i don’t see croatia getting it either. ireland are being a lil overhyped too unfortunately . if italy get a good running spot i think its theirs, or its just gonna be israel

I think the odds always go mad at this point as the Bookies react to social media etc., - I remember when they had Hera Bjork as a hot favourite (still an iconic song and deserved better).

Ireland are totally being over hyped. Yes - it's an astonishing performance but the jury won't give it enough love and it'll still trail behind Netherlands and Croatia in the televote.

...or so I believe.

From memory it’s about now in 2018 when Fuego overtook Toy in the odds, causing many to think there’d be the third shock winner in a row after Ukraine and Portugal (beating long time odds favourites Russia and Italy respectively) but Netta held on in the end. That year also had a huge rise for Ireland in the odds from the moment they qualified that didn’t translate into a big result in the final.

The only other close year in recent times, 2021, I think Italy had reached #1 in the odds by now (getting ahead of the battle between Switzerland, Malta and France) but it still came as a great surprise when that huge public vote came in. I’ll be very happy for a Croatia win this time, a cheap country who’ve never won before (1989 doesn’t count) would be ideal for next year!

Israel won't win. It's just ok and there is a lot of controversy surrounding the entry being in thr contest at all.

Poland was actually relaly good!! Shoulda qualified

Good to see most bookies paying out 4 places for each-way punters for the Eurovision final.

Closest odds have Hurricane at 3.75 and Rim Tim Tagi Dim at 2.1, the former is pretty much shortening across the board and the latter is lengthening :/

I did see the odds shortening quickly an hour ago when they were still out at 12/1, but I've got no interest in profiteering from their participation.

I will cross my fingers for a miracle.

Hurricane is already No.27 on UK iTunes too, I know it means little ultimately but The Code and Europapa are not top 100 (Kaleen is top 40 interestingly, but that's very UK-coded).
