They're probably going to send it to radio towards the end of the tour, premiering the video around then, too.( no long delays this time please).

If be happy with OMG, Hair, ADIDAS or Weird People... with the latter probably being the wisest choice. I think Lightning is great but wouldn't work as a single as it'd alienate some audiences.

Has to be Weird People really, it would make the most sense. Maybe OMG or A.D.I.D.A.S., Love Me Or Leave Me is my favourite song left but we don't need another big ballad as it'd just be seen as another SLS but inferior I think.

Just please not Lightning, by far the most overrated track on the album.

I'm still all for 'Grown'. The live version sounds immense, so a single remix with punchier production would be amazing. I'd be fine with 'Weird People' and 'OMG' too, although I think the latter might be too much of a deviation in sound from their other singles this era.

I love 'A.D.I.D.A.S' but it just wouldn't work as a single imo, nor would the ballads following SLS. I'd rather not have 'Hair' or 'Lightning', neither seem memorable enough.

I feel like OMG could possibly make more impact as a single, but Weird People would sell the album a bit more. I can't see R2 or Heart touching OMG, where as they might with Weird People.

Whatever it is, I think we all need to be prepared for it possibly being their lowest peaking single (though it'll probably still out-sell some of their lower selling singles).

I hope to God it's not 'OMG', it's like one of the shit tracks from either of Girls Aloud's first two albums.

'Weird People' HAS to be the next single, but failing that it's out of 'Lightning' (which I love but agree it's a bit too unconventional for a girl group single to do well) or 'Grown'. Surely it's most likely to either be the former or latter given they both charted as instant grats?

I'm thinking it could be Hair from the pic. It's giving me girly, sleepover vibes, which after seeing the little video they did for Hair to go with the album release, is what I imagine they might go for for that video. Who knows though, hopefully they'll announce soon!

Me neither! Like you say it's already charted top 40, and it's one of my favourites off the album, it definitely stands out, and is a bit different sound wise to the other singles which I would personally like in single 4.
TBH if it isn't going to be ADIDAS, Hair would be my next pick. Just think it would be a tad more memorable, and less likely to get lost among their other singles, than Weird People. And for the life of me I still cannot get into Grown, so please not that ladies! OMG isn't one of my favourites, but it's the type of song I wouldn't mind being a single, because I think with a video I might fall in love with it.

My personal preference order would be:
1. ADIDAS
2. Hair
3. Weird People
4. OMG
5. Grown
(Leaving out the rest because they're either ballads which have no chance after SLS, definite album tracks, or in Lightning's case I just don't see them choosing it)

I know!! I was so surprised! Maybe I'd like a single version more, or seeing it with a video, or the extra exposure to it, though I doubt it, it's just not really my personal taste for a LM song. Plus I just don't see it doing anything chart wise, at all, I can't see the fringe audiences being that taken with it, and it wouldn't stack up against their otherwise almost flawless singles collection (with the exception of Word Up) in my opinion. But whatever they've gone for, I'll support it relentlessly, regardless.

I really hope they've gone with "Weird People". I wouldn't mind "Hair" as an alternative, but I think "Weird People" is easily the best song they have yet to release. As someone said previously, I think it would have the broadest radio appeal - the production is like a girlgroup doing a modern spin on Prince, so it might go down ok with Radio 2 etc.

That said, I wouldn't mind "OMG" or "Grown", but I think it's almost like a step back in terms of image after the more mature "Secret Love Song".

After just seeing the show, I'll be disappointed with anything other than a 'Weird People' release tbh. Translates amazingly well live. Highlight of the night for me. 'A.D.I.D.A.S.' fell a bit flat for me. 'OMG' worked ridiculously well too and I wasn't too big on that being a single, but it'll definitely work I think!

I really hope it's not Grown as the next single I don't mind it but it's just not strong enough to be a single IMO and neither is Hair. Lightning I love but feels a bit dated and don't think would work as a single , then Weird People I think would go either two ways either do really well or flop . So I'm fully backing either OMG or ADIDAS as the next single both are catchy and would do well on radio I reckon .

TBH the tour performance of Lighting is incredible. and they do perform a minute of it at the end of that segment. My only problem is it got nothing from the audience. Only album tracks that did were OMG, ADIDAS and sort-of Grown, but I think that was more because it was the opener

'Lightning' is phenom and you should all DEAL. Seriously though, I can't see them going for it, no matter how much the girls love it. But tbh, a similar performance on BGT to what they're doing on tour and I think the single would be a similar style hit to 'Salute'!

Starting to worry that there won't be a single 4 after all. I hope there is though and that they're just waiting for the tour to finish.

Even though I don't think it's the best single choice, I can see Lightning getting big support from Capital and Radio 1 and if they can re-create the tour performance at BGT, that could potentially be a huge moment for them.

In fact, the live shows of BGT aren't until the end of May, so if they're going down the 'perform on BGT route', the timeline works out.

It'd be the smart move to hold it back until BGT with the massive viewing figures it gets, so that's what I'm hoping they're gonna do, but it is quite nerve wracking waiting for something to be said or announced Like most of the fans are expecting a 4th single, which makes sense, taking advantage of the success this era, so if they're not I hope they announce soon that there won't be one

Lightning and I Love You are my favourites on the album so out of those two i'll obviously go for Lightning as best choice for single (because i'm pretty alone in loving I Love You and we don't want too ballads in a row). I think Lightning could be interesting for them and shake it up quite a bit after SLS. I think there definitely will be another single especially with big promo opportunities around the corner, hell I assume they might even continue pushing this album into X Factor season too as I doubt they'll have a new single/album ready by then lol (or they might)...

I'm pretty sure there will be a 4th single, it was only about mid-February when 'Secret Love Song's impact date was centred around.

'Lightning' has grown on me a lot recently, I'd be okay with that if they were to go with it.

My favorite is Grown, but after the tour I've became a A.D.I.D.A.S lover, so I'd be down with that too. Hair would be weird since it was the second song we heard from the album SO long ago, but I love it too.

I wonder why, though I do think forums generally do look at things a bit more objectively. I wouldn't be surprised if what ever's chosen under-performs though (I can see this being their lowest peaker). And fandom will blame it on incorrect single choice.

I do agree with this, the chances are it will be, but I do think ADIDAS or Lightening are more risk choices in the sense that they could strike a chord with the general public and give them another top 10/15, as they are the most different sound wise, so could pay off. But at the same time, could also do a lot worse if it doesn't pay off against say, the much safer choices of Weird People or OMG, which are pretty much a cert to give them a peak somewhere around 20

Yeah, having a top 5 for a post album single is very difficult, especially for a pop band who've sold 500+ albums already. personally, I'll be happy with top 40, 200k sales and a faster race to 2x platinum for the album.

Yeah, I agree with the above. I can't see anything they'd release bothering the charts too much. I imagine they'd do much better on sales-only (as they always do), but if their previous 3 single can't take off properly on streaming (I suppose BM and SLS did alright, but they always felt like much bigger hits than their streaming suggested), then I don't imagine the 4th release will either.

Still rooting for 'Grown'. 'Weird People' would be a decent substitute for me. Just no 'Hair' or 'Lightning' please.

It's clear from the fact ADIDAS, Grown, Hair, Lightning, Weird People, OMG are all getting thrown out there, that this album doesn't have anymore clear stand out tracks like their previous two did. There is nothing outstanding, but several good tracks, so at least we won't have that OMG THEY NEVER RELEASED THAT, when the campaign is over.

I'm hoping if it is a single announcement that it's OMG for the next single I think radio would be all over that .If not OMG then I would be happy with ADIDAS as well. Weird People has grown on me a bit but it's still a bit cheesy IMO I think it would either do well or flop as a single .

I'm happy enough with that. I was rooting for 'Weird People' or 'Lightning' but this was on the list of possible good singles too, plus it already has a Top 40 peak, suggesting it's generally more popular or at least has a lot of supporters.

I can imagine a fantastic BGT performance with an added instrumental for the middle 8 so that they can do a killer dance routine.

Let's be honest Weird People was only loved by couple of users on this forum, twitter was going nuts with a thought of that being single.

Hair will do really well, it's a catchy song and dare I say it's the strongest bop on the album

Great single choice. But I'd have been happy with any one of 'Hair', 'Weird People' or 'Lightning'. I still don't think 'OMG' is a good single choice. That sound hasn't worked for Charli XCX or anyone in the charts before, so I don't see why it'd work for these girls, suddenly. 'Hair' is a perfect change of pace for them.

Listening to Hair now to celebrate this fantastic decision, as well as some of their other singles. It really does sit well with them, and just makes their singles discography even better. Soooooo happy with this choice.





Plus it's already 35 peaked so they're yet to have a single fail to reach top 40

I find it a bit forgettable honestly, and I've never been a huge fan, even when it first premiered. It's definitely the safe choice since it's the song I've seen the least opposition for, although I would've preferred any of Weird People/ADIDAS/Grown/OMG since they all have a bit of oomph. Perhaps the video will change my mind.

Agreed. 4 singles is sufficient for this album, not that ADIDAS or LMOLM wouldn't make excellent 5th singles. I'm ready for new material in the form of album 4 keep that momentum going!

There is still chance for a 5th single if Hair performs well... and it's already out peaked other singles internationally. However I do feel they should move onto the next album if possible after because if they struggled to come up with material to top Salute and DNA, how in the hell are they going to top Get Weird?!

The artwork is nice. But not amazing. Much better than the SLS artwork which I ended up hating. I'd say it were their best form the era, though nothing beats the album artwork.

They've made Hair album only now. Smart choice. (Edit: They've only done this on the standard, I assume they'll do it for deluxe by Friday)

This is what they should have done with How Ya Doing and The Saturdays should have done with Higher. It consolidates sales to one version, which means it gets higher on iTunes. Jess Glynne did it with Take Me Home and it helped her a lot.

Well done to Little Mix and the record company for going all out on the 4th single and really making attempts to achieve a fourth hit from this album. This really shows the record company must truly believe in the potential of the Get Weird era to be pushed further and further.

I really am expecting a deluxe re-release of Get Weird in the fourth quarter, a brand new track to lead that campaign (should it happen) would push the album to triple platinum status.

I suppose I just don't want them to rush out an entire album unless it's 100%, I want them to spend longer working on the material, so that it's better, but still want something new to keep them on the radios during Q4. They can probably afford better producers/writers considering how much money this era has raked in.

They've yet to have a 5/5 album for me yet.

As for an album, given how successful the Get Weird Tour has been I'd consider releasing a live version of Get Weird like Ed Sheeran did for X, so Disc 1 could simply be the regular album (with the new version of Hair included) and Disc 2 would be songs recorded live at the tour

I would not view it as a cheap move but a clever move. Fourth singles for most do not perform well. Little Mix and their team have realised the potential this era has and they are continuously working to make the era and even bigger success.

I always see it as quite an obvious/cheap move when artists remix their 4th single with a feature. As Taylor did with Bad Blood after Style didn't chart as high as people hoped. It doesn't mean it's still not clever and you can't enjoy the outcome.

It's not as bad as it could have been (mainly due to him not being on it much), but as with anything he gets shoehorned onto I'll be sticking with the original. It does feel sloppy though, like they couldn't be bothered to mix him into it properly.

Great news! So it'll be getting at least one play from R1 as well as being on the Capital playlist. I don't think it'll be TOTD, as they usually have dance tracks as TOTD on Fridays to go with dance anthems. I can see it being TOTD on Sat/Sun though, but I'd rather they waited until Monday because weekday TOTDs have much bigger effects on iTunes.

At first I didn't understand Hair being the fourth single, but after the Sean Paul remix, it's a sure fire top 10 for them. Secure a big performance on the BGT finals like Salute got and it's gonna be a smash, so radio friendly too. I wasn't even considering 'Hair' as a single so I was surprised that they're going with this after it was an instant grat. It's really catchy and the version with Sean Paul works well. I hope it gives them at least another Top 20 hit (although I do think it's the worst single of the campaign so far.)

I defiantly think this will be a slow-burner rather than an instant hit - which is great for sales. Once airplay, streams and the video along with promo (fingers crossed) it'll peak, but it's too premature for it to be a hit right now.

Always the way with these kinds of releases though, it'll climb when airplay kicks off. It's lucky to have capital support off the bat. it might climb a bit tomorrow when the weekend effect is over. And the video is coming within the next few days (Wednesday is the rumoured day for that).

Streams will pick up if they get added to some major Spotify playlists like "The Pop List" and others.. Let's see how this goes after airplay increases.
It's not very shocking considering this is a very old single (despite the feat) and fans are not as excited as for the previous 3.. But I think it will do fine in the long run

If anything it's just a good indication that R1 are going to support the single, we don't really want it to peak right away tbh. UK leg of the GWT wraps up in a week or so's time, we need radio play to carry it over to after they've been in Australia and hopefully peak first weeks in June to co-incide with Summertime Ball and BGT performances (if they're going to happen)

Been stable on itunes is good as i had feared it would start free falling at this stage. This deserves a top 20 peak at worst. I am also hoping it will push the album back into the top 10. Sales are extremely low in the album market so Get Weird returning to the Top 10 isn't a big ask.

They've been recording for the last five months for their next studio album / re-release so I doubt a break is on the horizon unless they decide to release their next album in October time which is possible. The tour will take a lot out of them by travelling across the world which makes me think the 'Hair' promotion might be non existent and that's why they've chucked in Sean Paul to ensure that it gets a better peak.

Capital tend to look at iTunes more than anything. I think it should make the top 40, but only just. No confirmation about the video, but I think it really is ready to go and they have a plan this time. I think today would have been better, because Wednesday is too close to the Beyonce thing.

There were several problems with the Secret Love Song video- firstly it was delayed twice, then when it was released it came out of the blue. Capital just tweeted 'surprise, the new Little Mix video is out' (or something like that) then the video was geo-blocked for the first few days

This time we actually know when it is coming and it's going to be out worldwide so hopefully it should give the song a significant boost

From what I can see, Get Weird has had the fourth most Top 10 weeks for a girl band album. These are the ones I could find with 10+ weeks:

43 weeks // Spice Girls - Spice

The Prince frenzy isn't really going to be a thing I don't think. You need to remember how much of an impact Spotify has on the charts nowadays and him not having his songs on there is going to be a real issue. Of course 'Purple Rain' will push them down and 'When Doves Cry' and 'Kiss' may also do better than 'Hair' but it will only be three of his songs out-peaking 'Hair' next week at most. Also without all the Prince entries they are currently #09 on iTunes so are selling better than they were last week already.

The Prince invasion actually seems to have helped them in the long run, making some of the older songs like Work From Home less visible. They're dark green at #8 ahead of Tinie now, going great for them!

Really pleased this is set to become a hit, because since BM is the only properly upbeat song from this era, it'll be good for the clubs to have something else from them to put on proper rotation. If all goes well, they could even manage a 4th Gold single with Hair.

Fast becoming one of my favourite LM singles, it really explodes as a single choice, for me. They made such a good choice going with it.

The video shows of their personality which a lot of their videos have failed to do. I've loved all their videos this campaign minus Secret Love Song. I still think love me like you is my favourite, had the dog had more scenes I would prefer the hair video.

Holy shit, genuinely never seen this coming. Certainly not before a BGT performance anyway. I'm SO pleased. Like you, 'Hair' has grown on me immensely since it got the single treatment + remix. Plus, it's always good to see Sean Paul adding another hit to his name.

It's also going to get played as part of the live top 10 on the Vodafone Big Top 40 too. Hopefully that'll give it another boost.

The girls are confirmed for Capital JBB (11th of June). So they've back from Singapore on the 24th of May, hopefully between the 25th May - 12th of June (when they start their European tour) they're doing some promo for Hair then? Doesn't the BGT semi finals/finals fit in with that?

The girls were the first act confirmed for this year's Capital Summertime Ball on June 11 (which also happens to be my birthday!) So they will be performing at Wembley Stadium, the day before the European leg of the tour starts.

I can see this having a big effect on both Hair and Get Weird

I'm so happy at how great this is doing on ITunes and Youtube! 5 now yes! The only thing that I can imagine defeating it from achieving a top 10 place this week is Spotify streams, whilst I'm glad it's back in the top 100 it needs to be higher to nab that top 10 but with a BGT performance and Summertime Ball promo I can imagine this going Gold and helping the album finally achieve a 2x Platinum certification.

I definitely wouldn't have expected them to be top 20 this early on in the songs chart life, so impressed. It was easily my favourite album track anyway but the amazing video and new version has given it new life. Such a sassy song to have on in the shower/tidying your room etc, it's unreal.

If it could sneak top 15, that would be amaze, but i'm predicting around 18 this week, if they're at 20 today. But that's still amazing and keeps their top 20 run going!

That fifth harmony vs little mix thing is indeed annoying. I don't get why people have to put them against each other, they're both great and both on top form, and equally blowing up, so there is really no need.

If this goes top 10 next week, then job done really! In my most hopeful ambitions for this song I was hoping top 10, and gold, but would have been happy with top 15 and silver; so if they get that top 10, anything above that is a bonus!

The vid is so much fun without even having to do much, it just feels like it's really natural and full of personality and you kinda get swept up in all the joy. I don't know why, but after a few hours iTunes replaced Hair with Dj Snake's song on Hot songs front page, which is annoying.

I suppose they don't want to lose their hard work USA wise, I think cancelling the Salute tour did hurt them in America a little this year, but I think overall LM are being managed great. Then again, being a sats fan of course LM's management looks marvelous

I don't think the post had anything to do with her being fed up with the management. She shares these funny posts all the time. It just happened that some fan asked if she was going to tour america sometime and she said "if only.."

That's kind of the point. They clearly want to, but also there's not a big enough fan base for them to tour there this time. And their team probably doesn't want to bring them over there to tour in 1k capacity places (though it's weird they're perfectly fine with them touring in places with this capacity in Asia, which is weird)

The video is doing exceptionally well on TV airplay, already up to #14 in the TV charts which is very rare for a video that's only been around for a week. No doubt a big reason it's so high on iTunes with limited radio airplay at the moment.

Asia tour starts on the 16th of May, so I can't see any promo happening until after that. 23rd - 11th of June. They're doing Summertime Ball, so we know they'll be working. That works out to when it'll be peaking on radio, too - considering R1 usually go C-B-A.

It's crazy just how much this seems to be catching on! Before the remix was announced I'd have been happy with a top 20 hit, the remix got announced and I was ready for a mid-low top 10 hit for them, but that was before this started taking off on streaming. Really hope it can capitalise and actually be a decent #4 sized hit now tbh.
