Chart 31.3.23

This week is all about Lana Del Rey! As she unveils her 9th studio album it dominates the chart. The closing track 'Taco Truck x VB' which samples her 2019 track Venice Bitch tops the chart becoming Lana's first #1 while the 2nd single from the album 'A&W' rebounds back to its peak at #2. Last weeks #1 from Taylor drops to #3, while 'All Of The Girls...' is at #4. Mimi Webb's 'Roles Reversed' rebounds to the top 5 at #5.

Outside the top 10 from Lana: lead single and title track climbs majorly (up a huge 35 spots) back to the top 20 at #13! Latest single 'The Grants' is also a big climber, now at #14. 2 more tracks enter the top 20; the mysterious 'Paris, Texas' which features and samples SYML is new at #15 while 'Peppers' which also samples and features canadian rapper Tommy Genesis is at #16. Soft piano track 'Kinsugi' is at #26, 'Margaret' featuring Bleachers is at #27. In traditional Lana fashion we have a song with a crazily long name: 'Grandfather please stand on the shoulders of my father while he's deep-sea fishing' is at #29, like 'Paris, Texas' and 'Peppers' it samples and so features RIOPY. 'Candy Necklace' feat. John Batiste is at #31, 'Sweet' is at #33, 'Let The Light In' featuring Father John Misty is at #34 and 'Fishtail' is at #35. The only song (excluding the 2 interludes) not to chart is 'Fingertips'.

Other new entries come from FLO. The new girlgroup bring in Missy Elliott for latest single 'Fly Girl' which opens at #20, while an updated rock version of 'Heart Attack' by Demi Lovato is at #21! There is only one other new entry from Rina Sawayama at #39, her single for the latest John Wick film 'Eye For An Eye' debuts!
