BEST SONG
01. Dreamgirls: Beyoncé - Listen (3,4) 02. Hairspray: The Cast of Hairspray - You Can't Stop the Beat (3,2) 03. Dreamgirls: Jennifer Hudson - And I Am Telling You, I'm Not Going (3,1) =04. Enchanted: Amy Adams - That's How You Know (1,1) =04. Once: Glen Hansard feat. Markéta Irglová - Falling Slowly (1,1) 06. Hairspray: Zac Efron - Ladies Choice (1,0) To the surprise of (I assume) nobody, Beyoncé manages to take this victory although she faced tough competition and won due to having more 2nd preference votes. The ridiculously infectious and catchy 'You Can't Stop the Beat' finishes in 2nd and only just manages to beat out Beyoncé's co-star and Oscar winner J Hud with her version of the ultimate shout-sing song' And I Am Telling You...'. Rather surprisingly, Amy Adams Enchanted number 'That's How You Know' finishes in joint 4th place with the lesser known song' Falling Slowly' from the movie 'Once'. Finishing last with just the one 1st preference vote, we have Zac Efron's solo number from 'Hairspray', 'Ladies Choice'. |

BEST SCRIPT
01. The Simpsons Movie (3,2) =02. Enchanted (3,0) =02. Hot Fuzz (3,0) 04. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (1,2) 05. Atonement (1,1) 06. Knocked Up (0,3) 07. Hairspray (0,2) Taking the win for "Best Script" is 'The Simpsons Movie'. It manages to beat out 'Enchanted' which manages to get another tie under it's belt! This time with Edgar Wright's 'Hot Fuzz'. The 5th installment of Harry Potter finishes 4th, surprisingly low! 'Atonement' manages to bag itself a set of preference votes to finish 5th, whilst 'Knocked Up' & 'Hairspray' finish 6th and 7th with no first preferences but a few 2nd preference votes. |

BEST VOICE PERFORMANCE
01. Patton Oswalt as Ratatouille [Ratatouille] (4,0) 02. Dan Castellaneta as Homer Simpson [The Simpsons Movie] (3,3) 03. Eddie Murphy as Donkey [Shrek the Third] (3,2) 04. Julie Kavner as Marge Simpson [The Simpsons Movie] (1,1) 05. Nancy Cartwright as Bart Simpson [The Simpsons Movie] (0,4) Disney Pixar take the win in "Best Voice Performance" as Patton Oswalt takes his character, Ratatouille to victory. Dan Castellaneta manages to finish in silver for his voice work as Homer and Eddie Murphy's iconic 'Shrek' character, Donkey, manages to finish in 3rd and take bronze medal. Marge and Bart Simpson round off the top 5 to give The Simpsons Movie 3 top 5 placings in this category. |

BEST ANIMATED FILM
01. The Simpsons Movie (5,3) 02. Ratatouille (3,3) 03. Shrek The Third (1,3) 04. Bee Movie (1,1) 05. Surf's Up (1,0) Unfortunately for us all, we have LOST as 'The Simpsons Movie' takes home the prize for "Best Animated Film". Pixar's underrated offering in 'Ratatouille' finishes in 2nd position. Somehow, the Shrek movies still have a couple of fans 3 movies in. Recent-ish meme fave 'Bee Movie' struggles and finishes in 4th whilst 'Surf's Up' finishes 5th. |

BEST DIRECTOR
01. David Yates [Harry Potter and the Order Of the Phoenix] (4,2) 02. Edgar Wright [Hot Fuzz] (3,3) 03. Joe Wright [Atonement] (2,1) 04. Adam Shankman [Hairspray] (1,2) 05. John Carney [Once] (1,1) Best director time and David Yates bags the win with the 5th film in the Harry Potter franchise. I feel like, out of all the HP films OOTP is the most underrated/underlooked. So it's good to see Buzzjack giving it the recognition it deserves here. Edgar Wright's funny movie and 2nd in "The Cornetto Trilogy" 'Hot Fuzz' finishes 2nd. Joe Wright's Oscar nominated movie 'Atonement' (starring Keira Knightley and James McAvoy) is in 3rd whilst Adam Shankman manages to get his film version of Broadway smash 'Hairspray' a few votes to finish 4th. Finishing in 5th place is John Carney for his movie 'Once'. |

BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS
01. Saoirse Ronan [Atonement] (3,1) 02. Michelle Pfeiffer [Hairspray] (3,0) 03. Jennifer Hudson [Dreamgirls] (2,1) 04. Queen Latifah [Hairspray] (1,4) 05. Vanessa Redgrave [Atonement] (1,2) 06. Amanda Bynes [Hairspray] (1,1) 07. Idina Menzel [Enchanted] (0,1) Supporting actress time and Shurshur has won herself "Best Supporting Actress" for her role in 'Atonement'. I didnvt realise that film was as much of a big deal as it is. But y'all are appreciating it at least as Vanessa Redgrave also got herself a nom in this category and finished 5th. 3 main players in the infectious 'Hairspray' score nominations and each place themselves at the even numbers 2nd,4th & 6th. The surprise being that Amanda Bynes wasn't the one to finish on top! J-Hud's Oscar winning role lands her in 3rd position and Sam's Queen, Idina, manages to bag herself a nom, but finish last in the category! |

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR
01. John Travolta [Hairspray] (3,4) 02. James Marsden [Enchanted] (3,1) 03. Casey Affleck [The Assassination Of Jesse James] (3,0) 04. Zac Efron [Hairspray] (1,3) 05. Anthony Mackie [Half Nelson] (0,1) Now onto "Best Supporting Actor". Another closely matched category, but with more 2nd pref votes, John Travolta pulls off a convincing win,for his dragtastic role in 'Hairspray'. James Marsden flies high for 'Enchanted' as he finishes 2nd with controversial Oscar winner Casey Affleck finishing 3rd for his role in 'The Assassination Of Jesse James'. I'm surprised to see Zefron "only" finish 4th though! I'd have probs bet that he'd finish 2nd behind John. Anthony Mackie rounds the group off for his role in 'Half Nelson'. A movie I really need to see! |

Lets get down to the top 3 movies, shall we?
BEST FILM (part 1)
=04. Dreamgirls (1,1) =04. Hairspray (1,1) =04. Ratatouille (1,1) 07. Atonement (1,0) 08. Half Nelson (0,1) A real mixed bag here. But all 5 movies fall short. The Ryan Fleck directed Gosling movie, Half Nelson, finishes last with just 1 2nd preference vote. The more popular movie, Atonement, is only just ahead at 7th with 1 first preference vote and in true Buzzjack fashion, we have a 3 way tie in 4th place as Dreamgirls, Hairspray & Ratatouille are all knocked out with the same amount of 1st & 2nd preference votes. So your final 3 movies (in alphabetical order) are: - Enchanted - Harry Potter & The Order Of the Phoenix - The Simpsons Movie Who is your pick to win? |
