Hometown Glory should hopefully win.

46. "Lovesong" - track ten from 21 (score 6.19)

45. "Crazy For You" - track five from 19 (score 6.45)

44. "Painting Pictures" track thirteen from 19 (score 6.53)

43. "Need You Now" bonus from track from 21 (score 6.68)

42. "That's It, I Quit, I'm Movin' On" track three from 19 disc 2 (score 6.82)

41. "Lay Me Down" track thirteen from 25 (score 6.94)

Kicking off the first six tracks of the rate we have a range of songs from all three albums 19, 21 and 25, two of which are deluxe tracks from their respective albums. I'm quite surprised to see Lovesong so low but then at the same time I am quite pleased Crazy For You came in second from last. For me there are no major fatalities in this round of the results but Lovesong did receive a -1 and an 11 so there is still quite some love for it. The Tobias Jesso Jr penned track "Lay Me Down" is a bit of a grower, but in comparison of the songs that are yet to come it definitely deserves it's place at the bottom of the rate. Poor "That's It, I Quit, I'm Movin' On" even received a 0 from Dandy and I believe I was the highest rater on this one with a 9.

Only Massive shame is Lovesong sad.gif

Posted by: SamJudd 12th March 2016, 06:22 PM

No surprises so far, apart from "Lovesong", as I do like that one, but coming from such a strong album though, it had to happen.

Posted by: noahspike 12th March 2016, 06:22 PM

Aww, 'Lovesong' taking the wooden spoon is a bit of a travesty sad.gif. I get why people wouldn't take to it as the whole thing feels quite bleak and lifeless and repetitive, but all of that really works with the song's sentiment for me.

And I really like her verison of 'Need You Now' with Darius Rucker, possibly even more than the original.

It is a shame but then again I imagine most would rate it in their lower half for 21.

Sorry for the delay in the results continuing - I got so excited with preparing to see her on Friday I got very sidetracked!

40. "Now And Then" track fourteen from 19 (score 7.01)

39. "Can't Let Go" track twelve from 25 (score 7.17)

38. "Why Do You Love Me" track fourteen from 25 (score 7.46)

37. "First Love" track seven from 19 (score 7.52)

36. "I Miss You" track three from 25 (score 7.63)

Kicking off round two of the results we have another 19 deluxe track of Now And Then. Averaging at a 7.01, this songs lowest score was a 3 from Dandy and a 9 from Callam Hood made it the highest score for that song. Yet another track I am indifferent to from 19 but I get the feeling from a song that scored most middle mark scores that I am not the only one. Up next is the bonus track "Can't Let Go" from 25 which is probably my favourite of the Target deluxe tracks, with four people including Jester, Karma and Burbe giving it a 7. It's such a shame only in the US were there deluxe tracks as this one is certainly a great one. Why Do You Love Me the final deluxe track from 25 is ahead at number 38 by some distance. Only 0.06 points infront at number 37 is another track from 19, First Love, which is not one I particularly re-listen to but has faired quite poorly as the fifth "19" track to leave thus far. Yet the first proper fatality so far is track three from 25, "I Miss You", which generally got a lot of praise when 25 was released back in November. A lot of people drew comparisons to Florence And The Machine, even with the track getting one eleven overall and Liam was one of four people to give it a score of 9. I can't help be bitter that All I Ask wasn't the first standard edition track to leave. In the next round we lose one of the biggest songs from 21, any guesses as to which though?

I'm surprised it is so low, I expected it to be a lot higher!

Posted by: Noahspike 21st March 2016, 02:35 PM

Yeah I thought 'I Miss You' would have more support too. Don't quite get the draw of the song myself though. The instrumentation and lyrics are great and it all sounds very 'impressive', but there's not enough there to really hook me in and want to listen again. I guess it lacks a strong melody - something I always appreciate in her stuff.

It pales in comparison as well to the rest of 25 I find with lack of meaning.

35. "Take It All" track seven from 21 (score 7.78)

34. "Sweetest Devotion" track eleven from 25 (score 7.85)

33. "My Same" track ten from 19 (score 7.93)

32. "Rumour Has It" track two from 21 (score 7.96)

31. "Melt My Heart To Stone" track six from 19 (score 7.99)

I absolutely adore Adele's description of the track "Take It All". Much like the track Remedy with 25, the song kick started the writing of the album 21 and was the only song written for the notorious break up album while Adele was still with her boyfriend. Frank was one of two people to give this one a 10, and with a gosepl twinge (quoting Adele wahey!) it's certainly an excellent addition to 21. Up next is my second to least favourite standard edition 25 track, Sweetest Devotion. Adele is probably my favourite artist, but I can't help think of her decision over including her sons laugh on this track when she is so keen to protect him from the public and give him a normal childhood. Then again I believe other artists including Beyonce have done this, so it's not entirely new ground. A pleasant track to say the least, this is roughly where I'd pitch the track overall. American Oxygen rated the track with a 3, which is one of the lowest marks as Sweetest Devotion mostly received top end marks of 6's and 7's. Just infront are two of my favourites tracks - My Same and Rumour Has It (cry.gif). My Same was written about the childrens author Laura Dockrill, Adele's best friend and Rumour Has It was inspired by her own friends believing rumours and speculation over the break up and Adele's subsequent attempts at dating. Rumour Has It is the first track from the singles section of the rate to leave, which pains me as Mace Spindu and Bart both gave it 6.5. Closing the round (very narrowly), we have Melt My Heart To Stone which comes in a number 31 with an aveage score of 7.99. 19 suffers major blows next round, with three more tracks going, but will 25 or 21 be most safe? PREDICTIONS PLEASE!

Posted by: Ethan Bradberry 25th March 2016, 07:07 PM

Rumour Has It very low ohmy.gif

Posted by: Riser 27th March 2016, 04:08 AM

Sweetest Devotion AND Rumour Has It so low?? cry.gif cry.gif Is the top 30 really that strong that those two couldn't make it? ohmy.gif

Posted by: Noahspike 27th March 2016, 04:36 PM

Mostly fond of that section, though I've never cared at all for 'Take It All'. I like the story behind 'My Same' and generally enjoy songs about artists' (platonic) friendships as it's not a theme explored enough in mainstream music I feel. Always found some of the lyrics a bit clumsy though which detracts from it. 'Sweetest Devotion' is quite a touching and fitting final thought on '25', and 'Rumour Has It' is always great to hear, if marred a little by its underwhelming chorus after such a captivating lead-in. 'Melt My Heart To Stone' is so underrated though - in another world it'd be a signature track of hers. Sounds like such a classic to me. <3

Posted by: JoeyJeppssonWall 27th March 2016, 05:28 PM

Melt My Heart To Stone is RIDICULOUSLY low. Really disappointed in that.

30. "River Lea" track seven fom 25 (score 8.08)

29. "Right As Rain" track eight from 19 (score 8.14)

28. "Make You Feel My Love" track nine from 19 (score 8.14)

27. "Daydreamer" track one from 19 (score 8.27)

26. "Skyfall" soundtrack song for "Skyfall" (2012) (score 8.28)

In at 30 we have "River Lea". Adele describes the song as you can take a girl out of Tottenham but you can't take Tottenham out of her, and pays homage to her roots. Given the themes of growing up and progressing into adulthood I was surprised that this song was snubbed on the setlist of the current tour. None the less it has faired not too badly with an average of just over eight and has had general praise across the rate. Next up at 29 is Right As Rain, taken from 19 and was featured in a few television shows such as The Inbetweeners and is on her setlist for her previous tour. Up next I'm surprised to see Make You Feel My Love in at 28 with an average score of 8. Arguably one of her biggest songs, the original never really appealed to me. Following this is the guitar led Daydreamer is considerably ahead and is the song fans have aligned to in order to get their "fandom" name from. Last in this round is the James Bond track Skyfall, which is VERY narrowly infront of Daydreamer. Without being bias it's probably my James Bond track there is, but it's definitely finished round about where it should in my opinion. Double whammys for 21 and 25 coming out in the next round as we edge closer to the top 20!

Posted by: Riser 7th May 2016, 03:39 PM

Wow, two more singles dropping out already! I definitely expected a lot better for "Skyfall" in particular. At least the top 10 won't be quite as predictable now.

Posted by: Noahspike 7th May 2016, 05:26 PM

Sean, that performance of 'Daydreamer' is perhaps my favourite live performance she's ever done heart.gif, and happens to be her TV debut too. The camerawork really complements the entrancing feel of the whole thing. Gorgeous, timeless song (and live delivery). Goes without saying that it deserved better here. cry.gif

'Right As Rain' is another '19' highlight, and I'm surprised 'Make You Feel My Love' only made #28, as overexposed as it is.

I always felt 'Skyfall' did its job expertly but is too 'style over substance' to rank among her best stuff, so that placing seems fine to me.

Sorry for the delay in results, uni took over my life and didn't get time to write sufficient write ups or post results!

25. "Million Years Ago" track nine from 25 (score 8.36)

24. "Best For Last" track two from 19 (score 8.40)

23. "He Won't Go" track six from 21 (score 8.44)

22. "Remedy" track five from 25 (score 8.44)

21. "I'll Be Waiting" track eight from 21 (score 8.46)

Up next, we have my fifth favourites from 25 and one of my favourite tracks in this rate, Million Years Ago. This song received decent scores I thought and I recall it being a trend on Twitter shortly after release. Adele subsequently promoted it in the US and performed it on her tour, a personal highlight for me. Narrowly infront we have Best For Last and He Won't Go. Above these in a close call, we have Remedy, the first track Adele penned for 25 dedicated to her family, boyfriend and her son. Ryan Tedder produced, this scored reasonably well and has done favourably well out of the 25 tracks. Finishing last is my favourite song after RITD from 21, I'll Be Waiting which breaks the mold of "boring and slow". Adele herself describes it as a "rare fast one so if you want to move nows the time to do it".

Posted by: SeanGrey 4th July 2016, 09:55 AM

20. "Tired" track eleven from 19 (score 8.48)

19. "Hiding My Heart" bonus track from 21 (score 8.48)

18. "I Found A Boy" bonus track from 21 (score 8.49)

17. "Cold Shoulder" track four from 19 (score 8.58)

16. "One and Only" track nine from 21 (score 8.65)

Some of the best written Adele tracks in this lot! ohmy.gif

One of the few 19 tracks remaining, in at 20 we have Tired averaging 8.48 and sits quite favourably within the top 20. As well we have Hiding My Heart, a 21 deluxe track, as is number 18's I Found A Boy. Infront we have the criminally underrated Mark Ronson track Cold Shoulder (which Adele herself snubs on her setlists!!!!!) and One And Only, which averaged at 8.65. Next round coming up soon with some 25 taking a real bashing...

Posted by: Riser 4th July 2016, 11:36 PM

"Cold Shoulder" is higher than I expected actually, I used to love it a lot but not so much now. I'm happy with 16th for "One and Only" though I would personally rank it higher, what a beauty wub.gif

15. "If It Hadn't Been For Love" track six from Adele Live At The Royal Albert Hall (score 8.66)

14. "Don't You Remember" track four from 21 (score 8.79)

13. "Love In The Dark" track eight from 25 (score 8.81)

12. "Send My Love (To Your New Lover) track two from 25 (score 8.89)

11. "All I Ask" track ten from 25 (score 8.94)

Covered on her second tour, If It Hadn't Been For Love comes in at 15. Included on the Royal Albert DVD, Adele has performed this a few times including at the iTunes festival. Up next comes Don't You Remember at 14 and at 13 Love In The Dark, my favourite track from 25. Another two casualties from 25 being Send My Love and All I Ask, both scoring just under 9 points each.

Posted by: Burbe G 15th October 2016, 10:04 AM

Is All I Ask really that high?! It's easily her most overrated song.

Posted by: rob s 15th October 2016, 10:45 AM

I know it's been hugely overplayed/exposed but I'm surprised Make You Feel My Love is that low ohmy.gif

10. "Turning Tables" track three from 21 (score 8.96)

9. "When We Were Young" track four from 25 (score 9.00)

8. "Chasing Pavements" track two from 19 (score 9.09)

7. "Someone Like You" track eleven from 21 (score 9.39)

6. "Rolling In The Deep" track one from 21 (score 9.64)

We have Turning Tables kicking off the top ten with one of my absolute favourites When We Were Young coming in next, very narrowly though. Triple wammy of singles follows on with Rolling In The Deep missing out on that top five placing cry.gif

Posted by: mr_pmt 23rd October 2016, 03:38 PM

I#m a bit dismayed 'Chasing Pavements' is that high, hate it so much.
