I'd definitely like to send something from Plastic Beach or a newer track now I've done three in a row from the oldest two albums.

On Melancholy Hill is a very good idea, I've seen how well that has done in ROTD over the years and there's not many special rounds it can fit into. Other big options from Plastic Beach are Some Kind Of Nature, Rhinestone Eyes, Empire Ants - too few singles from that album.

Could also use it as an opportunity to put in a Song Machine thing and send Momentary Bliss.

My favourite song off of Humanz is Ascension but I know people like Saturnz Barz - though I feel it wouldn't be very popular for some reason(?) or Andromeda as well.

If we do The Now Now it's got to be Tranz.

Based on what we've done so far (for variety) and upcoming rounds, my gut is telling me On Melancholy Hill or Ascension.

My ideas for album track are:

Empire Ants - slow first half but builds up to a glorious finish
Fire Coming Out Of The Monkey’s Head - weird left field song
Out Of Body - I think my best attempt to snare voters from those who haven’t voted Gorillaz thus far, if that’s a worthwhile endeavour.

There’s also the problem of whether to count Rhinestone Eyes as an album track or not. I think it is, and I have a later round earmarked for it on that basis, but I’m wrong then I might accidentally not get to use it.

Had another idea too... Submission - excellent vocals from Kelela and a great rap that finishes it off!

I think I'll decide it between these two now bar massive protests (lol x) because they both show off a very different side to Gorillaz to what I've chosen so far and get in something off Humanz - any other suggestions of course welcome.

First single!

So that means:

Clint Eastwood
Feel Good Inc
Stylo
Revolving Doors
Saturnz Barz
Humility
Momentary Bliss

My plan is to save Feel Good Inc for later by the way so not that one.

This will be a tough round - though I think I'm fine with taking a risk or two given I can probably count on certain people fairly reliably with most choices.

Clint Eastwood would definitely be the safest, but Stylo would be a good, out-there choice if you wanted to take a risk.

I thought about Stylo, I think there's still a good round I can use it for though, I ended up going with Momentary Bliss because I decided it was a great opportunity to show a Song Machine song, and I love its energy.

didn't want to play it safe with Clint Eastwood

The Uptempo round is sorta difficult because I'd classify most Gorillaz tracks as midtempos, they don't really do the whole pop dichotomy of uptempo vs ballad.

This is the other round I thought Stylo would be good for but there's also the encouragement to send album tracks - after the reaction to Momentary Bliss (which was exactly what I expected, I think we just suffered from some of the right people not voting) I'm tempted to double down with something like Superfast Jellyfish. Glitter Freeze and Some Kind Of Nature are pretty lively songs that could work here though.

If I want to be conciliatory though Out Of Body I guess could fit and I did also want to send that.

Any help? I'll listen to opinions this time round now I've sent something from all the most major Gorillaz eras.

Yeah I’m kinda stumped too, “Uptempo” isn’t really Gorillaz thing

Well, it panned out alright, there were a few nice comments about Out Of Body - including the ones that were along the lines of 'I can't believe Gorillaz isn't in my bottom two!!' - I see you guys x

So, last single time.

We have:
Tomorrow Comes Today
El Mañana*
On Melancholy Hill**
Revolving Doors/Amarillo
Strobelite
Tranz

*The 4th and final single from Demon Days was a double A-Side with El Mañana and Kids With Guns but as El Mañana is a) the one with the video and b) vastly better, that's the one I'm putting up here
**Officially using this to say Rhinestone Eyes wasn't a single and so I can put it as my lead contender for the upcoming 'should have been a single' round

My dilemma right now is El Mañana vs Tranz, the two best tracks still available from that list. I think Tranz is the best track on The Now Now, hands down, and it's pretty funky - but then El Mañana is probably Gorillaz' best "ballad"/emotional song - and we won't be able to use it for the downtempo round because of its couple of weeks top 40 back in 2006 xx

So which one? Pretty torn here.

I like El Mañana, I think I'd have to listen to Tranz as I don't recognise it by title

True, but as far as I'm aware, it's loosely enforced because normally rounds are revealed(?), we are at the point in the game now where I want to strategise a bit based on what songs I will get to send in the remaining rounds, and I figured that people would be reasoning that if there was an uptempo round...
