Not as melodic as some of their debut which is a little disappointing but I do like how loudy/shouty it is. A shame it's so short too because it just seems to be over so quickly as soon as I start getting into it sad.gif

High hopes for this anyway as I adored the whole of My Love Is Cool (with the slight exception of Swallowtail but that was still nice enough, I guess).

Latest single from the album called "Beautifully Unconventional".

I absolutely ADORED their last album but I've been pretty bored by all of their recent singles. They're nice enough but lacking in anything exciting tbh, I really hope the album has something better on it...

It is a nice single and I do prefer it to Yuk Foo already tbh.

Really looking forward to this album, "Don't Delete The Kisses" is one of my favourite songs of the year.

Now that it's out there, I'm pretty into the album. It starts off strongly and only dips briefly near the back half. Aside from the singles, Planet Hunter & the title track are the immediate standouts. Can't decide whether or not I prefer it to their debut at this stage but I might.

I haven't really cared for any of their previous singles but I quite like 'Beautifully Unconventional' - reminds me a bit of Tenacious D's 'Tribute' though laugh.gif

Indie record stores will be stocking the album on green vinyl while HMV's exclusive release will also include a slipmat

I thought the same! laugh.gif

I've had a listen through of the album; some really nice songs on there with 'Don't Delete the Kisses' coming through as a particular favourite.

I have to say that I really enjoyed their old stuff more, but this new album isn't bad.

Space & Time added to radio 1 playlist - shoulda been released earlier as it's the best track on the album but feels like this is the 15th single from the album!!

I'm a big fan. Ever since their early EPs I've been captivated by their unique songwriting approach and I think they've continued honing it really well over the years. Can't really strike a fair opinion compared to the other nominees since I haven't heard most of them, but this was one of my favourite albums of last year.

The highs of My Love is Cool were unbelievable but Visions of a Life is a much more consistent album throughout and I think it's a lot better. Fully deserving winner.
