Think it'll be interesting to compare the results of your favourite lead Taylor Swift singles before and after the release of the TS6 lead!

Pretty simple, vote in the poll & comment your thoughts! x

Tim McGraw was the lead single from selftitled and was of course Taylor's debut single and was also her first top 40 hit on the Hot 100!
Moving onto Fearless' lead single, we have Love Story which saw Taylor storm to international fame and sold over 8 million copies worldwide!
For some reason, Speak Now's lead Mine wasn't a massive long-running hit in the UK but continued her enormous American success where it peaked at #3
We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together was the first single from Red and saw Taylor head in a more poppier direction which saw her score her first top 10 in the UK since Love Story & Taylor's first #1 on the Hot 100!
And finally we have 1989's lead Shake It Off which took Taylor to even higher highs!

For me I'd say:

1) Shake It Off
2) Mine
3) Love Story
4) We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
5) Tim McGraw

Tim McGraw is stunning but is way behind the other four!
SIO & Mine are my two favourite Taylor singles, let alone my favourite lead singles and Love Story & WANEGBT were probs a lot closer a couple of years ago but Love Story has stood the test of a time a bit better so that's 3rd for me nowadays <3

'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' for me. But all of her lead singles seem to have been out done by other songs from the eras!

'Shake It Off' is actually my least fave! I find it annoying!

Shake It Off has done very well for me over time but unlike the rest, it's not a highlight from the album it came from.

The top 3 are total 11/10 life defining moments but Love Story is in my all time top 10. Still love Mine, Tim McGraw is nice but one of her weaker singles.

1 Shake It Off (undeniable jam and a track I loved for months on end despite risking overplay at times. I prefer Blank Space though)
2 We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (basically the same as above, still love it and it's such a well-made pop song. I prefer IKYWT though )
3 Mine (love it ! one of her most underrated tracks but one I go back to a lot)
4 Love Story (this is sweet too and I always have a special place in my heart for it but I prefer You Belong With Me from this album to be honest)
5 Tim McGraw (think I listened to this like once and never went back to it )

Looking at this list, all of the top four are REALLY, REALLY strong pop songs - makes me even more excited for the lead single from the upcoming album

Mine and Love Story are my personal top 2. Mine edges it just slightly.
We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together remains an abomination. SIO is still shit but less so and I don't know Tim McGraw enough to score.

I'm shocked We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together is winning, I thought everyone hated it I went for Love Story but it really is a toss up between all her leads bar TM

It's very marmite, I love it but can see why people think its childish or immature or a bit shouty, because I think that about Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne for example But I loved WANEGBT instantly, I played like 100 times in a couple of days and was just obsessed.

I was surprised at how much WANEGBT was walking this poll considering it came 4th/5th in the last singles rate and 3rd/5th in the least favourite polls! (the out of 5 judging by taking the lead singles placings in these rounds ofc x)

I adore it but I'm glad SIO is starting to catch up *.*

Shake It Off. Such a feel good song. It's what made me warm up to her, tbh. That being her personality, which is what encourages me to buy albums. It was a perfect combination with 'Blank Space' being the second single. Which is her best single for me along with 'New Romantics'.
