Hey!

Some of you may remember I did a rate of Paramore’s singles last year, well being the 100% stan of this band that I am, I really wanted to bring a rate of their album tracks to the forum too as arguably some of their best songs weren't released as singles!

So it’s pretty straight forward, I’m sure you all know how the standard BuzzJack rate goes by now however to remind you…

Below are a list of all of Paramore’s album tracks, listed by album. It’s up to you to rate these songs from 0 to 10 however you are allowed a maximum of five 11s, you do not have to distribute these as one per album, you’re free to use them wherever you like, although you don’t need to use them at all if you do not wish to!

I’m not even going to mention the use of -1 scorings as I’m sure none of you will feel the need to use that when it comes to rating this band’s music You can also use .5s in your scoring but please no 0.5/10.5s. There’s no limit in how many 10s you give but try not to be too excessive, it makes for better results

I’m going to keep this open for two weeks, closing at 23:59 UK time on Wednesday the 22nd of June, so you’ve got plenty of time to get your rates posted below!

I’ve also included songs that appeared on deluxe or special editions of the albums beneath the dashed line as well as the Singles Club tracks, even though they’re kind of part of an EP, I feel like I need to include them as I do think of them as a mini album and their single Monster came from it. I realise there’s probably songs in there that people haven’t heard or have forgotten about so I’ll link to an audio for each because I’m that helpful

I thought about it but I didn't see the point with a separate rate already existing, I think I will post a version of the scoreboard including the singles results when presenting these though, just to get a whole perspective of their discography

If the singles were included I would have probably given the 11s to SIY, AIF, Hallelujah, Grow Up and either When It Rains or Pessimist

As for the albums my favourite would be Paramore followed by Riot! and All We Know Is Falling with Brand New Eyes being my least favourite. It's still decent but was a bit average for their usual style.

Oh wow, I will need to mentally prepare myself a bit. Another excuse to listen to all these amazing albums (from which the singles are definitely not always the best tracks).

My favourite Paramore album constantly changes, I think maybe with the singles it might be AWKIF but then the album tracks aren't as strong whereas with Riot and BNE, the high standard is just so consistent. I think my favourite body of work by them is 100% the Singles Club and I SO wish they did more with it and released physical copies

Those 5 11s are all in my Paramore top 10 (which for the record also includes Misery Business, Ignorance, Careful, Playing God and Still Into You, with crushcrushcrush hovering just outside), such timeless gems. Riot! is always best album.

Nothing lower than a 5 and I would use those if I wanted to. So good.

Also... the winner of this NEEDS to be For A Pessimist...

As a whole, the album flows really well with each other and I can get lost in whatever I'm doing just listening to it. However, having to rank the songs individually as a rate really showed me what the weak songs were. 8/10 as a whole album.
