Big worried this may not go to number 1.....

Maybe top 5 ?

Will Stormzy drop an album on Friday? Wouldn't surprise me......

I think Top 5 is 10000% certain tbh? It was reported that it shifted 6k on day 1 pre-sales from her website and its had weeks since to rack up sales (all won’t count towards the UK charts but still healthy numbers) plus the Amazon green vinyl hit #1 on their pre-order chart. Last week 8k was needed for #5 - I’ll say it again but press coverage will be MASSIVE for Kylie at Glastonbury which will help with the Tesco/Sainsbury’s/Asda impulse sales.

Regardless of where it ends up I’m excited to see the sales - fan purchasing plus a huge event all in the same sales week.

Not seen this before - along with the ones she’s been doing for her insta stories etc., hopefully this means we might get TV ads for week 1.

If the album can make it all the way to the Top.
Would you prefer a Number 1 debut of a number 2/3 debut and climb to Number 1 the following week?

Either would be good - I have a feeling that even if it misses the top spot it’ll hang around for a while like Dolly’s ‘Glastonbury’ GH album did (6-6-7-7-4-3-3-2-2-2-3-7-10....).

It will have a few weeks of solid chart performance which is sales beneficial.
I do however, long for the album to make it to the top.

I'm pretty sure the first week with the Glastonbury boost is its best/only shot at #1?

My thoughts are the same.
The first set of midweek information next week but reveal the chances of Number 1.
I will be nervous to open the first midweeks.

We need to see it high on Itunes on Friday morning

She has bbc breakfast promo on Thursday morning.

She on radio with Jo wiley Saturday avo.

Wonder if she will stick a remix of Step back in time to the download/streaming album to get some streams

She may not get lots of sales until during week or weekend after as she isn't preforming until Sunday afternoon. Shops will be closed afterwards etc so will be downloads Sunday evening and maybe some online orders

Will she do a price promo week one ? Like a 7.99 price or something?

Let's see!

The thing I’m most pleased about overall regardless of where it charts next week is the backing from Kylie and BMG for the project - this is not a flash in the pan GH but one that looks like will be out there long term which a legacy act like Kylie totally should have. The fact she has mentioned there could be a special edition released at Christmas means they are going to promote this for the rest of the year at least - makes me wonder if we could get the addition of a live Glastonbury CD or DVD added at some point (Dolly added her Glastonbury performances to her GH).

There is depth to the release from both Kylie and BMG and that helps present a belief in the release which is important.
A re-release later in the year is greatly welcomed if the additions are worth while.
With the material they have and option, a re-release should easily be highly attractive to fans.

She should be able to take a Top 20 position on the chart very soon.

Great that sales are picking up on Amazon - the green vinyl already reached #1 and the deluxe CD Top 10 when they were first made available, Kylie’s team are REALLY pushing pre-orders on her socials so great to see it having some impact cheer.gif

I think streaming is going to be a massive struggle - the amount of tracks, Kylie ‘best of’ playlists and the biggest streamers being discounted will all go against it. There will be some streaming sales of course but it’s all going to be down to physicals and paid for downloads.

I’ve got all 10 physical versions on the way and I’ll download on iTunes to show my support drama.gif

My Amazon orders (Green Vinyl & Standard CD) are delayed until July 2nd cry.gif If other orders are the same guessing this will impact the first set of mid sales we get.

Happy pre-release day yahoo.gif

So exciting that this is out at midnight cheer.gif Regardless of if this is a release we want or not it’s amazing that 31 years into her career Kylie is still releasing albums that are creating demand and could land her a 7th #1 album.
