Christina
10 - Sandeep
11 – Tim

Yeah I like Tati too… I did originally love Anoushka, but she seems to have stalled a little bit and doesn’t seem to be making as much of an impression anymore. Christina and Sandeep haven’t really made an impression. Tim just irritates me as he was pushed so much at the beginning and all the commentary/ narration seemed to be coming from him/ what he thought.

I like Ben… although the editing for him has been bizarre. He was invisible for the first 4 weeks of the competition, then continually bottom 2 and now seems to have hit his stride with going top 3… I guess maybe he was edited down at the beginning as he’s getting a bigger edit now? There are a couple of contestants each year that seem to get through the hard way and go through so many eliminations.

Derek and Tessa are great too, the rest are a bit interchangeable between 5 and 7.

I SCREAMED at Gary's face when Ben turned over that first Panna Cotta.

Australian Survivor is returning soon (promo looks *.*)

Season 3 was by far the best season out of any Survivor franchise, ever.
Season 4 was meh, Season 5 was incredible but had such a shocking winner.

Australian Survivor isn't like the American Version. There isn't any cheese to it. The difference is very similar to BBCAN and BBUS.
Very strategic gameplay, very interesting to watch. I highly recommend tuning in if you can.
I anticipate this will start at the end of July or first week of August. Very tough going against The Block, another one of Aussie TV's Reality Shows.

Posted by: Aaron. 21st June 2019, 12:07 AM

Wow. That elimination, could the judges have been anymore miserable? Perhaps cutting out the sugar wasn't a good idea.. they clearly didn't want to eat anything.
They basically called Sandeep a basic bitch, unbelievable given they allowed Ben to cook Ice Cream for every dish in the Top 10 in his season.
They grilled Derek on stuff that had absolutely nothing to do with the dish. Leave the dude alone, he's figuring this stuff out.
Worst off was their critique of Tati. They basically creamed their pants everytime they went to her bench and described her food, but she put it down and the negativity just flowed.
Simon they didn't even want to talk to.

What the hell happened?

Anyways, Sandeep going isn't a shock. I knew he would fall at the first hurdle of anything being slightly out of his comfort zone, and, here we are.

Posted by: Aaron. 29th June 2019, 01:41 PM

TBH Kinda wanted Anushka to go over Ben. Her attitude in that last challenge was very poor, it's like she just wanted to cook to be safe.. not really in the spirit of the competition was it? Ben at least wasn't doing it intentionally. She was.

Posted by: Aaron. 1st July 2019, 11:48 PM

sad.gif Tati.
I guess I'll root for Simon or Derek now... wow, I haven't rooted for a man in Masterchef in a while...

Posted by: Aaron. 22nd July 2019, 12:51 AM

*CRICKETS*

Very happy with that Top 5 tho. Tessa has been very UTR this whole season, I don't think I'd want her to win. Tim was very OTT at the beginning, but they've cleared that narrative, I still don't think he deserves to win tho. Larissa has been MURDERING this bitch for weeks now. Holy crap. Everything she's put out has been 11/10 for the last while... I'm blown away. She deserves Top 2. Kill it girl. But I am rooting for Simon, he has heart and he makes Vegetarianism seem sexy... haha, but seriously... very well rounded. Simon and Larissa are easily the top 2 this season, so well rounded. Sad that Nicole went, she was one of my favorite ladies all season. She gave everything 110%. So much heart, drive and ambition.

Posted by: ElectroBoy 22nd July 2019, 06:26 AM

I don’t think Tessa has been that under the radar; she got 2 pins throughout the comp. I just think personality wise she is a bit quieter.

I’m still basically anyone but Tim to win... but I’m sure he will

Posted by: ElectroBoy 22nd July 2019, 12:38 PM

Hooray for the final 3

Posted by: Aaron. 22nd July 2019, 10:47 PM

I was also pleased that Tim went out 4th. It's obviously not his fault that they basically shoved him down our throats for the first 3 weeks and made him completely unwatchable.. but I think he came back humbled. He looks very weird with all that weight loss tho.

I'm too lazy to go back in this thread and find the Finale last year and said they'd drop the 2-Person Predictable Finale and here we are. It looks very interesting. I think it plays to Simon's strengths too. Larissa is a great cook, but, I don't particularly think her style is catered towards restaurant service.

This Finale came out of nowhere, I thought they'd string this along for another 2-3 episodes and have the finale on Sunday.. but Australian Survivor starts on Wednesday so I'll give them a pass.

Ugh. So upsetting. They really should have just made this the last season, or have them come back for a short All-Stars/Send Off... This all at once is a little much. End of an era. Even if they do bring it back... it will never be the same. Ugh.

I kind of thought that maybe George would bow out.. with the Press Club drama I think it was probably best for him to step aside. I never thought that Gary/Matt would leave however.

RIP Masterchef Australia.

Posted by: Aaron. 24th July 2019, 12:52 AM

Great final however.. VERY. DESERVING. WINNER.
This entire Top 10 sans Ben and Anoushka were amazing.

They adjusted the Final perfectly as well. Apart from knowing Simon wasn't going to win it was a very interesting watch. Great winner.

Posted by: Aaron. 7th August 2019, 11:30 PM

Ending Masterchef Australia 2019: I'm still pretty choked about George/Matt/Gary leaving. 11 Seasons, 747 Episodes. What they did was incredible. Sure, I hated each of them (especially Matt) at one point or another but they made this show what it was. They really found a way of getting respect from every contestant. I think we will get one more season with new judges and that will be it, unless it's becomes a massive success again. I do feel bad for Larissa - her win was amazing, but completely overshadowed by the judges leaving. They should have waited until the next day to announce they were all leaving.

The Block Australia 2019: Well this only just started so I don't have much to say. This project looks like too much, especially in the housing market that Australia is in right now I'm not sure why they felt it appropriate to do the biggest block yet. It's just going to end up like a few seasons back where only one team made a profit and the other teams were left broke. I don't have too many opinions by Mark and Mitch are just about the cutest old gay couple ever. I loved their Guest Bedroom too. Wow, they really know what they're doing. I hope they keep Apartment 1 or swap for Apartment 5. They'd be stupid to take one of the middle apartments if that option was available. Jesse seems a little sneaky. I wonder what mischief he will create this season.

Australian Survivor 2019: So we are 8 Episodes in (I'm only on Episode 7) but this season is shaping up to be amazing. I wasn't sold on the Contenders vs Champions theme again, but to me they are all Contenders because I only knew a handful of Celebrities/Athletes. Although I'm sure the general Australian Public will tune in because they have some really great Champions.
Janine Allis obviously stands out - her net worth is $66 Million Dollars. She didn't need to do this, but her reasoning was so authentic. I loved that she hired a PT before going on and she seems to be doing an amazing job so far.
Harry creating an imaginary child is such a Matt (BBUS) move. Although it seems to be working for him in his mind.
Luke returning as a Champion was a little meh. He didn't win and his gameplay the first time around was questionable, but he's shown why he deserves to be on this season as a Champion - instantly first tribal council found himself on the wrong side of the vote and flipped it? Great. Tribe swap where you are 7-2 in the minority and flipped it? Amazing. The only thing is I think that David may be outplaying him a tad! God. He is such a dreamboat. Sexy, Confident and knows how to play the game *swoon*
Andy just comes across as a used car salesman, like, how are the others not seeing this?! John I would bang so hard, even with that mullet. Abbey is going to be a QUEEN I can tell already.
This season has amazing potential. I can't wait to see where it goes.

Amazing Race Australia returns in October, Channel 10!

Posted by: Dexton 16th September 2019, 05:30 PM

Australian Survivor finishes tomorrow night and I’ve been gripped to be honest, even though I only picked it up about halfway through. There’s been quite an outrage over Luke being voted out 4th understandably and, whilst I would’ve loved for him to win, it does open up the final a little bit more in terms of who the real champion could be. My moneys on Pia but I’d equally be okay with Harry winning which would be a nice sort of redemption win for a contender after almost being voted out time and time again. Say what you want about her I think she made the right decision tonight by voting for Luke over Baden - Luke is guaranteed to get heaps in donations anyway (a go fund me page was opened literally minutes after the vote and had over 50k within 2 hours) and like I said it makes the finale way less predictable. Assuming Baden doesn’t make the Top 2 anyway, as I think Harry and Pia both have a fairly equal shot at #1 whereas nowhere near enough attention has been given to Baden basically ever. He’s a great player to have gotten this far but a part of that I feel, at least lately, has literally just been because everyone’s been focused on big players.

Ideally for me is Pia winning with Harry rounding out the Top 2

Posted by: Aaron. 17th September 2019, 11:05 PM

This whole season has been spectacular. Post-Jury has gone by so quickly... it's unbelievable. I don't want this season to end!
That last episode (I HAVEN'T SEEN THE FINAL YET) was just beautifully done, but... it HAD to be Luke if he didn't win immunity. He would kill it at the end.

I'm rooting for a Harry win at this point. He played really well.

Posted by: Aaron. 18th September 2019, 11:10 PM

End of Australian Survivor 2019: First off - let's start by saying this season was SENSATIONAL. Probably within my top 15 Survivor Seasons ever.
I may go back and watch Post-Merge again just because it went by so quickly and was such a blur. However, everything Post-Initial Tribe Swap has been sensational. Every Strategic and Strategic Threat was at 11/10 at all times.

However, that finale was disappointing. No live final? No reunion? What the HELL?!?!? It completely undermines all the hard work they did this entire season.
Secondly, both Baden and Pia played very similar games from what they were trying to articulate... so that final tribal council was so boring.
Pia is a fantastic winner, but her win would have been more impactful against Harry or Luke. We needed one of those two at the end to make the final interesting.. maybe that's why we didn't get a Live Final/Reunion =X

Seriously tho..... I can't believe they just revealed Pia as the winner, showed the votes and *POOF* that's all folks. If this does come back again, they need to fix that.

Pia deserved to win after her game but I agree it could’ve been more impactful. Baden was just cruising through the game and him stumbling his questions basically proved that he was trying to convince people he had a good game whereas Pia was just proving hers. I would’ve liked a more theatrical finale but it was too obvious that he wouldn’t win against either Pia or Harry. I guess a similar point could be made if Luke made the Top 2/3 though as no one could beat him. All fantastic players in the jury this year which goes to show how tough the last couple of weeks were.

All stars is rumoured to have Abbey, Harry, and David from this season

I think it was either Luke or Harry that said both Baden and Pia were Passenger Drivers.. but there's a difference between being a Passenger and just going for the ride. It was pretty obvious that Pia worked a lot harder than Baden. I wonder how the votes would have turned out if it was Baden/Harry?

I somehow managed to find a 50 Page Spoiler Thread for this season. Really up until a month ago nobody was really sure who won.. there was a lot of speculation that it was Pia.. but many felt it was too obvious. I stopped reading because about a month ago was when they started filming for All-Stars. I did however spoil the first two boots and if that has anything to go off of, this will be a must watch season. The host also confirmed we are getting another full season next year as well.

ETA: a Go Fund Me was created after Luke was voted out at F4. Already shut down. He made $550,000. Donating $50k to the community. Wow. That was fast.

Does that mean the full list of all stars is out there? PM me that list/thread pls laugh.gif

Also the Go Fund Me was incredibly they had over 50k within 24h of him leaving

From what I could see from the last seasons spoiler thread, about a month ago 20/24 of the contestants were confirmed and about to fly out. At this point they created a new topic for the All-Stars series.
I'll send you the link to the subforum, there are two topics. One with the cast and another with spoilers for the season. Be warned, the topic has the boot spoilers right in the first post. There were about 5 or 6 boots when I look at the thread.. I only spoiled the first two boots for myself.

Love Island Australia Season 2 starts Monday, October 7th.
Disappointed it took so long to get a second season... The first was great!

Hope it's true

It is!! Could not be more hyped *.*

Posted by: Liаm 4th October 2019, 07:49 PM

Omg it's the US format!! I think that's wise tbh, it has been a few years but the old format already died twice, it's nice to try something different.

Posted by: Aaron. 10th October 2019, 09:59 PM

Oh dear. Maurice on Love Island is a little much isn't he.

Posted by: Liаm 23rd October 2019, 11:10 AM

Disappointed that the same-sex couple on Love Island lasted barely a few days drama.gif

Also US format for BBAU confirmed - a promo leaked and it has footage of US and Canada series and is on about evicting your friends and controlling the game to win it all. It's called Big Brother: Revolution. A lot of BB fans are whinging that it isn't the "normal" format but I think it's smart, the old format died twice and reality TV just isn't in the same place anymore so why not try something different that's been proven to work in other countries?

Posted by: Aaron. 24th October 2019, 12:53 AM

I gave up on Love Island mid episode 2. Same sex couple tho? Awesome!
You're right on Big Brother tho. Suck it up, y'all been cancelled twice. If Survivor Australia has taught us anything, it's that Australians are cutthroat for sure

Posted by: Liаm 24th October 2019, 10:42 PM

One of them dumped the other for a guy at first opportunity lmao not so awesome, no better than Katie/Sophie in our Love Island tbh

Yeah exactly!! It is also pre-recorded apparently which is hmm but tbf with the US format, that doesn't matter as much.

LINDSAY LOHAN is apparently doing I'm A Celeb oh my god

Posted by: CockDestroyer 7th December 2019, 04:23 PM

Okay so I pretty much stream-rolled through the season 1 of Zumbo's Just Desserts. What an incredible cast. Australians really do know how to cast people for reality TV! The right amount of drama without feeling too pretentious and fake. Always one ridiculous villain that loses out in the end. So fun. Although to be honest sometimes it can get pretty predictable and stories with outcomes have certain patterns. I didn't like how they didn't even mention some of the contestants until week 3-4 too lmao.

I hated Daniel SO MUCH. I just couldn't at how pretentious and obnoxious he was having never even won the entire time. No idea how he got to the Top 4. Absolute nightmare but amazing TV villain laugh.gif

Kate is a fantastic winner. She was HILARIOUS. So was Brogan so I'm happy they managed to drag her to the Top 3. Ali was such a wreck. I thought they were giving her a winner edit but I was pleasantly surprised she didn't win.

Kinda ridiculous they got rid of Amie and Irene so soon leaving Brogan and Daniel but I guess the former two never really brought much to the competition personality-wise which is fair as it IS a reality TV show. Still at the same time they deserved to be Top 4 alongside Kate and Ali.

Patricia was absolutely fabulous and an extremely likeable character/ I would've liked to have seen more of her but alas she was up against Kate in that ZT.

I'm so into cooking shows nowadays it's crazy laugh.gif

Posted by: CockDestroyer 7th December 2019, 04:26 PM

oh and Rachel was such a terrible host. Those forced laughs and RBF~

Gigi proved to be so pointless there since Adriano himself got down to talk to the contestants at some points.

Some of that shit they made looked so incredible, I'm really in the mood for some fancy dessert now.

A new reality show called Pooch Perfect has been announced for 2020, hosted by Rebel Wilson and features 10 professional dog stylists competing for a $100,000 prize *.*

Honestly she'll do great as a reality show host and I wouldn't mind seeing her host more tv shows over here.

That bonus season of MKR we were supposed to get in 2019 starts next month, January 27th.
I skimmed the article.. I thought it was full out All-Stars but I guess not.
Judges competing too? Why.

Posted by: SausageDestroyer 12th January 2020, 03:41 PM

I just finished Zumbo's JD season 2 and it was kinda underwhelming compared to the amazing season 1. Not enough good characters and I think they shouldn't have cut down the contestants number to 10. But one thing I liked and what S1 never had is that the strongest duo by far was the Top 2 with the most deserving winner taking the crown.

The villain almost got to the finale having never won a single week - something we've seen in season 1 before laugh.gif

First challenge winner going on to win the entire thing twice in a row now. Such fun.

Huge week for Aussie RTV. MKR started yesterday and Australian Survivor Allstars and Married At First Sight all start tomorrow.

This MKR is the Half-Allstars season that was supposed to air later last year. First off. Manu is looking AMAZING. Holy. Where's my fan.
Second. I AM LIVING FOR SUE ANN OOI. HER VT WAS THE BEST THING TO HAPPEN TO RTV SO FAR FOR 2020.
Third. Having Steph and Dan back is a god send. That was actually my first MKR season and they were sensational winners. I'm so happy it all happened for them. I want them to win again.

Everything else just sucked. Continued Drama from last year. Couldn't they have found Sophia a better partner? Ugh.
This season is going to be a chore. Sue Ann Ooi needs to be our queen and save us.

Posted by: Aaron. 4th February 2020, 12:46 AM

Australian Survivor: That is how you cast an All-Stars season. I would not change a single thing, except perhaps having Kristie.
I was disappointed we didn't get a reunion last year because this was filming, but it was well worth it. The fact that we had a Shane v Harry as the two at risk shows this is going to be a great season.

Posted by: Aaron. 5th February 2020, 12:35 AM

Australian Survivor: Soooo. That Reward Challenge was basically a softcore porno. Holy crap this cast is insane. They really got the hottest, smartest and most well rounded players. Also I couldn't with Lockie asking Johnathan (host) to take his sword.
Where did Daisy and Phoebe come from?! COMP. QUEENS.
I am also LIVING for this David/Lockie/Brooke ect.. Alliance.
Finally, great tribal counsel. Jericho did a fantastic job on playing with Phoebe's emotions. Too bad it didn't work for him, lol.

Looks like we might find out more about BBAU today - trailer/launch date?? ohmy.gif

Posted by: Aaron. 5th February 2020, 02:50 AM

Australia certainly has stepped up their RTV in recent years. Excited for BBAU to return!

Posted by: Liаm 5th February 2020, 11:14 AM

Ffs it was just announcing Sonia is hosting again, ew but thank god that BB is the kind of show where the host doesn't really matter.

Posted by: Aaron. 5th February 2020, 09:36 PM

Yeah, I skip through most of the evictions anyways. I'd care more whether or not if they got Mike back, his narration was always important.

Posted by: Dexton 9th February 2020, 03:41 PM

Survivor is insaneeeee, David is 100% more tolerable this season he has definitely learned from his mistakes last season. I feel he’s definitely gonna be a major target before long especially with how much he manipulated the entire tribal council that ended with Daisy eliminated. I’m liking Harry more this season too, and also a big fan of Brooke, Lydia, Henry, and Matt (all from seasons I haven’t seen before)

Posted by: Aaron. 16th February 2020, 05:26 PM

It's crazy that we have two Survivor All-Stars going on in the world right now, but Australia's is by far superior.
The first week was insane, but the second weeks episodes were definitely more subtle. I was sad to see Henry go so soon. I hope there's a tribe swap or something coming up however.

If I had to pick it right now, it's going to be a player like AK/Mat/Nick or Harry. They seem to know when the right time to strike is.
How Harry has stepped up his game so well from his last season is impressive.
I'm even liking Lockie 100x more than his previous season.

The rest of Aussie RTV I can take a pass on. MKR is pretty much unwatchable, I don't know why I haven't just ditched this show already.
I haven't given Married at First Sight a shot yet either.

Posted by: Aaron. 18th February 2020, 01:53 AM

Normally I don't care much for tribe swaps, but that was really needed. Really freshened up the game.

ShoneeGodess saving this season and taking out Abbey was amazing. Abbey was REALLY starting to get on my nerves

Australian Masterchef is an allstars!!!

Back to win - some good cooks in there too - even though the judges have gone, has made me hyped!!

Married At First Sight is WILD, we have a version here in the UK but it's a bit of a damp squib - it's just so much better in Aus.

BEST NEWS TODAY.
There's definitely some heavy hitters in that mix. Ben (the Ice Cream guy - UGH), CALLUM *.*, POH *.*, REECE *.*, REYNOLD *.*
What I don't get is why Andy is a judge. That's disappointing.

I kinda wish now they'd just thrown money at the judges for one last season. I think All Stars would look significantly different if Matt/George and Gary stuck around for one last season. You can assume many probably declined knowing they had left, out of a sign of respect.

I'll have to catch up. I haven't seen any of the franchise, but I've seen a few clips of the last AU Season. I have it ready to watch, just, haven't had the time.
Maybe I'll get drunk one weekend and try to catch up on this season.

Posted by: Dexton 20th February 2020, 10:19 AM

Shame to see John out but I suppose if I had to choose him or Matt I’d say Matt now tbh, really hope he makes it to merge. Phoebe had two absolutely amazing back to back episodes there but man I need her to go now laugh.gif She basically made an enemy of herself by blowing $500 on herself at the auction then parading around. She expects David to protect her but tbh he could have a better ally (at least for now) in Moana that will pay off once they merge.

Flick so far has had 0 confessionals btw, less than Shane (who was voted out in episode 1) who had 5. Her commentary on Twitter is hilarious though she’s taking the absolute piss out of it laugh.gif I’m glad she sees it in good spirit, hopefully a sign that she doesn’t get voted out too soon and actually has some screen time. She did get a few scenes last night though, although according to Harry on reddit there was a lot more going on than we were shown.

I understand Survivor has to edit heaps of content out to be able to fit the time slot and still tell a story but mannnn. The behind the scenes commentary on Twitter and reddit really tells you a lot about how things go down behind the scenes and I must say I 100% never want to go on Survivor.

My ideal Top 3 right now surprisingly includes David; I didn’t like him at all last season but he’s really grown on me. It’s a huge shame that there’s all the chance that he’ll be targeted at merge as he was the mole in the original tribe and was found
Out (off screen). Harry deserves to win his game right now is going smoothly - he knows what he’s doing and is doing it well. He has great allies in Shonee and Nick (who will make merge) and gets along really well with basically everyone else. After her takedown of Abbey AND Lydia I feel like Shonee would have a great shot at the final tribal council, as would Nick. The entire little rascals laugh.gif Adopted member Flick deserves more too

I dunno; some of those contestants are those who have had association with the show; Poh, Chris, Callum etc have been on AllStars and Reynold etc has returned a huge amount of times. If any of them were to say no out of loyality, I would've expected it to be Callum, Chris and Poh (the latter in particular given how frequent she is a guest these days).

The only one of recent years who I expected to be there is the awful Matt Sinclair... and the much pushed Prince Harry lookalike. However I'm so glad Harry from Series 8 is there - was my fave that year!

In fact so many of my faves are there; Callum, Reynold, Harry, Brendan, Hayden, Dani and Hayden.

The only complaint for me is that it a bit Season 10 heavy. Rose has first out written all over her though! But its nice to see every season covered! Although technically Callum is already a 'winner' as he won the other Allstars series - but I guess technically he didn't actually win anything biggrin.gif

I'm an episode behind on Australian Survivor Allstars but damn this shit is amazing.
Where the f*** did Moana come from. She's been playing the best for a few episodes now. Hot damn.
I'm starting to go off David a bit however.

The Lockie boot to me was obvious, I saw that it was announced that he was the next Australian Bachelor. So, obviously knew his boot was aired. But, good for him. He completely redeemed himself for me.

kink.gif but I completely agree with you. Nick and Matt were my picks for Final 2. I really thought they'd be able to get out of their holes and dominate.
Shonee however has completely surprised me. I hope she makes it to Family/Friends visit and her visit is from Fenella <3

I'm giving Married At First Sight a shot for the first time, ever, starting with this AU Season.
Really great so far! I'm not sure if I understand the entire premise of the show, but I'm riding the wave for now.
Great to see very little stunt casting. Ivan however is just. Ugh.
Just onto Episode 5.

@MKR: I don't understand why Colin got to steal a team. End these stupid twists and remind yourselves THIS IS A COOKING SHOW. Why are they even in teams in the first place. WHEN DOES MASTERCHEF START?

Posted by: Aaron. 13th March 2020, 12:10 AM

I'm at the episode where they get their letters from home and I f***ing LOST IT on Moana's letter. I forgot about her sister... Her wife is stunning.
But Moana's edit is TOO GOOD to believe. She won't win. She will go soon (if she's not out already).

And then Lee got his news about his mom..... WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS TO ME. I don't think I've seen an RTV show handle that so beautifully.

SURVIVOR ALLSTARS AUSTRALIA YOU'VE BROKEN ME. One of my top ten RTV episodes ever by far.

Posted by: Aaron. 18th March 2020, 12:17 PM

MKR: Again, disappointing season thus far.. but Jake/Elle's Final Instant Restaurant was *.*. 98/100 is an unbelievable score. I'm so happy for them!
I would also love to have a Dan/Steph & Jake/Elle Final 2 AGAIN. Their season I think was one of the first I watched, and actually was when MKR was at it's height. Having those two compete again would be amazing to watch and I think would be an incredible final.

They should rest the show after this season. It hasn't been about the cooking for a LONG time now.
If not, I'll have to ditch the show next year. Married at First Sight has caught my attention.

Posted by: Aaron. 21st March 2020, 05:04 PM

Masterchef Australia starts Monday, April 13th.

Posted by: Aaron. 27th March 2020, 01:47 PM

End of MKR: Won't flog a dead horse. The best two episodes were Jake/Elle's Final Instant Restaurant (98/100) and the Final. Great result, the rest of the season was a hot mess.

The End of Australian Survivor Allstars: *.* this is not the Top 3 I expected when this season first started.
This started off STRONG but I think took a turn around the John/Matt/Phoebe votes. I didn't expect for the strong competitors to drop off so quickly. The end game also wasn't the best with such a strong alliance dominating. I wanted them to play a little bit more messy, but at the same time, proud they stuck together.

Moana I've raved about since this started, but I'm not sure if she will win at the end. Her gameplay was amazing, but I don't think the others really saw all the moves she's made and Moana isn't the most articulate either. You can see a lot of her confessionals are really pieced together. The edit is strong for Moana, so it could mean the Jury is in the dark with a lot of things.

Sharn I don't see winning at all, but I do see her in the Final 2. I'm just not sure if they Jury will give it to her, unless she has an amazing speech (which she very-well could!) or if the jury is bitter. However, I think the jury could be bitter towards Sharn. She was the low-hanging fruit and didn't make the bold moves the Jury wanted.

Dave is such the clear pick, but he was playing Moana's game. I hope Moana can find a way of articulating that. Dave I loved last year, but I loved Dave because he was the underdog. Dave wasn't the underdog this season.

Either way, we are in for an epic final. It's such a shame that because of COVID-19, we won't get a live final. This season deserved it.

The Future: both The Block and The Bachelor have halted production. I'm assuming we also aren't going to get that rumoured Big Brother season either. Masterchef is back in a few weeks. I'm trying to find out of Survivor Australia Season 8 was filmed, it's supposed to air from October - December.

Posted by: Dexton 28th March 2020, 05:11 AM

I’m 99% sure filming of next season is delayed for survivors, I saw something about it last week but lost the link. They were due to start filming the new season basically as soon as the live final aired but obviously their plans changed

There’s no way David doesn’t win. He has a very strong chance of winning the FIC as neither Mo or Sharn have been challenge threats this season. He recognises Mo’s game has been strong so I think he would take Sharn to FTC - however at the same time he has played an amazing social game so even against another threat I believe he can easily talk his way to a win. Sharn has been a complete mess this whole season, blunder after blunder and her complete refusal to make any kind of decision for herself has been noticed by literally everyone on the jury. There’s a few instances that she could claim as “moves” but more than anything it’s literally just her refusal to flip on her alliance. She could talk up a storm at FTC but still end up being rained on. The thing is with Sharn is that she has been stupid enough to believe that she can win against David at the end. She’s has countless opportunities to vote by far the biggest threat in the game out yet blantantly said “David is my shield”. Like seriously Sharn you have 0 chance against him.

Moana could potentially win if she wins the final immunity. She is smart enough not to bring Dave with her, and she clearly said last episode that David is the biggest threat and she knows he will beat anyone when it comes to jury votes. Her best bet is to win the immunity and take Sharn, votewise I reckon she could have anywhere between a landslide win and maybe losing 2-3 votes one being AK. Either way Sharn does NOT win this season. I’m not even bothered by the fact she’d place 2nd twice. If anything it’s deserved tbh, thats what you get for cruising through the entire game. Her outside friendship with Moana has definitely helped her get this far

David wins 9-0 or Mo wins 7-2

David v Mo in the FTC (very unlikely) I could potentially see a David 7-2 or 8-1 win if not 9-0

Posted by: Aaron. 31st March 2020, 12:41 AM

Well. David won. Good on him, he deserved it. But wow, they really snubbed Moana at the reunion. Is my fascination of her completely made up? I think she's amazing.
He deserved it, he played a brilliant game. But I would have loved to have known what would have happened in a Moana VS Dave Final 2.

That finale was weird tho.

Posted by: Aaron. 8th April 2020, 03:09 PM

Ending of MAFS: As I mentioned, my first visit to the Franchise and I was impressed!
I wasn't really sure what the point was, and nothing was ever explained on the show. Likkkke... do the final couples WIN the show? Is there a winner? Guess not, which is fine. Tho, I guess you can say Lizzie/Seb won because they were the only last couple.
But wow, those are terrible odds? 13 couples and 3 months in only 1 was left? That's pretty sad.

If there was ever a MAFS Canada, I'd apply. But I think I'm too ugly haha.

Stacey/Michael: Obviously the main couple of the season, they carried the whole show to be honest. I loved them, but I don't think their relationship was genuine at the end of the day. I wish they would have worked out! Apparently Michael is now dating KC (from KC and Drew).

Connie/Jonethen: First off, wow. His body is insane. She was nice, but got the insecure edit all the time which was annoying.

Mishel/Steve: God she is insufferable. I don't know how Steve put up with her. Not that I'm taking sides, Steve was wrong with a lot that he did.. but Mishel got her nose in everyone else's business.. always had something to say.. I wish they would have left the experiment at some point. It was clear they were never going to work out.

The rest aren't worth breaking down. Hayley was annoying AF, I don't see why they kept bring her back all the time to stir up shit. A lot of the later part of the season you could tell Production set up a lot of drama, but the beginning of the season was good to watch. I'll tune in next year, and will go back and watch Season 6 as well.

Start of Masterchef: I realized when I was tuning in that Masterchef Australia was the first Reality TV Show I watched from Australia. Outside of Australian Big Brother. I started probably mid-way through Season 2 and have been hooked ever since. I think out of all the Aussie RTV I've seen, Masterchef has held itself to the higher standard and has always been consistent.

Good first episode and great tie ins with the Judges and the Contestants, they left a lot unexplored so I'm excited to see all the real connections.
Great cast, I didn't realize they were all Top 12. I'm excited to see where this goes, given everything that's going on.. but I felt a deep loss when George/Matt/Gary left. It was the end of an era really.

Lego Masters started last night! I've been so hyped for this since the first season ended it's just so fun to watch! There was no elimination last night but I think there is tonight so I'm excited to see whats coming especially after the preview *.* Some amazing builds coming up I'm sure.

Andrew and Damian remind me of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy from Spongebob so much laugh.gif

I haven't watched the first week yet; but given the changes etc the ratings for the first week have been the best for the show for about 5 years. Although possibly helped by the lockdown etc.

When I read about the judges all exiting, I thought that the show was gone. However it was maybe smart of them to do this allstars series - bed in the judges and get people back with old favourite contestants before going on with another series.

They've changed a few things. 'Immunity' replaced by a safety competition, only one person is safe for the week. Everyone else cooks in the elimination on Sundays. Really annoying. I don't need to see 19 chefs cook.

Posted by: Aaron. 25th April 2020, 03:13 PM

Oh apparently Big Brother Australia is still going to happen? Something going down on Sunday according to their Facebook/Twitter

Posted by: Aaron. 28th April 2020, 11:57 PM

Masterchef Australia: still trying to figure out what's going on. Why have your eliminations on Sunday? They should go back to Sunday being the start of the week.
Also, why are they cooking so much of what they want, or what the judges want? Where are the guest judges?

Harry's early boot shocks me. That whole elimination lineup was insane. However the Masterchef AU tradition of the Men going early continues!
I do hope however there is a return competition, or a few perhaps?

Big Brother Australia: Pre-recorded, starts in 5 weeks, playing for $250k.
20 Housemates, first of which has already been revealed. Housemates range in age from 19 to 62.
Housemates will evict each other, but Australia decides the winner in a live final.

Raging at Masterchef. Lost two of my favourites really early on and I’m having to suffer through the return of Reese (my god how much weight has he lost btw!?) and Renald. Can not stand either of them. Pure heartbroken at Dani. Haven’t seen the ep yet but am gutted. She’s one of my absolute all time favourite contestants so I was so hype to see her back. Still got a few I like left but I’m glad that I spent the time watching all the old seasons on prime last year

I'm happy Dani went.. Not here for another season of her Immunity Pin Drama. Bring on the cooking! cheer.gif

Masterchef: rolleyes.gif ugh. So close. Now he's going to cook ice cream all the way to the final again.

Masterchef Australia: Shocked and saddened by ***JESS'*** elimination. I was waiting for the big one this season, but really didn't think it was going to be them. I honestly felt they were going to be Top 5 at least.

This season has just been sublime however, such a great show to take your mind off of everything going on. I had no idea they were still filming so recently as well, I would have thought they would have filmed this last year. Unfortunately as they decided to keep filming during COVID, obviously no more Restaurant or Public Challenges, it's really going to be the Top 10 always cooking in that Studio, isn't it. At least we got half a season not impacted by COVID.. will be interesting to see how the rest plays out.

Big Brother Australia Launch: That was f***ing awful. All they needed to do was recreate BBUS, like they have done with Australian Survivor. Almost unwatchable. Angela was the only decent housemate, I can't believe they're throwing more people in. Such a disappointment.

Funny you mention Survivor given this is basically Survivor but bad. Honestly who has EVER asked for Big Brother to be 0% live and focus around housemates fighting it out for immunity challenges where they get to pick who gets sent home. Like it's just not good. Sure it means they can edit the absolute hell out of it, as Australian TV regularly does in order to capitalise on marketing and engineer an often non-existent storyline, but wow the extremes they go to. Gone are the days when people can go on television and simply showcase their skills (MKR, etc.) or their personalities (BB) without being over the top at every possible interval. Nowadays you can only go on reality tv if you are either: a) controversial, whether it's your sexuality/nationality/views/attitude; or b) a pushover enough that they can force onto you a personality which revolves around your sexuality/nationality/views/attitude

loving Masterchef, more than ever, love the new judges, was so so irersome with the same old 3, but the new 3 are great, add so much freshness
Poh is hilarious, hope she wins biggrin.gif Reece is my least favourite but the program seems to love him

Except this 4-Episode Angela Arc is SENSATIONAL. She's the best RTV Contestant anyone has found in a while.

BBAU is lowkey terrible but I'm so obsessed with Angela I don't even care, icon

It's just so... odd? Like it sounds stupid but even just the BB voice, it doesn't feel right or even anything like the Big Brother we know (even the US version), it feels like a totally different game based loosely on BB. It doesn't have the fun and heart you used to get from BB Australia and it doesn't have the strategy and tense gameplay you get from BBUS, it's just kind of plodding down its own lane. The fact BBUS has more game, more challenges, and more at stake, this just feels so pointless and it doesn't even have the characters there to back it up other than Angela. Most of the rest seem like rejects from a "normal" series. Really disappointed sad.gif

Maybe it ill get better, I just watched the first episode so we'll see

Posted by: Aaron. 24th June 2020, 01:11 AM

I'm a bit behind, but I'll follow up this weekend. But you're absolutely right. It's awful.
I think it's 100% the editing. I can see the bones are there, but they're editing the show to their old 16 year old audience from the old BB Days. Not the way a competitive RTV show should be edited.

It doesn't get better with Episode 2, Liam. But there are a few good bits to come.
