Like most of you I’m surprised at the songs that feature, but disappointed at no Jorja Smith. Normally the critics choice winner always appears on the spring edition. So it’s unusual for this not to be the case.
Oasis just don’t belong on a Now volume at this time. There’s not enough cause to merit its inclusion at this stage. The Cranberries would have been a more suitable tribute song. U2... just no. Quite like the songs they put on from Rag’N’Bone Man, Paloma Faith and Kylie Minogue, even if they charged low. I’m not sure why Taylor was included and I’m not a fan of the song. |

I'm not a fan of the T-Swift song either but she's a big name and it's good for NOW that they've got her as she's usually funny with them. At least 'Ready For It' was a top ten hit too, and that they didn't choose 'Gorgeous' or 'End Game' over it.
I don't get having Oasis as a tribute either. If it's as a Manchester victims tribute which I presume it is, they already had 'One Last Time' appear on NOW 97. And if I'm not mistaken it's not even the acoustic version Liam performed at OLM/Brits but the original version. Could've put in 'Linger' by The Cranberries as a tribute to their lead singer instead. Jorja Smith is an odd exclusion too. |

I think this is Taylor's first appearance since the Red era? I completely forgot none of the 1989 singles made the now albums!

This is very much a tracklist that screams ‘we’re saving the huge hits for Now 100’
Nice for some flops to get their moment in the spotlight but I can’t see this edition selling particularly well. |

This is very much a tracklist that screams ‘we’re saving the huge hits for Now 100’ Nice for some flops to get their moment in the spotlight but I can’t see this edition selling particularly well. Do the Easter ones sell that much anyway? I've been working my Pop rival CD, Iconic Pop 15 and I thought I'd share it here (songs that are NOW 99 that aren't on Iconic Pop 15 may be featured on one of the previous volumes). Disc 1: 01: Portugal. The Man - Feel It Still 02: Meghan Trainor – No Excuses 03: Kylie Minogue – Dancing 04: Dua Lipa – IDGAF 05: Raye feat. Mr Eazi – Decline 06: Rudimental feat. Macklemore, Jess Glynne & Dan Caplen – These Days 07: Justin Timberlake feat. Chris Stapleton - Say Something 08: P!nk – Beautiful Trauma 09: Paloma Faith – Guilty 10: Janelle Monáe – Make Me Feel 11: Bruno Mars feat. Cardi B - Finesse (Remix) 12: Camila Cabello – Never Be the Same 13: Sigrid – Strangers 14: Marshmello feat. Anne-Marie – FRIENDS 15: The Chainsmokers - Sick Boy 16: Jorja Smith feat. Stormzy - Let Me Down 17: Keala Settle & The Greatest Showman Ensemble - This Is Me (from the motion picture "The Greatest Showman") 18: Macklemore feat. Kesha - Good Old Days 19: Bebe Rexha feat. Florida Georgia Line - Meant to Be 20: George Ezra - Paradise 21: NF – Let You Down 22: 5 Seconds of Summer – Want You Back 23: The Hunna - Flickin' Your Hair Disc 2: 01: Justin Timberlake - Filthy 02: Taylor Swift - ...Ready For It? 03: The Weeknd & Kendrick Lamar - Pray for Me (from motion picture 'Black Panther') 04: Liam Payne & Rita Ora - For You (Fifty Shades Freed) 05: Craig David feat. Bastille - I Know You 06: Arlissa & Jonas Blue - Hearts Ain't Gonna Lie 07: Sigala feat. Paloma Faith - Lullaby 08: Zedd feat. Maren Morris & Grey – The Middle 09: Jax Jones feat. Most of the songs here are either too new or will have licensing issues
I’ve put [ ] round songs I think have license issues and bolded odd omissions.

I'd replace these songs
Khalid - Location SZA & Calvin Harris - The Weekend Demi Lovato - Tell Me You Love Me Maroon 5 - Wait Rag'n'Bone Man - As You Are with these songs Kojo Funds & RAYE - Check Steel Banglez featuring Yungen, MoStack, Mr Eazi & Not3s - Bad Bebe Rexha featuring Florida Georgia Line - Meant To Be Keala Settle - This Is Me Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey - The Middle If they wanted to include U2, I thought they'd have included the Kygo remix seeing as it would appeal more to the youngsters and if they wanted Taylor Swift, they could've included "End Game" instead of "...Ready For It?" Also, it's odd for them to ignore Jorja Smith seeing as they always include the Critics choice winner on the Spring editions. Other than that, decent album. Why are we getting Reputation singles but we got nothing from 1989? So odd

Unpopular opinion-I quite like the tracklist. The flops are the songs I’ve actually heard.
Perhaps Now are realising that they have to go for album sellers and big names to fill the gaps. Kylie, Paloma and Maroon 5 cant get top 40 but people are still aware of the tracks-probably more so than they are of the ‘chart hits’. |

I think it's NOW looking for more established artists / longer runs in the chart. I'm with you with liking the track listing as well. Big omissions in the way of "hits", but heavy on the decent sounding songs. |

If this really is Jorja Smith’s year, then an album and follow-up single should come soon that will smash, then they won’t be able to deny her some disc space. I just hope she doesn’t do a Jack Garratt on Now 93 and completely flop and go out of existence. |

Oasis’ appearance on the album might have something to do with Liam performing the song at the BRITs as a tribute to the Manchester victims. Apart from NOW 33, the only other compilation LF appeared on was the millennium edition of NOW 1994
