In last place is ‘Like Em Young’. A bit of a meh moment for me, but I don’t hate it but it can be a bit repetitive. It received the only -1 of the entire rate from Dandystar, if it hadn’t been for this, it would have been 3 places higher in the rate. But no great loss.

17: Paradise
Average: 7

‘Paradise’ manages a 7 average, despite coming as low as 17. It sounds a bit like a Sigma produced track and really doesn’t show Tove Lo at her most creative, but overall it’s not a bad song at all.

Very little improvement in the score here. I’d probably say ‘Crave’ was my least favourite QOTC track and am glad it’s not on the UK edition.

15: Over
Average: 7.07

Another very slight increase in scores for ‘Over’, which is a nice little power ballad that I find somewhat forgettable, but listening to it now, it has some power behind it, I’d certainly have upped my 6 to a 7 for it.

I would say 'This Time Around' is fairly filler-ish, but 'Like 'Em Young' is the worst on there easily.

"Like Em Young" is kinda eh.

Kinda impressive for most of the album to measure over a 7 average, really speaks about the quality of the album.

This didn’t really many bad scores, but didn’t get any scores higher than one 9. It’s actually a very decent song. The fact that it’s as low as #14 with a 7.35 just goes to show the strength of the album.

13: Timebomb
Average:7.63

Possibly the biggest surprise of the rate for me here. ‘Timebomb’ not top 10. I expected 4/5/6 for this when I opened the rate. It was at one point a single, but I don’t know what happened there? Did it just flop? I certainly am not too upset about this charting so low here, as I’ve always found it rather underwhelming - and the talky parts very irritating, but looks like some members agree with me.

Like 'Em Young is not the worst thing on this album. Aside from being a worthy way to live your life, it's stronger than at least 3/4 other tracks (most of which have already gone out too, to be fair).

'The Way That I Am' deserves to be higher, it's pretty stunning (although lyrically clunky in the chorus, but I'll just put that down to mistranslation/broken English)

Another decent track, which you couldn’t say much that’s too negative, but it just doesn’t stand out as some of the far stronger tracks that have charted above it here.

11: My Gun
Average:7.78

Just missing out on the top 10 is ‘My Gun’, which still receives a fair amount of love from Buzzjack. ‘My Gun’ is the album opener (not including The Sex intro), and a good one at that. Perfectly sets the tone for the rest of the album. I find myself listening to ‘My Gun’ quite a lot and I always enjoy it, despite regretfully giving it a mediocre score myself.

‘Love Ballad’ kicks off the top 10. I really love this song and would have loved to have seen it go top 10, but what can you do? The best thing about ‘Love Ballad’ is that it’s not a ballad. I’ve never seen Tove Lo live, but when I eventually do, I’d love to hear this live.

9: Got Love
Average: 8

Taking the averages up to an 8 is ‘Got Love’, another absolutely fantastic moment on the album. This is, I believe, strong enough for single material - much more than ‘Timebomb’, anyway.

I would have given my 11 to the demo version of Love Ballad from a few years back, the album version just sounds a bit less vibrant in comparison.

I can't believe "Like 'Em Young' was the first to leave. Absolutely NOT the worst song in the album. God, guys!

'My Gun' could have been top 10, it's good.

'Got Love' definitely should be higher than #9, what a shame!

I'm glad "Timebomb" is gone, though. What an awful track.

Tove Lo’s biggest hit of the UK comes in at #8. Usually, a remix would be lumped together with the original but, in this case because the two versions are so different, it’s impossible to rate them in the same way. ‘Stay High’ cuts out a lot of the original song, and replaces it with extra ‘oh ohs’. And Buzzjack has chosen the original as their preferred version.

We’re getting to the really high quality Tove Lo, now. ‘Not on Drugs’ is a personal favourite of mine, though I do prefer ‘Talking Body’ as a single now. This one has a belter of a chorus and if it was successful as a single I can imagine it being quite a moment if this ever came on in a club-like situation.

In celebration that I just bought tickets to see her, here's some results.

Kicking off the top 5 is the Lucas Nord produced ‘Run on Love’. Not my favourite track, I don’t quite see how this has gotten to the top 5, but it’s not up to me, Buzzjack has spoken.

4: Habits (Stay High)
Average: 8.7

Bringing up the average a bit is the original version of Habits, which, while not doing much in the UK, is Tove Lo’s biggest song, worldwide being a 3x certificated hit in America, and Buzzjack chose this as the more superior of the two versions. But they didn’t like it enough for it to be top 3.

My personal favourite Tove Lo single here. I think, lyrically, it’s just stunning, and there’s a really melancholic tone to the song which strikes a chord with me. This is the next single, I hear - Where’s the video?!

bringing us into the 9 averages for the top 2 is the huge tune that is Thousand Miles. This should be number 1 everywhere, forever.

1: Talking Body
Average: 9.3

And there we have it! The recent hit 'Talking Body' takes the Queen of The Clouds rate crown. 'Talking Body' is a song that was steadily blowing up in America (now 2x Platinum there), and was somewhat of a sleeper hit over here, which after a rocky start has stayed very stable in the top 100, and will soon by Tove Lo's second certificated single over here (3rd including 'Heroes'). 'Talking Body' is a huge anthem and the UK top 40 is LUCKY to have had Tove Lo Grace her presence with this track at all . She's got a perfect song.

Habits is in my all time top 40 to be honest, anything else feels like a disappointing winner I'd put TB below Habits, Thousand Miles and probably Out Of Mind but it's a great track anyway of course.


Love Ballad only 10th though?! :/
