Yes but you implied that it wouldn’t air the week before the albums release.. I think it’s actually better to have a break this weekend and then have consecutive shows that encompass the albums release (and after it too). Also Little Mix will definitely win this battle. Let's just hope both can do any promo as the way things are looking the country could be in lockdown just when everyone wants to go and purchase in a shop. A circuit breaker lockdown of 3-4 weeks would mean only online orders and streaming. And very limited TV Promo.... |

I just wish kylies album was out now before any lock down and less comptition aswell, if her album was out this week she would have a clear number 1.

Just rumours, she'll more likely release a single and an album closer to December.

I think Adele will go for the 27th blocking Gary!
Ariana will probably be #3 on the Nov 6 chart week though she’ll probably overtake Kylie again the next week but I think her week two won’t be too much of a threat to LM and Kylies week one. The more I’m looking at this battle I’m actually starting to begin to sway more to Little Mix getting it. I do think it’ll be close I’ll be shocked if there’s a runaway winner on this one. |

I really don't get why everyone is now taking it as a given that an Adele album is coming so soon when there has been no indication of any activity from her at all other than her hosting an SNL episode lol ~

Because it’s perfect promo and opportunity slot for Adele to announce something it just feels right / natural that although she’s not the performer the show will likely end with her announcing the single / album release date.
It’s pretty much the best show she can do really in terms of getting an announcement out there and there’ll be some reasoning behind why she’s hosting it and why now too. Idk we could all be reading a lot into this but this is Adele she’s very quiet and likes to stay out the limelight but she’s s*** hot when she does have a release out there at ensuring we all know about it! |

We’ve heard the Adele rumour every year since 2016, I won’t believe it until I see it. I know she could get away with a sudden Beyoncé-esque release but I think she’s still have a couple of weeks of build up.

Well we will soon find out.
If Adele doesn't release then still think Little Mix will take this comfortably from current activity Although rumour has it Kylie will make somekind of promo announcement today , maybe about a live streaming event |

Adele has never appeared in public "just because". If she has a host slot on SNL (the biggest promo apart from big award show) she must be cooking something.

yes for sure, no one is denying that, but some think the album is gonna drop out next week
I think the SNL is just the start of the roll out |

Yea but regardless if it's out next week or the week after or 6th of Nov, it'll affect this chart battle.
I would think it'll be either surprise release after her appearance (or a single) or released on 27th of November though. |

Isn't she literally just doing this as a standalone thing because it's something she's always wanted to do?
I'm not expecting new music imminently. |

There has been no proper confirmation about Adele yet so it may not even happen yet!

Love how Adele has basically taken over a thread to discuss Little Mix vs Kylie

Her album is apparently 27th of November, which is a lot more believable given it is close to the release date of her last album.
In terms of this actual chart battle, I still keep flip flopping between who I think will take it! Kylie has some massive advantages like Graham Norton on release day but Little Mix have gone to town with the signed bundles and are already showing signs of it being a very big streaming first week. Kylie's songs are struggling streaming wise and literally on no Spotify playlists
Little Mix are are getting half their album out there already and getting them on playlists ready Sadly I think Little Mix. Kylie has just announced a Global streaming event for 7th November and buying a CD from her website gives you early bird tickrt access. Not sure why you need early bird tickets for a virtual event? |

I don't think streaming is going to be that significant a factor in this race. Little Mix are not that big on streaming either (obviously bigger than Kylie but the difference between their streaming sales won't be more than a few thousand I'd think). They'll both get the majority of their numbers from actual sales.

I can see Little Mix doing 9k on streaming while maybe... 2k for Kylie? I actually think streaming could make the difference, the meltdowns if it does *.*
I like both artists so I don't have a particular preference to who gets it, 'Magic' is my fave song from either era though and it'd be nice if Kylie got her #1 in 5 decades but she'll easily get it another time I guess! |
