The tenth series of BGT returns on ITV tomorrow at 7PM. The judging panel remains the same for the fifth straight year & the golden buzzer also makes a return. After all the controversy of last year will anyone be watching this series? If so, what type of act would you like to see prevail, will this be the year we finally see a magician take the crown?

Posted by: Common Sense 8th April 2016, 09:03 PM

Yes I'll be watching every week. Love this show much more than X Factor.

Posted by: burbe 8th April 2016, 09:05 PM

Oooh good! BGT remains the best talent show on TV, imo. So entertaining and has a great vibe to the show which the likes of X Factor and The Voice lack.

Posted by: Common Sense 8th April 2016, 09:32 PM

Look out for 12 year-old girl singer Beau who gets Amanda's Golden Buzzer tomorrow, singing Defying Gravity, from Wicked.

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 8th April 2016, 11:45 PM

So excited for this!

Have seen quite a few of the auditions as went to one of the sessions back in January heart.gif Really hope I don't end up on TV though as I was pretty close to the front!!!

Also expect Say Something to get ANOTHER massive boost from a Simon Cowell talent show some point during these auditions!

Posted by: bipolar angel 9th April 2016, 01:33 PM

i won't really be watching it

if their's an act someone says- oh they are really good, you need to check them out, then maybe i'll watch them.#

and i'm going to tune in tonight to watch " the most dangerous act ever on the show" what ever that might be.

but i'm not going to be a regular watcher

Posted by: Common Sense 10th April 2016, 02:27 PM

The knife man was very good and so were the girl singer, Beau and the dog was great as well.

Posted by: Dobbo 12th April 2016, 08:22 PM

Yeah that sword guy was amazing, such a refreshing act to see on the show after the plethora of singer/dance troupes/dare I even say DOG ACTS nowadays?!

He was literally the only one who got my interest up in this series (though the girl singer was very good too). Probably my favourite act since Stevie Starr.

Loved Another Shade of Blue, a more technological version of Attraction with the addition of a bit of Eurovision 2016's Greta Salóme with the shadow hands. Can't wait to see what they have in store for the semi-finals!

It's a shame I had to watch them with the sound turned off sad.gif They should have used Snow Patrol.

Posted by: Dobbo 17th April 2016, 11:09 AM

Yeah overall the standard was a lot higher on last night's show! Another Shade Of Blue were incredible, much prefer that type of visual dance act to the Diversity rip-offs nowadays, I'd go as far to say I preferred them over Attraction actually as there was interaction with the visuals as well as each other!

The magician was great too, define thinking outside the box in terms of his type of act & someone who I'd have no idea what they'd do for the Semis.

Agreed. Diversity were great, but part of that was because they were something different. Other dance acts also need to do something different. Attraction did that a few years ago and Another Shade Of Blue did it last night.

Posted by: Common Sense 17th April 2016, 10:32 PM

After just 2 shows, Beau Dermott is the bookies favourite to win this year and apparently has had millions of Youtube views.

Posted by: Jade 23rd April 2016, 07:50 PM

Slightly living for the 'Crazy In Love' couple *_* Just knew David was going to be all over that haha.

And there was me thinking they were terrible. It's not been a vintage night so far.

Posted by: Dobbo 23rd April 2016, 08:05 PM

Agreed. Nothing has impressed me of note yet, the dancer was decent but nothing we haven't seen before.

Posted by: Jester 23rd April 2016, 08:10 PM

I loved Balance - he deserved that golden buzzer I reckon.

Posted by: Dobbo 23rd April 2016, 08:19 PM

Nothing looked all that promising in the coming soon segment neither, hope they haven't used all the good acts up in first 2 shows...

Posted by: Suedehead2 23rd April 2016, 08:20 PM

Balance was easily the best act on tonight.

Posted by: Juranamo 23rd April 2016, 08:22 PM

Katherine Jenkins on BGT... Oh wait, Kathleen even! laugh.gif

Posted by: Liаm 24th April 2016, 01:06 AM

OMG THE CRAZY IN LOVE COUPLE !!! My friend just showed me them.

Posted by: troublepink 24th April 2016, 12:33 PM

Crazy in love couple looked like something off Phoenix Nights laugh.gif

Posted by: Mart!n 7th May 2016, 08:18 PM

just caught the last half an hour of this, I don't usually watch it, as there was nothing else on TV to watch, but those storm troopers were good, especially the bum wiggle during Beyonce's track laugh.gif

Posted by: Joe. 12th May 2016, 12:08 PM

Semi performers:

Sunday 22nd: Motown; The Musical Cast
Monday 23rd: OneRepublic
Tuesday 24th: Nick Jonas
Wednesday 25th: Jules, Matisse and Friends
Thursday 26th: Fifth Harmony

A mixed bag, but a much better line-up than last year, I think you'll all agree. I am quite confident Little Mix will be on the final.

Posted by: Taylor Jago 12th May 2016, 05:56 PM

Well, at least it's better than last year's line-up.

Fifth Harmony though puke.gif

Posted by: Dobbo 12th May 2016, 06:19 PM

5H are the only ones I'm looking forward to out of those!

I wasn't looking forward to any of them last year so yes that is an improvement.

Posted by: Jade 12th May 2016, 10:19 PM

Oh yes that looks better than last year when they had Ricky Martin perform *_*

Little Mix would be an excellent pick for the final! Really hope they'll go with them.

Posted by: Suedehead2 15th May 2016, 12:16 PM

Just catching up on last night's show and - surprise, surprise - we've had the annual "Have you got another song" moment. It was obvious from the moment she started her original song that it was coming. They simply don't allow people of that age to put in such a poor performance unless there's something better to come.

I was gobsmacked when she said that she was 15.

In tonight's semi-final:

100 Voices of Gospel
Ben Blaque
Darren Altman
Kathleen Jenkins
Mel & Jamie
Richard Bayton
Spartans Resurrection
Total TXS
Ystrad Fawr Dancers

Posted by: Dobbo 22nd May 2016, 04:10 PM

Finally caught up with this. The standard picked up a little bit in the last few shows but my word there is some right dross in this year's Semis. For one I'm glad they narrowed down the indistinguishable dance groups but the other hand there are FAR too many boring singing acts, particularly the family groups - there is literally no market for these type of acts.

Posted by: Hazza Chapman 22nd May 2016, 06:00 PM

Who is the bookies favourite for this?

Posted by: Dobbo 22nd May 2016, 06:05 PM

I believe it's the 12 year old singer who appeared on the first show can't remember her name. Amanda's golden buzzer act.

Which means she won't be the winner...

Posted by: Dobbo 22nd May 2016, 06:39 PM

Hopefully that's the worst act out of the way, though I'm not holding my breath.

Posted by: Dobbo 22nd May 2016, 07:57 PM

Genuinely the worst Semi I've ever watched. The impressionist was the only one I moderately enjoyed and even then he was much better in the auditions.

Things can only get better!

Posted by: Rooney 22nd May 2016, 07:58 PM

Very boring show.

Must say, I did like that choir. Hated the audition, but that was great!

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 22nd May 2016, 07:59 PM

That semi was awful bar the choir, absolutely loved them ❤️

My votes:
8x Choir
1x Kathleen
1x The mother and son

Posted by: Dobbo 22nd May 2016, 08:01 PM

How I'd rank them:
Darren Altman
Total TXS
Spartan Resurrection
Ben Blaque
100 Voices of Gospel
Ystrad Fawr Dancers
Kathleen Jenkins
Richard Bayton
Mel & Jamie

The arrow guy... I don't get how that was remotely dangerous. Could have easily told Alesha what lever not to pick.

Posted by: JoeyJeppssonWall 22nd May 2016, 08:04 PM

100 Voices of Gospel were AMAZING and by far and away the best of the night. No-one else was that good (shame for Darren Altman because I love a good impressionist and he is just that, the act itself just wasn't up to much).

Posted by: Jade 22nd May 2016, 08:08 PM

Yeah that was one of the weakest BGT semis I've ever watched. A shame it was the first show as it's stifled my hype for the rest of the live shows a bit. sad.gif Just not being wowed by much. The choir however were great!

Posted by: dandy* 22nd May 2016, 08:10 PM

The arrow act was rubbish. Missed two of the three balloons. And then Alisha didn't pull two levers, the rigged machine just fired two (and even the second arrow missed the target!) - he didn't even fire the last one after he'd moved to prove it would have hit him, presumably a bit scared to after it misfired first time around!

Posted by: Dobbo 22nd May 2016, 08:23 PM

I'm still holding hopes for this series yet. Another Kind Of Blue will be amazing hopefully! Also looking forward to the sword swallower & the magician for the sake of variety.

Posted by: Suedehead2 22nd May 2016, 08:38 PM

I wasn't a big fan of the choir, but I'm sure they'll be in the top three. I suspect the others will be Spartas Resurrection and the mother and son. Every semi has to have one act that is completely rubbish. Tonight it was the first act.

Posted by: dandy* 22nd May 2016, 08:39 PM

I'm expecting the top 3 to be the choir, the woman who cleans toilets and now sings & finally the impressionist despite being below his best.

(actually, yes, the mother and son could do well but I'd completely forgotten about them!)

Posted by: Dobbo 22nd May 2016, 08:44 PM

Agree with dandy*, choir will go through automatically then the next 2 will be the welsh singer & the impressionist to which the judges will no doubt pick the singer :sigh:

Also it's a shame they can't have a relevant artist perform tonight...

Posted by: Jade 22nd May 2016, 08:46 PM

I think we will end up with a top 3 of all singing acts.

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 22nd May 2016, 08:49 PM

Going for:
Automatically- Choir
Final 3- Kathleen Jenkins, Mother and Son with Kathleen going through

Posted by: dandy* 22nd May 2016, 08:55 PM

Oh I said to Mr D* that I wished they would do the results in reverse order and they are doing!

Posted by: Dobbo 22nd May 2016, 08:56 PM

oh REALLY British Public?!?! 3 singing acts drama.gif

Posted by: Dobbo 22nd May 2016, 09:00 PM

Well no one at all saw that coming rolleyes.gif

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 22nd May 2016, 09:01 PM

I liked the Mother and son but would have preferred Kathleen through!
I thought she was quite good tonight but her audition of Wild Horses was probably my favourite wub.gif

Posted by: Dobbo 22nd May 2016, 09:03 PM

My 2 favourite acts tomorrow in Alex Magala & Another Kind Of Blue! Why do they have to be in the same semi sad.gif

Hate pretty much every other act though laugh.gif

Posted by: dandy* 22nd May 2016, 09:04 PM

Would probably rather Kathleen was chosen but the other two were okay enough too. I'd rather have seen the impressionist through for variety though, his act wasn't on top form tonight but I always find the final underwhelming if it's full of singers.

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 22nd May 2016, 09:08 PM

I love 5 of the acts tomorrow, going to be a hard night to vote unless they mess up!

(My favourites are David's Golden Buzzer, the Wayne jazz singer, Another Kind Of Blue, the couple who danced to Wings and the mom and 3 sisters heart.gif)

Posted by: Suedehead2 22nd May 2016, 09:08 PM

I had the same problem with the impressionist as Simon Cowell. I had no idea who several of his impressions were meant to be. Why didn't he do Mary Berry?

Posted by: Jade 22nd May 2016, 09:09 PM

The gospel choir rightfully sailing through, easily the standout of the night!

I wasn't really that fussed about either of the other two as neither did much for me tonight. But I preferred the mother/son act's audition so yay I guess.

Posted by: Common Sense 22nd May 2016, 09:40 PM

Same here. Several acts weren't as good as their auditions.

By the way, the bookies favourite isn't the 12 year old singer, Beau Dermott, but the soldier magician. Another Kind Of Blue are 2nd favourites followed by Beau third.

Posted by: Common Sense 22nd May 2016, 09:50 PM

It's been announced that sword swallower Alex will not perform live as his act is more risky than his audition and is considered too dangerous for live TV. Also it takes more time to set up precisely than they have between acts, even allowing for an ad break. He'll still perform in front of the studio audience and all the judges, either after the night before's live semi-final or just before the live show when he's due to appear. Apparently he begged the BGT bosses to let him do it live but they refused.

Posted by: Mack 22nd May 2016, 10:20 PM

It would be just before the semis when the sword act performs, I reckon. There hasn't been an standout act for me this year apart from 100 Voices of Choir who were very good tonight. I'm sure Kathleen would be a strong possibility for the wildcard entry.

As for Queen Leah and Peter Pan sorry Mel + Jamie it was just too Disney for me, a bit weird for some reason.

Just found out that the final of Britain's Got Talent is on at the same time as the Champions League final sad.gif

Decisions Decisions...........

----------------

Very predictable top 3 from tonight. Tomorrow's two acts going through will be the husband & wife dancers and the cockney geezer who sings like an American person in the 1930's.

Posted by: Hazza Chapman 22nd May 2016, 10:50 PM

I wish the singers would just go on X Factor, Britain's Got Talent is better than that programme because there is a lot more variety.

ITV only show the highlights now, it's BT Sport that show the live matches. I think there was a time when they moved Britain's Got Talent final to another day because of a Champions League final but I can't remember which year that was.

Posted by: Common Sense 23rd May 2016, 07:27 AM

I think 100 Voices Of Gospel, whilst not my favourites, will win this now.

Hope Kathleen gets one of the two wild cards.

Posted by: Jade 23rd May 2016, 07:43 PM

That was insane omg. Finalist please.

Posted by: HarryEzra 23rd May 2016, 07:48 PM

That was stomach turning and terrifying but amazing at the same time heart.gif

Posted by: Robot 23rd May 2016, 07:48 PM

If Alex Magala doesn't go through and gets beaten by some f***ing singers, I'll be so mad. Truly GRIPPING television, he's fantastic.

Posted by: Suedehead2 23rd May 2016, 08:24 PM

Just catching up. The sword swallower is beyond insane laugh.gif Once again, the first act was atrocious.

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 23rd May 2016, 08:26 PM

I can't with the sward swallower. He is so talented but I just feel sick watching it, I literally can't

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 23rd May 2016, 08:32 PM

My votes:
Anne and Ian Marshall 1x
Another Kind Of Blue 1x
Rachael Wooding 1x
Shannon and Peter 6x Absolutely loved them ❤️
Wayne Woodard 1x

Posted by: dandy* 23rd May 2016, 08:37 PM

Ooh I expected Wayne to come about 4th (with the blonde girl taking his spot in the top 3) so I'm thrilled with that! He's really likeable and something a bit different for the singers.

Another singer? manson.gif

Would have chosen Alex and Shannon & Peter as the ideal result so not too far off I guess.

Posted by: burbe 23rd May 2016, 09:08 PM

The acts are so boring this year. I don't even know how that Wayne guy came top of the vote - what a borefest! Alex was by far the best of the night and should have been top of the vote.

YES! I was absolutely CONVINCED they would send the ballet dancers through but thank goodness they saw the light & picked VARIETY cheer.gif

Gutted Another Kind Of Blue didn't make it through though, they weren't as amazing as their audition but they're head & shoulders above any other dance act this year.

Only act I care for performing tomorrow is the magician. Oh & that other pretty cool but not quite as amazing dance group...

I knew that the cockney geezer would go through tonight, almost got it right with the husband & wife dancers.

Tomorrow will be the Magician in 1st place and the next two acts in the top three will be the piano singer guy and the Storm Troopers who Simon pressed his golden buzzer for.

Posted by: Dobbo 24th May 2016, 07:10 PM

I enjoyed that polar bear act a bit too much laugh.gif

Definitely need more Belarusian acts next year with the likes of him & the accordion guy last night. Totally bonkers!

Posted by: dandy* 24th May 2016, 07:31 PM

I loved the polar bear act, was really surprised as I didn't get it at all in the auditions... if we had to have a novelty act through then I'd be happy to see them through (though they clearly won't)

Posted by: dandy* 24th May 2016, 07:44 PM

Have to say that this is by far the highest standard of the series so far, it feels like quite a few of these could have qualified in other heats.

Posted by: Dobbo 24th May 2016, 07:47 PM

Yeah agreed I've enjoyed every single act to some degree tonight! (The girlband probably the least but they were still "alright"). However. on this occasion they've left the worst till last...

Some of these would have had a much better chance in Sundays Semi so shame they couldn't be spread out.

Posted by: Rooney 24th May 2016, 07:52 PM

The producers really messed up here didn't they? You'd think the magician & Boogie Storm were certs to go through, but you can never be too sure with a kid dancer..

Posted by: Jade 24th May 2016, 07:54 PM

The magician was outstanding! He has to sail through. The ballet boy just then was then my 2nd favourite of the night. Was quite reminiscent of George Sampson's 'Singin In The Rain' routine at the end there too.

I also didn't really get the storm troopers at their audition but they stepped it up quite a bit tonight.

Posted by: Dobbo 24th May 2016, 07:54 PM

Very George Sampson there with the rain, meh he wasn't too bad actually after not liking his audition.

He's obviously gonna sail straight through but I just hope the magician makes the top 3 & goes through by judges vote. If Boogie Storm are there as well they'll probably put them through.

Posted by: Suedehead2 24th May 2016, 08:17 PM

The stormtroopers were gloriously bonkers. It was an utterly ridiculous act, but very entertaining. I'll go for a top three of the ballet dancer, the magician and the stormtroopers.

The singing quartet were OK, but following an Ed Sheeran song with an Adele song is a bit "talent show by numbers".

Posted by: dandy* 24th May 2016, 08:51 PM

I'm expecting the final 3 acts to be the top 3... although the 16 year old singer was much better than I expected her to be.

Posted by: Mack 24th May 2016, 08:51 PM

Well at least three were better than the cocky cockney singer from last night.

Posted by: Mack 24th May 2016, 08:52 PM

5th for Morgan Connie Smith, should have been higher.

Posted by: Dobbo 24th May 2016, 08:54 PM

Hooray for the magician winning the vote, I really feel he could win this year with Jamie Raven coming so close last year.

Please pick Boogie Storm judges (I would put them as favourites for the wild card even if they don't go through tonight though).

Posted by: troylovesmusic 24th May 2016, 08:56 PM

This Semi Final was by FAR the strongest so far quite a few of them could have probably got through on Sunday or Monday.

Posted by: Mack 24th May 2016, 08:58 PM

The public again.......

Yes get up there, Boogie Storm. Chat in a minute, I very much doubt you'll get a word in, Dec!.

A higher quality semifinal compared to the other two.

Posted by: Dobbo 24th May 2016, 08:59 PM

Happy with that, shame Bebop finished bottom though they were probably my 3rd favourite on the night.

Posted by: Jade 24th May 2016, 08:59 PM

I'm thrilled that the magician was straight through! wub.gif Would have rather seen Jack in the final along with him but hopefully he'll have a good shot at the wildcard.

Think it will depend on his trick, but he is charismatic and has a military background. Can't see him not finishing in the top 3!

Only looking forward to Balance & that Kyrgyz dance group tomorrow!

Posted by: Hazza Chapman 24th May 2016, 09:40 PM

Tonight's Semi-final was awesome! definitely the best of this week so far. Tomorrow's semi-final looks a lot weaker in comparison and it doesn't look like there are any stand out performers for tomorrow. Jack would have been in 1st place in the voting if he took part in tomorrow's semi-final instead of today's one.

Posted by: burbe 24th May 2016, 09:55 PM

Tonight's show was great and the best two went through! Overall standard was leagues ahead of the last two shows.

Britain's Got Talent Odds (from William Hill):

Richard Jones 4/5
Wayne Woodward 9/2
100 Voices Of Gospel 6/1
Beau Dermott 6/1

Those look about right. Hope Richard wins.

Has it been announced who's performing the final yet?

Posted by: Cameron 25th May 2016, 12:32 PM

I haven't really been impressed by anyone yet, but they really need to stop voting for only singers, it is not the x factor laugh.gif

Nope, they've got a celebration of some of the best acts of the 10 series of the show but that isn't the "actual" guest, fingers crossed for Little Mix!

I don't think Little Mix are doing it, I'm 99% it'll be Reggie N Bollie.

Please don't let it be Drake drama.gif

I have a slight suspicion it could be Ariana Grande.

That would be too good to be true!

Posted by: Suedehead2 25th May 2016, 07:20 PM

I'm a little behind (always better to be able to skip the ads). The orchestra and the four-piece were both good, but they both suffered from having to cut epic songs (Hey Jude and Heroes) short. The dinosaur act was dreadful.

Posted by: Brett-Butler 25th May 2016, 07:28 PM

Well, that performance was a wee bit camp.

I really doubt it seeing as they already performed on More Talent, but Clean Bandit and Louisa could be a great bet now! biggrin.gif

Alex is definitely my favourite of the finalists so far with the magician in second. I loved Another Kind of Blue in auditions but was underwhelmed by their semi performance but would've liked them through anyway as it is a very unique act which when done well can have an Attraction esque impact.

The dance acts are annoying me even more in general than usual with the obsession of changing songs every 10 seconds in their routines. To me it just shows that the dance acts that do this aren't good enough or unique enough and have to rely on using millions of songs to keep viewers interested as their dancing skills alone aren't up to par or choreographed well enough. The ballet boy dancer is a prime example here, while I'm not a fan of him at least I appreciate that he's relying on his dancing talent rather than endless song changes and that is how it should be.

Posted by: Robot 25th May 2016, 11:53 PM

I actually really agree with that, I noticed it more than ever with Balance's act tonight that the music was changing every 3 seconds for NO reason with no particular cohesion either.

Posted by: Jade 26th May 2016, 03:51 AM

I was also thinking the same when watching Balance tonight! It's so grating and makes the performance feel disjointed and so random. It started off quite well but by the end I was left a bit cold which is a shame 'cause I enjoyed his audition.

Anyway, Tumar KR were EASILY the highlight of the night for me, I just could not take my eyes off them! So bizarrely brilliant. Beau really nailed her song tonight as well. Happy enough with her and Balance (if his final performance flows better) though it's a shame they missed out.

Posted by: Mack 26th May 2016, 06:09 AM

Tumer KR to get one of the wildcards please, Beau was fantastic and proved why children are allowed to enter the show, the strongest singer of the week by quite a long way.

Posted by: Liаm 26th May 2016, 09:38 AM

I haven't seen Balance myself but I agree about the changing music! It's really quite grating and if anything it puts me off the act or divides my attention because I keep thinking "ooh I like this song" or trying to recognise what it is from small looped snippets laugh.gif Dance troupes are one of my least favourite kind of acts on this sort of thing tbh.

Now confirmed by Louisa!

Posted by: Dobbo 26th May 2016, 06:39 PM

Finally caught up. That dance group were in a league of their own last night so shame they put Balance through who I thought was extremely average...

Posted by: Dobbo 26th May 2016, 06:42 PM

Awful line up tonight too, those brothers were the only ones whose auditions I liked.

Posted by: Jade 26th May 2016, 07:28 PM

My highlight of the night so far was that cake throw fail in the very first act :')

Posted by: Dobbo 26th May 2016, 07:29 PM

Ahhh gutted for them they've completely stole the show so far. Still getting my 5 votes without any question!

I assume you mean the act that went a bit wrong. I suspect it won't affect their vote too much, so they still have a decent chance of getting through. Ant & Dec's singer was the other highlight so far. She's got a really mature voice and manages to avoid any vocal acrobatics, making for a far more subtle performance.

The Davros act was beyond awful.

Posted by: Dobbo 26th May 2016, 07:57 PM

Yeah the acrobatic brothers.

I wasn't that fussed on Jasmine, really struggled with the high notes. Davros had me in stitches in fairness laugh.gif

That girl choir are very good, much prefer them to the hideously overrated gospel choir...

I imagine they'll go straight through then the judges will choose between Trip Hazard & Jasmine (sending Trip through). I feel the brothers will just miss out in 4th sad.gif

Posted by: Jade 26th May 2016, 07:59 PM

Have been lucky to have my top 3 acts as the top 3 the last few nights, but this won't happen today. Trip Hazard, Togni Brothers and Chloe would be my preferred top 3. But I think it'll be the choir, Jasmine and Trip Hazard.

Posted by: Rob Spears 26th May 2016, 08:40 PM

Gosh, 5H sound awful.

Posted by: Dobbo 26th May 2016, 08:44 PM

They did but I still preferred watching them over all the other Semi performances!

Posted by: Dobbo 26th May 2016, 08:52 PM

Wow I do love a shock! Didn't see that one coming at all.

Trip to go through now please.

Boo. Hiss. Don't get the hype with her at all, Beau Dermott knocks her out the park in terms of young singers this year.

Trip will obviously win the wildcard now though I'd say.

Posted by: Jade 26th May 2016, 08:56 PM

Full of shocks tonight, I thought the choir would have been a runaway 1st ohmy.gif And definitely did NOT expect the comedian that high.

sad.gif @ Trip not making it.

Posted by: Suedehead2 26th May 2016, 08:59 PM

I'm amazed the comic won ohmy.gif Let's hope that's the last we see of the dog. I suspect the ballet boy will get the viewers' wildcard.

Posted by: Dobbo 26th May 2016, 09:00 PM

Voting in vain for Tumar KR.

I guess the judges get to pick from everyone? Wouldn't surprise me if they invited the choir back...

Posted by: Jade 26th May 2016, 09:03 PM

I love Tumar KR, Jack and Trip Hazard! Going to give my votes to Tumar though 'cause I think they'll need it most.

Posted by: troylovesmusic 26th May 2016, 09:11 PM

I'm actually amazed but happy the choir didn't get the most votes or even get in the top 3 ohmy.gif I was also shocked that the comic won but I'm happy with two that went through I loved Jasmine. I'm just glad the bloddy dog didn't go through we don't need anymore dog winners thanks !

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 26th May 2016, 09:14 PM

What an absolutely incredible semi final! Davros was crap, the mother and daughter were forgettable but everyone else was terrific. I could have given Trip Hazard/Choir/Chloe/Comedian/Jasmine so many votes on any other night!

Wildcard Votes:
5x Shannon & Peter
5x Trip Hazard

I also love Jack (but don't think he'll need the votes) and Kathleen (but not as much as the other two who are two of my favourites)

Posted by: Mack 26th May 2016, 09:55 PM

I would liked the comic if he hadn't done the impressions of characters I can't stand such as Elmo, Micky Mouse and Minnie Mouse in fact I'm not keeen on him at all. The doggie's owner was so sure she'll and Trip would get to the final.

Posted by: Hazza Chapman 26th May 2016, 11:37 PM

I wanted to vote for Tumar KR in the wildcard vote but because I was watching tonight on ITV +1 I missed the deadline sad.gif

I'm glad Craig the impressionist won tonight, his act was very imaginative and unique.

Posted by: Common Sense 27th May 2016, 05:53 PM

Wildcards revealed. Public - Trip Hazard.
Judges - Shannon and Peter

Posted by: Hazza Chapman 27th May 2016, 06:16 PM

No surprise there. Britain is obsessed with dogs! It was probably them who finished 2nd in the voting yesterday and would have gone through to the final without the need for a wildcard if the judges took their votes to deadlock.

Posted by: Liаm 28th May 2016, 07:06 PM

Watching the final having only seen bits so far and I'm so disappointed at Richard :/ I found it so boring. Yes everyone respects soldiers but I found it a bit cringey to play on all of that for votes, and I loved the surprise factor of his act, I don't feel like any of that was really a wow moment.

Posted by: Cameron 28th May 2016, 07:14 PM

I would be embarrassed singing with my mum, especially if it was this cringy and dated...

Posted by: Mack 28th May 2016, 07:32 PM

Does anyone find Mel & Jamie's relationship a bit weird?

Posted by: Liаm 28th May 2016, 07:36 PM

Now THERE is talent, I loved Jasmine! She just sang the song, no need to oversing, she just has a lovely tone and it's effortless.

QUOTE(Mack @ May 28 2016, 08:32 PM) *
Does anyone find Mel & Jamie's relationship a bit weird?

It's not even the relationship bc I'm sure there isn't anything to it but singing songs about love when you're a mother and son is jsut a bit odd laugh.gif I think they sang The Climb in the semis didn't they? That's not so bad when it's just about a struggle to get what and where you want.

Posted by: Mack 28th May 2016, 07:55 PM

And David has just had water thrown by Amanda saying it was her final year.

Posted by: dandy* 28th May 2016, 08:35 PM

Simon wants Wayne to win then as he got the best spot. I don't think he is particularly good at all but I can see why Simon would think he could make him the most money.

Posted by: Jade 28th May 2016, 09:04 PM

Great to have a magician win for the first time! Although I much preferred his semi final performance.

Posted by: Cameron 28th May 2016, 09:05 PM

Yeah, I liked none of the top 3 laugh.gif

Posted by: dandy* 28th May 2016, 09:06 PM

Definitely wouldn't have been my choice of winner tonight but I'm really pleased that a magician managed to win and that someone managed to do so well from the first few on - I'm convinced the show tried to sabotage his popularity by putting him on second!

Posted by: Liаm 28th May 2016, 09:16 PM

I'm a bit conflicted because he was by FAR my favourite act of the finalists but I found his final performance crap. I think he'd have won anyway so idk why he had to play up the soldier thing for votes!

I'm just pleased it wasn't Wayne or those Storm Troopers! I'm delighted Jasmine finished so high <3

Posted by: JoeyJeppssonWall 28th May 2016, 09:23 PM

Richard was terrible tonight I agree, but I think he's a worthy winner based on the audition and semi final. At least it wasn't f***ing Wayne.

Gospel ended up way too low sad.gif

Posted by: Ryan. 28th May 2016, 09:28 PM

I'm very pleased overall, as I said the other day he was my second favourite act behind Alex up until tonight. Very much in agreement that his performance tonight was very underwhelming as a result of playing up the patriotism for votes, much as Attraction did in the final a couple of years ago. But overall a very deserving winner and I'm glad he beat the massively overrated Wayne and Boogie Storm. Glad Jasmine did well but Alex in 9th was a joke, really should have been top 5 at the very least.

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 28th May 2016, 09:31 PM

I absolutely loved tonight's final, thought everyone was great apart from the mother and son & balance!

Trip Hazard, Shannon & Peter, Jasmine and Beau were my absolute favourites :Hearts: Was gutted the latter two didn't come higher than where they finished sad.gif

Posted by: Maurice 28th May 2016, 09:57 PM

So glad Beau didn't win, don't get me wrong she has a brilliant voice but she really is pushed by her parents and that's a thing I really hate.

I agree actually, very talented and I do think she somewhat enjoys it at least but it does seem like she's really pushed sad.gif

Jasmine had a lot more support than I was ever expecting her to have . I'm regretting a bit not giving her a few votes sad.gif now.

Posted by: Dobbo 28th May 2016, 10:52 PM

Extremely pleased Richard won as he was my 2nd favourite act in the final after Alex Magala (who I knew wasn't really a contender). Have to agree I actually found his performances got worse (sounds harsh, ok just not as good as before) during the show but his audition was just THAT good he deserved to win off that alone. Plus it's better than having another singer/dancing act win.

Elsewhere I'm very surprised Wayne finished in second, I'd never had him as a leading contender & certainly not the highest ranked singing act. Boogie Storm were pretty funny but again, not deserving winners overall.

Overall a good year & my favourite winning act since 2013!

That's exactly what I thought. I'm annoyed that it worked.

Very predictable winner in Richard, I knew days ago that he would win. I'm glad that I didn't watch it live otherwise it would have been a painful watch!

Posted by: Martyn 29th May 2016, 08:59 AM

I did enjoy the face it the guy from Balance Unity when it was announced he was 10th.

Posted by: Taylor Jago 29th May 2016, 09:24 AM

I have to say, I actually was a bit scared at the end of Alex Magala's act. Richard was a bit disappointing, compared to his audition and semi-final performance.

Clean Bandit and Louisa were great though!

Posted by: Suedehead2 29th May 2016, 12:28 PM

I found Richard Jones' routine last night totally underwhelming. It just seemed like the sort of trick an aspiring magician learns very early on in his learning process. However, as soon as the bandsman appeared in is uniform, he won a load of votes before he even started.

Posted by: Jonjo 29th May 2016, 12:55 PM

I liked that we finally had a magician winner! But the whole soldier thing worked. I didn't even watch the show but I saw a status saying "Buzzing" and this was one of the comments on that status...

"Just watched it on you tube wow and what a fantastic person certainly put the britaun into bgtxx"

(tempted to just reply and put "Britain*" rolleyes.gif )

drama.gif

(and another comment on the same status was very similar: "He represented Britain through and through well deserved X")

So, yeah. At least you know how to get the people of Britain behind you. Just pay some sort of tribute to our troops! laugh.gif
