Ariana released her sophomore album 'My Everything' on 25th August 2014. This marks a very special 5th anniversary today!

The record spawned a #1 single, another top 3 single and a further top 20 single in the UK. 'Love Me Harder' failed to reach the top 40 here but did chart in the US top 10.

'My Everything' is her biggest selling album in the UK with 386,391 units sold up to 16th August 2019. It is one of two platinum albums for her here and peaked at #3.

A huge success for her for sure. But, what does BuzzJack think of its contents? Time for a RATE of it for the first time!

Overall I think this is my least favourite Ariana album tbh.

Problem and Break Free haven’t aged well with me and a lot of the tracks on this are just passable / average.

Her debut was stronger in terms of it feeling like an album too rather than a collection of singles.

But the three albums what followed this have also been better as a whole than what this was too.

Not a bad album just basic by her standards.

Random observation - 'You Don't Know Me' doesn't seem to have any particularly big fans so far.

I must admit that the bonus tracks were fairly inessential for this album. The 'Dangerous Woman' ones were a lot better!

Yeh 'You Don't Know Me' is very unessential, I don't like the contrast between that really jarring instrumental and her Christmas carol vocal and then that cheesy guitar keeps coming in, the track is a bit of mess. Weirdly(?), I could totally see it being on 'sweetener'. thinking.gif
