This makes me think they're going to land at #3 in the Sound of 2015 if it's premiering tomorrow. I hope to be proven wrong as they deserve the #1 spot.

nah I think since they're premiering it tomorrow night, it means r1 can use it as their TOTD the next day

I like it more than I liked 'Desire' on the first listen (and I ended up loving that), it's very instant! Sounds like a hit to me. 
Ahhh, his voice is such a pure delight.

Love this. 'Take Shelter' is their favoruite from me still. Hoping that gets a re-release at some point.

funny you should mention an album noah, apparently it is coming in june.
tbh i'm not especially excited for a full length, they are good for a quick *.* moment but on the basis of the similar instrumentation on most of the singles so far i can foresee it all blending into one
'king' is the height of disposable pop music; the initial joy and love is already fading

Interesting, you may be right on an album being a bit samey - can't say they've shown much diversity in their sound so far but I've loved everything I've heard.
By the way, for anyone interested, this cover is amazing. Been playing on a loop for the last few days.

it is a good cover and his voice is beautiful but the facial expressions are v offputting also they have no plans to re-release 'take shelter'

I do really like "King" but it's so similar to "Desire", I don't know why they've decided to release them back-to-back. In terms of expectations for an album, they have slightly deviated from their style on "Memo" (free on http://yearsandyearsofficial.com/, along with "Take Shelter") - it's nowhere near as good as the three singles that I've heard but it at least gives me hope for a more diverse range of songs that will appear on the LP. I hope they get a big hit out of "King" anyway, as they're the Sound of... winner/Critics' Choice nominee that I've most looked forward to material from since HAIM/Ellie Goulding respectively.

but this isn't one that will be remembered down the line. i maintain it's ultra-disposable.FUN FACT: the video had the same choreographer as the 'chandelier' video

I'm still enjoying 'King' but I don't like it as much as their other singles. I don't find the hook in this as brilliant as some of their others. But I really, really love the instrumental on this.

I can't believe it's still not been released yet, it's as if the record company doesn't want it to sell anything outside of week one 
It could've been released this week or next and still made the #1 spot...

I really think they do sound quite similar. The tempo is probably a bit slower on 'Something New' though.
