Where as I finished it today and thought it was generally quite excellent. I think the first episode is deliberately 'light', it gets better...

Yeh, I was quite critical of this going into it and felt the same coming out of Episode 1. It takes a few episodes, as it builds to the more hard-hitting stuff to really take its stride.

I have the second episode on the iPad still. When I next head somewhere for work, I'll give it a go.

I know I'm VERY late to this but I pretty much just binge watched the whole 13 episodes in under 24 hours I was completely hooked (legit stayed up until 5:30am last night watching this...) and so emotionally invested in the characters. Definitely a massively important story to tell and I'm glad they didn't shy away from showing some pretty harrowing scenes because it just makes everything hit harder. Clay and Hannah were excellently cast and the actors did such a good job. I can see why people have said it but I didn't find Hannah unlikable at all, I just felt for her SO much (and her mum too, Kate Walsh also did a brilliant job).
I'm very excited to see that a Series 2 has been confirmed, excited to see where they take it. I hope it's a continuation of the story of these characters and not a completely new set-up. |

Looks like there's a pre-release screening in the US this weekend that people can apply for to go and see Season 2 in its entirety. Surely this means the actual release date on Netflix is imminent?!

Ooh I hope so! I still have no idea how S2 will go but I'm so excited to see what happens and how they handle it.

So excited about the 2nd season, feel like it could be really profound if about a school shooting as rumoured, especially if done as well as the first series.

they have edited the suicide scene in season 1 so you don’t see the actual act of it. |
